@dryndelicate has once again given me wonderful outfits to model. This time leather dirndls. I love leather, and this kind of dress. And look how good “the girls” look! 😉

I did it. I made the Austrian Miku(s)

And yes, the fancy umbrella is a part of the attire, so is the dress being short enough to see the white stockings lol

The colour scheme now, for the revived traditional wear is a bit more like this:

And I could not resist making an all teal version just for maximum Miku, under the cut!

Also, Miku is young and thus would probably not have gotten the full goldhaube yet, but instead a smaller golden cap meant for teens and young adults. There is of course also a smaller cap even for tiny little ones bc it's cute. Both in gold though.

The first image is from what I gathered from illustrations around the 1890s, the second is closer to what my grandma wears for church processions on holidays, like Easter etc. It's a very shiny black fabric, and the umbrella has the same one. The dress being this short is not a thing anymore, my grandma's dress is almost floor length, but it was in all the old illustrations I found!

Some historical(ish) costumes I made this fall!

1. A stola and palla for my Chappell “Rome” costume to go to my local con

2. A chemise a la reine made from Ikea curtains

3. A viking era smokkr (plus the cloak I made a while ago), just for casual wear. I wore it today to go see the new LOTR movie :)
