you know how in some cop shows if it goes on long enough they need to put one of the main characters in danger and one of the things that they come up with is "oh, let's just put the character in jail for a crime they didn't commit!" and they always show the prison as horrible full of horrible inmates and horrible guards and horrible conditions but literally every time another characters "look guys we need to trust the system everything will turn out okay" but every time that arc gets resolved by the characters very decidedly not abiding by the justice system and its clear that if the other characters did just let the system play out as intended an innocent person would be trapped in a horrible place, a jail, with no way out. and every time when the person comes out every one is like "oh it must have been so awful for you in there" and no one ever spares a thought for the people they spent like ten seasons throwing into what the past few episodes have shown to be an awful place where people get treated like animals. Because why would they? those people they caught very clearly did the thing so they deserve it, so yeah sure jail is awful and guards abuse their power and higher ranked criminals usually aren't all that bothered by a jail sentence anyway and even people that did minor things like maybe steal a watch are stuck here with the horrible people and also the other criminals that also tend to be horrible people, but
