I have a deep love for science fiction, fantasy & horror themes.

I like a pretty wide range of music; metal, punk, ska, new wave, drum n bass & some other EDM.

My favourite colour is blue, I love hairless cats & Australian wildlife.

I like to draw a lot, my art blog is @staticblitz :) I also have a Crash Bandicoot side-blog @n-trance which is strictly sfw.

I'm very politically active with strong Anarchist leanings, I heavily criticize capitalism, liberalism, nationalism & imperialism. I align myself with marginalized people & workers above all. Anti-fascist.

I'm sexpositive & an on-n-off sexworker, sexworker liberation is very important to me.

I'm also a cult survivor, I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness & have a lotta weird trauma surrounding that lol

Timelines of Magina, an Overview

It has occurred to me, nearly a year after coming up with it, that I have not yet taken the time to discuss the Timelines of Magina concept on this blog, though I've brought it up elsewhere, mostly on Discord. It sprouted from the main fic due to my influences being so many and varied that I felt bad leaving them unacknowledged.

As of now, there are seven total timelines in the greater Maginaverse:

The Main Timeline: The one I'm most likely to write up in full, the one I started posting last December, the one I have, thus far, put the most thought into. Featuring the cast of Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh DM/GX/5D's, TMNT 2003, Winx Club and a healthy side of Pokémon, as well as a number of OCs and original concepts from my Sisterlands series (this is also true for most of the other timelines, with the exception of one I will point out when we get to it).

The Alternate Anime Timeline: Featuring some of the anime I cut from the original Magina lineup, plus a few cartoons to round out the numbers. Featuring the casts of Sailor Moon, Digimon Adventure/Tamers/Frontier, Card Captor Sakura, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, and He-Man/She-Ra (Filmation flavours).

Neo Anime Timeline: Featuring anime/cartoons I only got into after leaving High School (The OG Magina concept was created at the end of Year 10 for me, so when I was sixteen). One Piece is here because it has grown so much since I first saw the 4Kids dub, and that dub did it so dirty, that it's a whole different beast from the one I had initially considered adding to the OG Magina lineup. Featuring the casts of One Piece, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, A:TLA/LoK, and Steven Universe.

The Witches Timeline: It could technically be called the Mages timeline, but there are far more witches here. Featuring the delightful and badass witches of my growing years, and wizards too. Yes, Harry Potter is in here, but I assure you the characters have opinions about how Joann chose to record their world! And they're not flattering! Featuring the casts of Harry Potter, Bewitched, Sabrina the Teenage Witch (original sitcom), Charmed, the Worst Witch 2000s series, and Discworld, because Granny Weatherwax was not having with being left out of this! ("But she's dead!" you exclaim. Oh, didn't I tell you every timeline has dragon balls? Because every timeline has dragon balls.)

The Australian Fantasy Timeline: Featuring the characters from a bunch of Australian fantasy series I love! And yes, this includes Sevenwaters! It's actually an older concept I shelved when I thought I wouldn't be able to fit it anywhere, but now I can and I'm very happy! This timeline features the characters of Sevenwaters/Blackthorn and Grim/Warrior Bards, the Bitterbynde trilogy/Crowthistle Chronicles by Cecilia Dart-Thornton, the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix, Deltora Quest/Rowan of Rin by Emily Rodda (if I am able to read Three Doors and Star of Deltora, I'll put them here too), and a number of original characters/concepts from my fairy tale retelling series, as well as some from the Sisterlands/Ylona! (There, that's the difference. :D)

The ASOIAF Timeline: There are so many characters in ASOIAF that they needed a world to themselves. In this timeline, I just snag them from either where the series ended or the point of their first deaths, and give them therapy and Sisterlandic magic, and I may even keep the Empress away from them for a time. We'll see. :D :D :D

The Sci-fi Timeline: I saved this for last because this is actually the reason I'm making the post, but I'm going to save the details for its own post later. This version of Magina brings together several favourite Sci-fi franchises I love, and then throws the Empress at them, too. Featuring the casts of Star Treks TNG/Voyager/DS9/possibly Lower Decks, Stargate SG-1/Atlantis (Universe is being ignored), and Farscape.

I may have to make an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of some of this stuff because the timelines are all going to blur together in a mid-series thing we won't get to for quite a while.

I plan on writing oneshots/arcs set in these timelines, partly to explore them, partly to establish where the characters are/will be at the time of the blurring of the lines.

I'm particularly playing with the Sci-fi timeline right now, as I've been swept up by Star Trek fandom, particularly Deep Space 9, and have had some fun ideas for the Maginaverse regarding those characters. To post any of it now would mean some spoilers for the main timeline, but if others can talk me into doing it, I will. It's fun to write for them, anyways. :D

I'll make separate posts for each timeline at some point, and link them in the above list items, at which point I'll remove this paragraph, as it will no longer be necessary.

Sunshine; Do you prefer for things to be practical or aesthetically pleasing? I don't think that they're necessarily mutually exclusive - in some cases you may have to reduce one or the other but they don't have to be absent. I suppose for me the fact that I like straight lines, perfect spheres, symmetry, and simple combinations like black-and-white… it makes that easier on me than most people. I'm also not against the simple "pine" wood colour/effect so again… I mean a lot of things bother me a lot less than other people lol.

Starlight; What was your favourite show as a child? It's easier to tell you what I didn't like!

I grew up on a lot of sci-fi - Star Trek: TNG/DS9/Voyager, Stargate SG-1, Farscape, Space 1999, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, ReBoot. Like most kids around my age Digimon, Pokemon, and Sabrina The Teenage Witch ruled the TV. Over summer holidays I would watch as much of The Adventures of Tintin as I possibly could lol.

I loved Ghostwriter, but it was only on TV during the day as part of the BBC2 learning zone, so I didn't get to see the end of most of the storylines until a few years ago when I found it on YouTube XDD Same with the Look and Read stories! They'd start them in school and never finish them - so those finally got their conclusions some 25 years later thanks to YouTube again.

Things I loved but didn't get to see a lot of: Care Bears and Jem and the Holograms - my grandparents had cable but we didn't, so we got to see things here and there when we were over there.

TNG AU where some of the crew get really into Digimon and some get really into Pokemon.

Worf, Ro Laren, and Riker get into Digimon because they appreciate the first season's storyline and darker, edgier tone compared to Pokemon.

Troi prefers Digimon because she likes how each of the children has a moment where they cry during the first season and she thinks this promotes healthy responses to traumatic situations.

Picard prefers Pokemon because he likes that some Pokemon come from fossils.

Wesley and Beverly prefer Pokemon because they think it's more in line with the overall values of Starfleet.

O'Brien prefers Pokemon because he thinks he's had enough of war due to the Cardassian War (oh boy, just wait until he gets on DS9, amirite?).

Guinan prefers Pokemon because she likes how a lot of the girl player characters also wear hats, and also because it reminds her of the creatures she drew in crayon when she was a child.

LaForge and Data don't have a strong preference either way. Data justifies it because he thinks both showcase compelling aspects of human fiction, but LaForge thinks there's nice technical aspects to both.

Are you into any other fandoms? If so what are they?

I tend to jump into a fandom with both feet and just wallow in them one at a time, my current fixation being DBH, but I have dabbled in other fandoms in the past and am always a hair’s breadth from being dragged back into them. Among those being The Walking Dead, Kingdom Hearts, Jak and Daxter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Yugioh, and Digimon (just the first two series). I also enjoy most of the MCU.

I was also bred, born, and raised in Star Trek. It is a part of my being and my soul, and I cannot stress this enough...I LOVE STAR TREK. I’m not an expert on it by any means, and I wouldn’t say that I’m active in its fandoms at all, but I love, love, LOVE Star Trek. TNG/DS9/Voyager were my childhood. I am down to watch it any time, any place.

Munday post

I figured maybe this week I’d do a different type of Munday. Most of my long time roleplay partners already know me quite a bit and I also try to introduce myself to newer partners as well, however I figured this could be a good chance for everyone to really get to know me. I’m including everything under a read more not because long post and also because I know not everyone likes seeing this type of thing. It’s just a bunch of random facts about me and my favorite things along with a munday pic under the cut. I didn’t want to just throw out a munday picture like most would do. I’ve done that plenty of times before and there’s nothing wrong with it, I just felt like doing something a bit more unique and different this time that might really give people a chance to get to know me :D

So long post under the cut.

So, first off, my name is Derek. I’m the mun. I just recently turned 30 and I’m from Indiana. I work in a preschool, essentially as a glorified baby sitter. I help the teachers get their breaks.

I’ve been interacting on here since November of 2013 and I’ve had this exact blog with this exact URL the entire time. I wanted something really generic and not just a quote or something like that. I first tried TheEleventhDoctor, but obviously that was taken so this ended up being what I went with. As for the theme, it too was made a VERY long time ago. The TARDIS theme with the opening doors on the TARDIS actually used to be quite popular when I first started interacting on here, particularly with the Doctor Who RP fandom. Although I’m the only one I see with it these days, if you go looking for older Doctor Who blogs that have gone inactive you are actually likely to find a few other blogs with it. As for the background picture, I found that one myself except for the part with Matt Smith/The Eleventh Doctor edited on. That part was done by someone I used to interact with who just surprised me with it one day and unfortunately isn’t on Tumblr anymore :( Having been on this platform for so long I’ve obviously seen a lot of blogs come and go and I miss every single last one of them :( However I also enjoy everyone I currently interact with and would recommend almost any of them. Seriously, if anyone is looking for new people to interact with, let me know you are looking for people and what fandoms you enjoy and I can probably recommend a few blogs!

Outside of Tumblr RP, I enjoy video games, yugioh, reading comics, general super hero related stuff, watching movies, playing Pokemon Go (I help run the local PoGo community) general board games, watching my shows, figure collecting, and cosplay, most of which I’m sure is stuff many of you also enjoy. My fandoms include Doctor Who (obviously), DC, Star Wars, The Legend of Korra/ATLA (I’m one of the few that likes LoK more than ATLA), Marvel, Star Trek, Firefly, Power Rangers, The Walking Dead, Yugioh, Pokemon, Sherlock, general Nintendo fandom, Digimon and Harry Potter.

Here’s a few things about me in list form.

My favorite musician is Weird Al Yankovic.

My favorite book is Look Me in the Eye by John Elder Robbison. As someone who’s been diagnosed with aspergers syndrome myself, this book really spoke to me in my original read through and since then I’ve purchased it multiple times. I own at least three or four different copies of this book, partially because I kept loaning it out to people.

My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series. Don’t ask me for a favorite book in the series, I love them all about equally.

As for comics, right now my favorite thing I’m reading is the Power Rangers series that Boom is putting out. Some of my favorites of all time include Power Ranger Soul of the Dragon, the Star Trek TNG/Doctor Who crossover, the Power Rangers/Justice League Crossover, the original Spider-Gwen series, Poison Ivy Cycle of Life and Death, The Dark Knight Returns (I know anything Frank Miller related is a bit controversial but I enjoy it for what it is) and Batman: Hush.

Favorite movies include UHF, Scott Pilgrim VS the World, Captain America The Winter Soldier, Captain America the First Avenger, Avengers End Game, the Justice League movie, anything and everything DC animated, anything and everything Spider-Man related (yes, I even like Spider-Man 3 although it wasn’t as good as the others), anything Star Wars related although I’d say Force Awakens is my favorite one, the 2017 Power Rangers movie, Serenity, The Lego movie and it’s sequel, Yugioh Bonds Beyond Time, Mystery Men, Galaxy Quest, all the Star Trek movies, the corny 90′s Mario movie, the Doctor Who movie, and Detective Pikachu. Really, any of the Marvel and DC movies could probably make this list as well, I’m not super picky when it comes to movies.

Favorite TV shows is something I am a bit pickier about. Doctor Who is obviously on the list, and I’ve watched and enjoyed most of the Marvel and DC live action stuff although I have a huge preference for the arrowverse and 70′s Wonder Woman. Animated stuff tends to vary but a lot of the older stuff from the early and mid 90′s seems to be best for that. Power Rangers is obviously on the list as well, along with The Walking Dead, Digimon, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, Sherlock, Yugioh, Firefly, and off the top of my head that’s about it. Everyone always assumes I’m huge into anime as well, but I’m not actually that into it. Just not my thing.

Now video games has potential to be my longest list as it’s easily my favorite medium of story telling due to the interactivity. First off, Nintendo and Playstation are my general consoles of choice. Nothing against Xbox, I have a lot of respect for the brand but I can’t really afford to have three consoles (even though I wish I could) and Nintendo and Sony have more offerings for me personally. I also do dabble on PC a bit, but I don’t really have a high end PC and it’s mostly just for Sims. That being said, my favorite games and game series include Watch_Dogs, The Sims, Mario (mostly the “main series,” 3D games and 2D platformers but I do enjoy some of the off series stuff like Mario Kart and Mario Party as well) , Pokemon, Super Smash Brothers, The Force Unleashed series, Injustice, most of the Spider-Man games, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, most of the Batman games, Wario Ware, The Last of Us (still haven’t played the sequel yet. Waiting to get it for cheap after seeing reviews), Days Gone, Control, Horizon Zero Dawn, No Man’s Sky, 51 Worldwide Classics for Switch, No Man’s Sky, the Tony Hawk Games (still haven’t played the new one yet), Time Splitters, The Movies, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Zombies Ate My Neighbhors, Kirby, The Legend of Korra game (the 3d one, not the really bad one for 3DS), Donkey Kong, Street Fighter 2, Punch Out, Metal Gear Solid 5 the Phantom Pain, Sonic Heroes, and the list could go on and on.

My favorite drink is root beer or chocolate milkshakes if that counts

My favorite alcoholic drink is probably just a basic screwdriver tbh

My favorite food is Cheeseburgers, although Chicken Pot Pie is also a top contender tbh

My favorite color is green

My favorite Doctor is Eleventh obviously, but Thirteen, Two and Twelve are tied for second

Favorite companions are Amy, River (if she counts), and Donna

Favorite New Who episode is The Eleventh Hour

Favorite Classic Who story is Genesis of the Daleks

Since I’ve mentioned super heroes a lot, my favorites are Batman, Wonder Woman and Spider-Man, although Supergirl, Batgirl, Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Black Widow are also pretty high on the list.

Favorite game in the Pokemon series is X and Y

Dragonite is my favorite Pokemon

Favorite 3D Mario game is Odyssey although Sunshine would be next up on the list.

This is my only Tumblr RP blog. I also have an ask meme blog and I used to have a personal but I haven’t logged onto it in years.

I’m on discord and I do add people from Tumblr on there, but I mostly only use it for Pokemon Go tbh

I spend every Wednesday and Sunday at the local comic book shop playing Yugioh

For anyone wondering in relation to that last fact, my current competitive deck Barrier Stun. Some of my favorite casual decks that I play or have played in the past are Lightsworn, Blue-Eyes, E-Heroes, Greed, Sacred Beasts, Penguins and Six Samurai.

In the last decade I’ve moved about 3 times

I own pets! I have one dog and one cat currently, but a few years back when we lived in a more country like setting, we owned 7 cats and 2 dogs at maximum. Most of them died of old age over the last few years.

Before my current job I used to work at Walmart. Long time followers of the blog may remember that I hated it there.

I don’t have a whole lot of writing experience outside of Tumblr tbh. While I do enjoy writing on here, it’s the interactions itself that makes it fun for me and while I’ve tried to write a few things myself, it’s just not the same as roleplay.

Anyway, I just sort of wanted to do something different for munday besides just posting pictures of myself so I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it. Here’s a pic of the mun to go with it.

To Those Confused Why People Are Upset At Digimon Tri’s treatment of the 02 cast

Imagine if Star Trek: TOS got a sequel film and in that sequel film, they kill off the Next Generation five minutes in, then make literally no mention of them again as the TOS cast don’t even acknowledge their existence.

Then you have some asshole misanthropic ephebophilie posing as Locutus of Borg for absolutely no reason other than to give the fans of TNG the middle finger at thinking there’d be some semblance of telling us what happened to the TNG cast.

And while we’re at it, have some BDSM chick destroy the Enterprise-D and have everyone cheer about it.
