Horizontal blinds feature horizontal slats that run across the window and are often operated by a wire or wand that changes the angle of the slats to control the amount of light entering the room.
Vertical blinds contain vertical slats and are often used for large windows or sliding glass doors. They are operated by a chain or wand, which spins the slats to adjust the quantity of light and privacy.
Blinds may be made to accommodate a variety of window sizes and designs. They come in a range of colours, textures, and styles, making them an adaptable solution for any décor. They may help insulate a space by limiting heat loss during the colder months, in addition to managing light and privacy.

Singapore Licensed Moneylender for Renovation Loan
Singapore renovation loans are renovation loans that are specifically designed for homeowners who want to improve their property. Singaporeans can turn standard properties into dream homes by borrowing a set amount to put towards essential or non-essential home improvements with the right renovation loan with a good monthly repayment rate and low fees.
Singapore Licensed Moneylender for Renovation loans can help homeowners access the funds they need to make their dream home a reality in a world where typical renovations can cost up to $100,000.
Whether you need a new roof, a mid-range bathroom renovation, or just want to brighten up your kitchen, Instant Loan can help you secure a renovation loan with great monthly repayment rates, a generous payback loan tenure, and unparalleled flexibility, regardless of your credit score.
1. Rates of interest
When applying for a loan, one of your primary concerns should always be the overall cost of borrowing. Naturally, a higher interest rate and fees may result in a higher monthly repayment rate and overall cost, so choosing a low interest deal is critical.
What can you use a renovation loan for?
While it may be tempting to use a renovation loan to pay off your mortgage or home loan, there are several things you cannot do with it, including pay off your mortgage or home loan or purchase new furniture or appliances.
For those, you should consider taking out a personal loan, the proceeds of which can be used to meet your needs and desires, such as purchasing a washing machine or installing curtains.
·        Carpentry
·        Bathroom remodeling
·        Painting or tiling walls and floors
·        Roofs and fences are examples of external enhancements.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Renovation Loan
When comparing the best renovation loan Singapore has to offer right now with other competitive quotes, several factors must be carefully considered.
2. The loan amount
You should also consider how much money you require and how it compares to how much money you can realistically afford to borrow.
Different moneylenders will offer different maximum and minimum approved loan amounts, so this must also be considered. In most cases, the maximum loan amount is six times your monthly salary (subject to legal requirement).
3. Fees and expenses
In Singapore, renovation loans are rarely fee-free. When you apply for a renovation loan, it is not uncommon for money lenders to charge a processing fee. When a renovation loan is approved, the processing fees should be less than 10% of the loan principal.
If the payment is not made on time, it may incur late interest of 4% per month and a fee of up to $60 for each month of late repayment.
4. Provider of loans
Borrowers can always save money by shopping around because there are dozens of home loan and renovation loan providers on the market. For example, DBS currently offers a renovation loan with a low interest rate for two years, but licensed money lenders may offer better overall deals. It's also not uncommon for money lenders to lower their rates and offer one-time discounts, so it's always a good idea to shop around.

Day 30 - Departures
I left my comfortable Nagoya hotel room as late as possible, and, one last time, unfolded my Brompton bike to head to Nagoya Station. Setting the tone for the remainder of my trip, the large station, which would have been crowded before the pandemic, was quiet, and the Shinkansen platforms almost devoid of passengers.
From my left-hand seat on the train taking me to Tokyo, I enjoyed the views towards the mountains. When we approached Mount Fuji, I was too slow to pick up my camera, but it looked splendid in the late sunset light. So often, I had been on this train line and had missed Mount Fuji for lack of timing or because it would be hidden behind a curtain of clouds. This sight alone made me realise how much I would miss Japan in the years ahead.
Even at this early stage, it would have been difficult to ignore the implications of a world pandemic. Would I remain fit enough to cycle long distances or walk medium distances in two years time? Would travel be affordable? Would the world be plunged in a deep depression? How many lives would the virus take? How many jobs would be lost? How would my friends, my elderly parents and the rest of my family cope?...
It is in this gloomy state of mind that I arrived at Tokyo Station. But then, one last glimpse of the impeccable sense of service one experiences in Japan cheered me up instantly. Just outside the station, where all long distance buses were lined up, uniformed employees were available to handle your luggage and walk you to the precise vehicle destined to the door-step of your hotel. This ballet of smiling, enthusiastic, and hard-working assistants could not have existed anywhere else in the world. I wanted to thank them all, and offered them my best bows and smiles.
Under normal circumstances, the Narita Tobu Hotel was another place which I would not have been able to afford. However, with the Pandemic taking hold, it was begging for clients, and its impressive rooms were heavily discounted. At the little hotel shop, I found excellent Japanese hand creams for myself and also for my poor daughter who, in a few short weeks, had developed painfully dry red hands from using hydro-alcoholic gel dozens of times at her public library job. I had researched these hand creams on the Internet, and they proved to be the best we had ever used.
The next day, I had no place to go between my 10 am hotel check-out and my 8 pm flight home. This gave me hours to explore every aspect of every shop around Narita Airport. I even bought a couple of things just to kill time: a light and soft airplane blanket and a tiny portable essential oil diffuser from Muji - comforting items to deal with the times perhaps. I used my last bit of cash to treat myself to a traditional Tempura lunch.
In preparation for my flight, I put on the only proper surgical mask in my possession, the one given to me by Satoko in Nagoya. She had two whole boxes of them in a cupboard in the entrance of her home. In 4 weeks, I had not had any luck in finding such masks anywhere in Japan. I was astonished at their sight, and I told my friend she was holding no less than a treasure. She had laughed, and replied that most homes in Japan have a small stock of masks in preparation for the cold, flu or pollen seasons.
In the long empty corridor leading to the boarding lounge, I came across this digital picture of Bach. “Smiling Bach” winked at me as I walked past, and made me jump before I bursted laughing.
There was a small group of chatty Australian passengers of all ages waiting to board the Brisbane flight. They had not been holidaying in Japan, but instead had come from all over the planet. When I heard their story after story of how they had struggled to find a way to return home, I kept quiet, humbled, and felt very lucky indeed. Some had had to endure days of travelling via obscure Eastern European or Middle-Eastern airports, and nights sleeping on their floors with no local currency to buy a sandwich. Imagine how tired they felt and also how relieved they all were to have made it to this boarding lounge! All faces lit up when the Qantas crew arrived.
Perhaps because there had been a well-televised incident involving toilet paper and two women fighting over it at a supermarket in Sydney, a Qantas Stewardess was embarking with a large bag of cheap Japanese toilet paper in hand. The Australian warmth and sense of humour reigned on that night flight to Brisbane. Although Qantas had treated me quite badly in the past, it was all forgiven. Thank you Singapore Airlines for finding me a seat on that last direct flight to Brisbane, and thank you Qantas for cheering me up with that famous Aussie spirit.
At Brisbane Airport, an army of staff in HAZMAT suits was waiting for us to check our temperature and make us fill several forms. My daughter picked me up in her little red car, and took me home for my 2-week quarantine. Following all rules, there was no hugging and I wore my mask in the car. My travelling days felt over for the time being, but I was home and safe.

Where do most interior designers work?
Inside creators plan and plan the insides of structures. They work for inside plan firms, structural firms, retail locations, and the plan branches of huge enterprises or organizations. Some have their own organizations. Inside planners frequently have some expertise in homes, clinics, inns, or banks.
The most generously compensated inside architect
The main three best—and probably the most lucrative inside plan firms in the United States are Gensler, Jacobs, and HOK. Working for a huge firm is a decent path for inside originators to make more than the public normal compensation.
How would I financial plan for inside plan
*I encourage my customers to spending seven to a modest amount of the home's cost for inside plan costs. For instance, a customer should spending plan between $350,000 to $500,00 to completely plan and outfit a $5 million property.
What amount do inside originators increase furniture
"A simple method to try not to charge hourly is to upcharge materials by a rate 35-65% markup on everything from curtain to furniture to craftsmanship. In the event that you can open records with the sellers and buy these things discount, even with the markup it is practically identical to retail estimating for the customer.

Parity multi-sig frozen
Parity postmortem. Parity will look to unfreeze the multi-sig funds through the EIP process.  Frustratingly, Ricardo Guilherme Schmidt had flagged the init issue on August 3rd, so the init fix "was to be deployed in a regular update at a future point in time."
The web3 Foundation reiterated that it has 45m and will deliver Polkadot, but without an unfreeze would have to curtail planned spending on Whisper, Swarm, tooling, etc

Ultimate budget travel guide in Scandinavia: Is it possible & how?, Lifestyle, Travel News
If you Google ‘the most expensive travel destinations in the world’, cities in Scandinavia will easily find a spot in the top 10. Norway, Denmark and Sweden have high costs of living and rightfully so because of their great welfare, infrastructure and quality of life.
Unfortunately, these expensive costs weigh upon visitors and travellers to these countries. A budget trip there could easily be the equivalent of excessively splurging in trips across Southeast Asia. However, some sights in Scandinavia are truly breathtaking and cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
So is it possible to really get by and execute a budget trip in Scandinavia? We think it’s possible.
FLIGHTS
Flights usually take up a bulk of your budget when planning a trip. Ever since Norwegian Airlines cancelled its budget route from Singapore to London, there has not been another alternative budget hack when booking flights to Scandinavia.
One reliable method of getting cheaper tickets to Northern Europe is simply to book early in advance. A good time would be around more than 6 months in advance.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation in Scandinavia is generally expensive no matter where you look. Rather than stay somewhere absurdly far away from the city centre, there are a few spots to stay in that go easy on the wallet.
NORWAY
1. COCHS PENSJONAT
Tumblr media
Photo: Cochs Pensjonat
In the centre of Oslo lies Cochs Pensjonat, a guesthouse accommodation which is literally a block away from The Royal Palace.
Cochs is rather cosy with a wooden interior and charming appeal. There’s free WiFi and it is walking distance to the shopping district.
Tumblr media
Photo: Cochs Pensjonat
If shopping doesn’t appeal to you, there are also parks, bars and restaurants near where you stay. This is definitely convenient if you want to fully explore Oslo.
90 bucks might seem steep but it is already considered rather affordable for accommodations in such a convenient location. Due to the location, you are bound to save on transport costs from travelling around the capital city.
Price: Approx. $90 per night (single room) Website
DENMARK
1. WOODAH HOSTEL
Tumblr media
Photo: Woodah Hostel
Don’t mind bunking with other travellers? Woodah offers 30 bunk bed cabins in different dorm rooms for the backpacker. If all you require is a bed, Woodah should be your top choice. Each bed cabin is equipped with a privacy curtain, reading light and private locker.
The hostel is located in the area of Vesterbro where things are hip and happening. Parks, galleries and museums are also located nearby so you’ll always have things to explore and do.
Tumblr media
Photo: Woodah Hostel
If you’re a yogi, Woodah has mats and other yoga equipment within the hostel free for you to use. Get discounts at local yoga schools as well if you happen to discover a class you fancy.
Price: From $65 per night (mixed dorm room) Website
2. COPENHAGEN BACKPACKERS
Tumblr media
Photo: Copenhagen Backpackers
Easily access the city centre from Copenhagen Backpackers which is only a minute’s walk from Copenhagen Central Station.
The hostel is outfitted with dorms filled with bunk beds perfect for travellers who still want a comfortable stay. Bed curtains are included and there’s even a breakfast buffet for all guests!
Tumblr media
Photo: Copenhagen Backpackers
Looking to explore beautiful Copenhagen more quickly? Rent a bike from the hostel for a small fee each day. The hostel promises to match the price of other bike rental stores if they come at a cheaper price as well. One way to go budget.
Price: From $60 per night (mixed dorm room) Website
3. BEDWOOD HOSTEL I NYHAVN
Tumblr media
Photo: Bedwood Hostel
Feel at home at Bedwood Hostel. The backpacker hostel is simple and cosy, much like a bed and breakfast. The rooms consist of bunk beds with privacy curtains and reading lamps. If you happen to be on the tall side, the beds are also 2 metres long so you’ll have enough space.
Tumblr media
Photo: Bedwood Hostel
At the common area, you’ll get to interact with other guests and get a hot drink to pass the night along. If you prefer some outdoor time, there is a courtyard where you can relax.
Top up $9 more to get a breakfast buffet to your stay which serves muesli, oatmeal, ham, sausage and home baked bread.
Price: From $69 per night (mixed dorm room) Website
SWEDEN
1. CITY BACKPACKERS
Tumblr media
Photo: City Backpackers
This hostel opened its doors back in 1994 and has been thriving since. City Backpackers in Stockholm offers mixed dorm rooms as well as female-only ones. If you don’t mind spending a bit more, you can opt for double private rooms or private apartments.
If you want to cook your meals to save on your spending, City Backpackers has a guest kitchen for all your basic needs. There’s free WiFi throughout the hostel as well so you can Google recipes on the fly.
Tumblr media
Photo: City Backpackers
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day arguably and you can’t start exploring Stockholm on an empty stomach. This hostel has got you covered with breakfast served at the reception every morning which includes yoghurt, fruit and sandwiches!
Price: From $90 per night (single room) Website
2. INTERHOSTEL (STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN)
Tumblr media
Photo: Interhostel
This could possibly be the cheapest accommodation in Stockholm. Interhostel labels itself as a youth hostel which is comfortable and has the best location. Despite its price point, the hostel ensures quality for their beds and facilities.
Stockholm’s most popular shopping street is just a walk away and train stations are not too far off as well.
Tumblr media
Photo: Interhostel
Another great thing about Interhostel is the guest kitchen. Since a cheap supermarket is only 5 minutes away, you can easily cook yourself meals and save your moolah.
If you’re too lazy, there’s also a microwave which can be used by guests. For $61 per night, this might seem like a steal in Scandinavia.
Price: From $61 per night (dorm room) Website
3. CAMPING
Tumblr media
Photo: Unsplash
This is the ultimate budget accommodation choice you have when travelling in Sweden. There is a ‘freedom to roam’ law which allows people to camp in forested areas as long as they abide by certain rules.
You basically can only camp in forested areas even if it is on someone’s property. Crops, gardens and open fields of another person’s property is not allowed. It is encouraged that you only stay for two nights so others do not think you’re squatting in the area. Some areas also have exceptions which you need to take note of.
If you love camping and want to really save on that budget, go on right ahead.
CHEAP EATS
One tip we discovered about saving on food in Scandinavia is simply to cook most of your meals. Groceries are not too expensive and budget supermarkets can be found easily in major cities. All you need is a kitchen.
Even if you don’t have access to a kitchen, many travellers advised on putting together simple sandwiches which do not require cooking.
NORWAY
Tumblr media
Photo: Facebook/coopprix
For Norway, there are a few options for discount groceries and ingredients. Our first recommendation is Coop Prix which is a discount store chain which sells ingredients and other types of groceries.
Other popular ones are Kiwi and REMA 1000 which are basically no frills supermarket chains which would work just fine for travellers looking for basic and simple ingredients for cooking.
DENMARK
Tumblr media
Photo: Facebook/Dalle Valle (Bruun’s Galleri)
If you’re a big eater but don’t want to break the bank, Denmark has Dalle Valle which is a buffet restaurant which comes rather cheap, for buffets at least. You can get Western dishes and salad here for between $16 -20 depending on the meal and time of day.
SWEDEN
Tumblr media
Photo: Facebook/goohgooh
There is an increase in popularity of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine across Sweden which come at wallet-friendly prices. We recommend trying kebabs or hotdogs from food trucks which usually have big portion meals at under $10.
Another Swedish fast food chain you could try is GOOH! which has meals all under $10 as well.
FREE OR CHEAP ATTRACTIONS
The only thing that is better than cheap is free. Visiting sights and attractions at no cost is the ultimate tip for keeping a low budget. Below are some recommendations for attractions that can be visited at no cost (with a few really cheap exceptions).
OSLO, NORWAY
Tumblr media

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK
Tumblr media

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
Tumblr media

INTERCITY TRAVEL
Your starting point in Scandinavia will determine how you would be travelling from each country and city. But this also depends on your flight destination.
If you happen to travel from Copenhagen, we recommend looking for overnight cruises or boats to Oslo, Norway. They usually come very cheap and will minus one day’s spending on accommodation.
From Sweden, we recommend taking highway buses Swebus or Nettbuss to other cities or countries nearby. If you can find an overnight one, that would help a lot.
SHOULD I SEE THE NORTHERN LIGHTS?
Tumblr media
Photo: Unsplash
To watch the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis, you’d have to travel as close to the Arctic Circle as possible. Unfortunately, the cities up North in Scandinavia are pretty far from the capital cities and travelling there will take a portion of your budget.
If you do want to catch a sure glimpse of Aurora Borealis, travel up as far as Bodø in Norway. Any lower and there might not be a sure chance of catching the lights. If you can afford to set aside a portion of your budget, go on right ahead.

Amazon Prime Day 2019 expands to become a 48-hour sale on July 15-16
Amazon is preparing for its longest Prime Day ever. The company announced today it will host a 48-hour Prime Day sales event this year, starting at midnight on Monday, July 15 and extending for two full days. The Amazon sales holiday — its own version of a Black Friday-type sale — will feature over a million deals worldwide, including what it claims will be the biggest Prime Day discounts on Alexa devices to date.
On prior Prime Day sales events, Amazon has heavily slashed prices on its own hardware — essentially giving away devices at cost or even less in a reach for market share. These deals help draw in the crowds, making Prime Day a constant record-breaker in terms of sales. Last year, for example, Prime Day became Amazon’s biggest-ever sales day even despite a number of serious glitches at its start. And its top sellers were the Echo Dot and Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote.
Amazon also last year put its own devices on sale 12 hours early. It has now apparently learned from that success with this new decision to make Prime Day 2019 a 48-hour sale. And to kick things off, Amazon is today putting a Fire TV Edition Smart TV on sale by offering $120 off on the Toshiba HD 43-inch Fire TV Edition Smart TV ($179.99), through June 30 or while supplies last.
In addition to sales on its own devices, Amazon promises other limited-time offers, plus new entertainment and exclusive launches, both online and in-store. It’s touting new Lighting Deals from big-name brands, too, and “big surprises” from top talent across Prime benefits Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch Prime.
There will also be collaborations with actors, musicians, athletes and top brands including new Prime Day Launches and exclusive deals. Starting today, Jordan Peele’s “Us” is on sale for $2.99.
Prime members will also have access to 24 new JoJo Siwa products including a scooter, roller skates, bow bundle, and fashion line. Meanwhile, Levi’s teamed up with Pro Football Player Sterling Shepard, and model Chanel Iman Shepard to customize Levi’s Iconic 501 for him and Levi’s 721 High Rise for her.
There will also be a special-edition electric bike from Schwinn, a limited-edition natural canvas tote from FEED, and a new organic line of clothing for baby, Moon and Back by Hanna Andersson.
Other Alexa devices available today include the Jabra Elite85h wireless headphones and the iOttie Easy One Touch Connect smartphone car mount.
“Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day,” said Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer, in a statement. “Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member – when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen. Stay tuned as we reveal exclusive savings at Whole Foods Market, thousands of new product launches, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day on July 15 and 16.”
Prime Day 2019 will run for the first time in the United Arab Emirates, which joins other participating markets including the U.S., U.K., Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, and Australia.

Learning Journeys (Compiled)
During my stay in the UK, I definitely found the gallery/exhibition scene really vibrant. I got a Student Art Fund card that allowed for discounts/free entries across the UK, which helped me see more exhibits and I would really recommend that other students get it. I wasn’t really in the habit of going to exhibitions where I had to pay for entry (there are quite a few free entry galleries in Singapore) but after going for a few, I definitely left feeling like it was worth the money. For the most part, the exhibits were thought provoking and inspirational, and more often than not I found myself borderline obsessively trying to document what I saw. It definitely raised my standards for what I expect to gain from seeing exhibits in general. As a current benchmark, an exhibit wouldn’t have been satisfying if I don’t walk away with a new idea for a project and questions about life/society/culture/etc.
Here are the various exhibits that I saw during my stay in the UK that are relevant to this course, numbered for easy reference. They are also followed by some of my favourite parts of each exhibit.
1. London Design Biennale 2018 (Somerset House)
Tumblr media
Needless to say, the London Design Biennale was amazing. Besides the weird container in the front right of the yard of Somerset House (it was some advertising for the yatch sponsor or something), everything was great.
There was an exhibit (that I forgot to take a picture of the exhibit details) that will become my go-to example the next time someone asks me what Marshall McLuhan’s The Medium is the Message means.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pictured above is an exhibit about a small, vibrant fishing village somewhere (again, sorry I didn’t take a photo of the card). The entire installation and all its parts were made with something that represented the town (e.g. the lines hanging down were fishing lines weighed down by fishing weights, the fabric of traditional costumes) and held a deeper meaning as a whole. The white fabrics signified the future to come and to be shaped.
Tumblr media
Norway focused on inclusive design, which is something that should be considered when designing anything.
Tumblr media
I also took the chance to observe and document how installations were set up. (pictured below)
Tumblr media
Hong Kong’s exhibit was also one of my favourites, the four walls surrounding other objects on display were covered in scratch and sniff wallpaper lined with scents familiar to the country and its culture/history.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The egg tart and roast duck smells made us hungry.
Tumblr media
Another favourite that I forgot to document because I was too busy playing with it was the top of show, a glass piece that used condensation to allow audiences to leave a mark that eventually disappears. (end)
Tumblr media
2. The Future Starts Here (Victoria and Albert Museum)
Another great exhibit that was very thought provoking and spanned a whole bunch of technological AND social issues. If anything, I was super overwhelmed by the end of it because I was trying to cram so much information in.
Tumblr media
This was one of the more emotionally provocative installations. It details the life of an individual (who by the way, had a really hard life) through the curtains pictured below that would open and close depending on what he was doing at the time. One of the curtains moved if Oumarou Idrissa was tossing and turning in his sleep, which he did while I was there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favourite turned out to be the Sand Pit for Learning How to Design the Planet. You get to play with the sand which changed the lights that are projected on it. The more sand, it becomes a snowy mountain. Dig deep, and it becomes water. Will add the video eventually if I decide to host the video somewhere. (end)
Tumblr media
3. Artificially Intelligent (Victoria and Albert Musuem)
I’m not sure if this was meant to be a small exhibit or if the exhibit had ended already but there were only a few installations on display.
It generally didn’t leave much of an impression on me besides the piece on the call for feminist data which perplexed me at first but turned out to be something really important.
Tumblr media
One other part that I neglected to document was an AI that you could talk to near the entrance. I didn’t try it because the friend I was with tried it and when he said bye to the AI, the AI pleaded for him to stay because “they will delete me”. Talk about creepy. (end)
Tumblr media
4. Hooked (Science Gallery London)
About addiction. Fairly interesting exhibit with many varying mediums. My favourite was No Change, both on a technical and conceptual aspect.
Tumblr media
I also have a video for this (pending upload)
Tumblr media
(end)
Tumblr media
5. Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam
My friends wanted to come here to see Metahaven’s exhibit but I honestly wasn’t all too excited about it. (pictured below)
Tumblr media
I did, however, find other exhibits that were more interesting to me such as Trip Trip Trap (pictured below) that was a room full of interactive devices that were fun to interact with and visually exciting.
Tumblr media
Another piece that I found interesting was an installation about immigration detailed below
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(end)
Tumblr media
6. Amsterdam Lights Festival (Around Amsterdam)
This Lights Festival was honestly disappointing. At the end of it, it seemed more like a way Amsterdam tried to boost its canal tour revenue (the installations were spaced far apart alongside the canal, and canal tours were available for after dark). It advertised works in line with the whole Medium is the Message thing, but most works were really just reaching except maybe the first one we saw, Desire, details below.
Tumblr media
(end)
Tumblr media
7. Video Games: Design/Play/Disrupt (Victoria and Albert Museum)
To lift the mood a little, the Video Games exhibit was absolutely worth going to. Split into three parts (Design/Play/Disrupt), I felt like there was something to offer for everyone. It was interesting to see the design aspect of games that included things from triple A developers to individual developers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favourite to read was Consume Me, that detailed the prototyping process of someone who’s really an artist rather than a developer. It opens the possibilities of artists using games as a medium for their art.
There was a curated video (pictured below) that I honestly wish I had the time to finish and wish I could watch it again outside the museum and reference to it (this also happened with another curated video at the Disrupt portion) and I started to wonder about what happens to all the wonderfully curated videos after an exhibit ends. Project idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, this exhibit was great and I’d recommend going for it. (end)
8. The Recent One at UH
Tumblr media
This piece (shout out to Julian) was amazing in the technical aspect and also please share about how you made it work.
Tumblr media
the exhibit pictured below also showed me something new that could be done for an installation and I have an upcoming idea for it.
Tumblr media
(end)
Tumblr media
9. Tate Modern
I planned a trip to Tate Modern mostly to see Jenny Holzer’s work. But the Tate Modern is humongous and we ended up looking at a bunch of other great stuff for most of the day and still only saw 2-3 levels of content on one side of the building.
Jenny Holzer’s stuff, pictured below
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we ended up looking at Living Cities (below) where I saw one of the best curated videos I’ve ever seen
Tumblr media
(I have some recordings of it if anyone’s interested)
Tumblr media
We also saw The Clock by Christian Marclay, and despite seeing the time all the time during the film I could have sat there all day if we didn’t have to leave for dinner plans.
