by Djokodal_Fan In baseball, the intimate interplay between a pitcher and catcher is a unique relationship, unmatched by duos in any other sport. For instance, it’s important for a football quarterback to be in sync with his receivers, and linemates in hockey need to click together well in order to ensure effective scoring. But nowhere else is the alignment of mindset between two players so profound, as that between pitcher and catcher in baseball. — Or, the one where Alex and Henry’s unshakable friendship is the keystone of their respective roles as the celebrated Catcher and Pitcher respectively, on the baseball team from St. Stephen’s, Austin. They’ve led their school to multiple victories in the Little League and the NFHS Youth series, and their friends and teammates have long called them ‘platonic soulmates’. Both of them have always thought the tag fit. Until things start to change, and they realise they don’t feel platonically about each other, after all. That starts the process of Alex and Henry exploring all the bases together off field, as well. They have to navigate a few strikes along the way, but when their rapport has been built through years of ironclad friendship, the outcome is never really in doubt. The Curious Case of the Sabotaging Wingman

by Djokodal_Fan Henry has been hopelessly in love with his best friend as long as he can remember. While Alex and he are as close as ever, it hurts seeing him flit from one gorgeous girl to another; an assembly line of dates which never seem to last all that long. When Alex's inevitable breakup happens after at most a couple months of dating; Henry, as Alex's best friend, confidante and bedrock of support, is there to help him through his brief periods of moping. Until it's back to the rinse repeat cycle again. This goes on until Bea is fed up seeing her brother intensely pining over his best friend. She insists that Henry go out on dates, to at least try and get over Alex. Though Henry isn't really sure it would do any good, he gives in to Bea's insistence. Which is when Alex unexpectedly leaps in, insisting that he accompany Henry as his wingman. Nothing dissuades him from his determination to fulfil this role. Funnily enough, though, Alex's interventions seem to have the opposite effect of what a wingman is customarily supposed to do. Not that Henry's complaining - he gets to spend more time with Alex, after all. But does Alex himself realize what his motivations truly are? Su Culpa (Their Fault) - aka The Adventures of cinematically histrionic Alex and poetically dramatic Henry

by Djokodal_Fan Alex, the son of US Ambassador to Sweden Oscar Diaz, and Henry, the son of UK Ambassador Catherine Hanover-Stuart Fox, are highly antagonistic rivals. They are key members of their respective high school football teams, and have had a tempestuous relationship tinged by mutual acrimony and yet, an inexplicable and irresistible pull. Try as they might, they are quite unable to let the other be, or simply avoid each other. Their animosity had been fuelled by a misunderstanding at their first meeting, 18 months ago. Until one day, circumstances force them to bury their feud, since they are both drafted to a combined school team which is to play against the visiting Norwegian team, on the occasion of Sweden's National Day. The Shape of Water

They’ve never had any secrets from each other all these years. None, except for a single massive secret which Henry had been keeping from his best friend - that he’s been head over heels in love with Alex throughout high school. And maybe it’s just his wishful thinking, but of late it seems that Alex might have feelings for him too; that go beyond friendship. But now the days of reckoning before college draw ever closer. There are critical swimming championships to win at State athletic conferences and Sectionals; and Ellen’s unfolding attempt to clinch the Democratic nomination for the Presidential Elections puts pressure on portraying Alex as the golden boy, the perfect son, the quintessential All-American dream - to appeal to all sections of the electorate. Will Alex and Henry have their chance at Love? Or will it all be swept away by the inexorable flood of circumstance? Red Earth and Pouring Rain

The battle royale between two behemoths: Mountchristen Corp., helmed by Company President, Mary Mountchristen; and Claremont Industries, headed by CEO, Ellen Claremont. The Mountchristen versus Claremont feud goes back a century and a half, and their mutual animosity has lasted well into the present day. Alex Claremont-Diaz, however, could not care less. Setting Fire to Water
