like magic ✨
After trying several barrier/healing ointments + some home remedies, I decided to try Desitin. We had been using sudocrem around the stoma, which worked to combat the rashes, but on the bottom it didn't work very well. We tried hydrocortisone which also made things worse. We used mustard oil which controlled the rash for a few days and then it came back.
The skin was peeling and bleeding and I read rave reviews of desitin everywhere as if it were parents' first choice.
Desitin Maximum Strength contains 40% zinc oxide, which is the highest amount a diaper rash cream can contain.
The blue one is for daily use. Purple is for a severe rash that does not go away.
We massaged his butt with desitin after every diaper change and it really was wonderful and my baby no longer has a rash.

im new to wearing diapers have you ever had issues with rashes?
No.
Use baby powder regardless.
Change when wet when you want to.
Change when messy immediately.
I’ve never had issues with rashes at all.
Seen some posts about shaving down there. You don’t have to if you don’t want to. Just make sure you clean up properly.

You know, little bois, the only people on the planet not laughing their asses off at you are the other little bois and the women you've beaten to they point they physically can't call 911.
Maybe just go home and have your mommy powder that little hole where your penis is supposed to be. Diaper rash chafes.
Pathetic.

HEY I HAVE SMTH I WANNA SHARE WITH OTHER FAT PEOPLE OR PEOPLE WHO ARE GENERALLY PRONE TO SWEATING OR HIGH MOISTURE
I didn't know this until it happened to me BUT you can get a yeast infection like. Anywhere on the body.
I feel really embarrassed for not knowing this sooner but like. Diaper rashes? Oral thrush? Those are yeast infections!! I got mine in my armpits!!
The main way to tell is like. Yknow ringworm, another fungal infection? It's like that BUT it doesn't spread bc it's fucking yeast.
OTC anti fungal cream works!! You don't really gotta go to a doctor unless it's perpetual through treatment or keeps coming back but yk
I hope this helps at least someone. I genuinely didn't know yeast infections could happen outside of the vulva so I feel both embarrassing but glad to know.

So embarrassed 😳😣
Today wasn't one for the potty chart
Changed into padding at 3... Wet and in need of a change by 5:45.. changed by 6 into these kangsheng nappies found at active warehouse in Liverpool, (Sydney, not the UK)
Then in need of a change AGAIN by 9pm ... Changed at 10pm into a depends diaper
And then... I started wetting.. AGAIN before the clock hit 11.. and it would already be considered worthy of a change...
Not even an HOUR. And I'm already in need of a change.. but by then mommy was far too tired and in need of sleep so i left her place to go home...
And 2 hours of laundry and woodwork later... I'm still wetting it .....
...goodness gracious the patience of my CG to deal with such a handful...
And I think I badly need a shower for my poor skin...

Complete Guide on Diaper Rash: Symptoms, Causes, Prevention, and Treatment
Diaper rash is a common skin condition affecting babies, causing discomfort and irritation in the diaper area. It typically appears as red, inflamed skin and can range from mild to severe. Understanding the causes, symptoms, and treatments for diaper rash can help parents soothe their little ones quickly and effectively. In this guide, we’ll explore diaper rash symptoms, causes, prevention tips, and the best creams to treat it.
Symptoms of Diaper Rash
The most common symptoms of diaper rash include:
Red or inflamed skin in the diaper area (buttocks, thighs, and genitals).
Raised bumps or blisters.
Increased sensitivity and fussiness in babies, especially during diaper changes.
Peeling or scaly patches in severe cases.
Causes of Diaper Rash
Several factors can contribute to diaper rash, including:
Prolonged Exposure to Moisture: Wet diapers that stay in contact with your baby’s skin for too long can lead to irritation.
Friction: Tight or poorly fitted diapers can rub against the skin, causing irritation.
Allergic Reactions: Some babies may react to certain brands of diapers, wipes, or creams, leading to a rash.
Infections: Yeast or bacterial infections can cause or worsen diaper rash, especially in warm, moist environments.
Introducing New Foods: Solid foods or changes in a baby’s diet can alter stool composition, leading to increased irritation in the diaper area.
Prevention of Diaper Rash
Preventing diaper rash involves maintaining a clean, dry diaper area. Here are a few essential tips:
Frequent Diaper Changes: Change diapers as soon as they’re wet or soiled to reduce moisture exposure.
Gentle Cleaning: Use warm water and soft cloths or hypoallergenic wipes to clean your baby during diaper changes.
Allow Air Exposure: Let your baby go diaper-free for short periods to allow the skin to breathe.
Use Barrier Creams: Apply a diaper rash cream with zinc oxide regularly to create a protective barrier against moisture.
Best Diaper Rash Creams for Treatment
When diaper rash occurs, applying a high-quality diaper rash cream is essential for fast relief and healing. Here are some key features to consider when selecting the best diaper rash cream, along with recommendations based on its effectiveness in treating and preventing rashes.
Which is the Best Diaper Rash Cream?
The best creams for rash typically contain zinc oxide, a powerful skin protectant known for its effectiveness. This ingredient works by forming a barrier between your baby’s skin and moisture, helping to reduce irritation. Look for creams that prioritize zinc oxide as a primary ingredient, as this can make a significant difference in alleviating symptoms.
Diaper Rash Cream with Zinc Oxide
Creams that include zinc oxide are highly recommended for their soothing and protective properties. Zinc oxide helps prevent moisture from further aggravating the rash while promoting healing. When selecting a cream, always check for this key ingredient, as it plays a crucial role in the treatment of diaper rash.
Top-Rated Diaper Rash Cream
When researching top-rated diaper rash creams, consider the thickness and consistency of the product. A thicker cream often provides a more substantial barrier against moisture, enhancing its effectiveness in relieving diaper rash symptoms.
Best Cream for Diaper Rash
If you are looking for the best cream for diaper rash, consider one that combines zinc oxide with additional soothing ingredients like chamomile oil, soybean oil, and sunflower oil. These natural ingredients are known for their skin-soothing properties, which can promote faster healing of irritated skin.
Best Rash Cream for Prevention
For daily prevention of diaper rash, consider using a rash cream that provides a light protective layer without clogging pores. Creams crafted for prevention should be gentle and versatile, making them suitable for daily use to help keep the diaper area healthy and irritation-free.
Conclusion
Diaper rash is an uncomfortable but common issue for babies. Fortunately, using the right cream, especially one containing zinc oxide, can provide fast relief. By following the prevention tips mentioned above and choosing from the best diaper rash creams available, you can ensure your baby stays comfortable and rash-free.

What are the key benefits of using cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil and neem oil in this balm for treating insect bites and skin irritations?
In a world where synthetic ingredients dominate the skincare industry, there's a growing demand for natural remedies that harness the power of Mother Nature. Root and Soil's After Bite Coconut Balm is a shining example of how traditional ingredients like cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil and neem oil can work wonders for treating insect bites and skin irritations. In this blog, we'll explore the key benefits of these natural ingredients and why they are the secret weapons in Root and Soil's soothing balm.
The Healing Power of Cold-Pressed Sulfur-Free Coconut Oil
Cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil has been revered for centuries for its versatile healing properties. Unlike refined coconut oil, cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil retains its natural nutrients and antioxidants, making it an ideal choice for skin care.
Deep Moisturization: One of the key benefits of cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil is its ability to deeply moisturize the skin. Its rich emollient properties help to hydrate dry, irritated skin, leaving it soft and supple.
Soothing Relief: Cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil contains lauric acid, a fatty acid known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. When applied to insect bites and skin irritations, it helps to calm inflammation and reduce redness, providing instant relief.
Antimicrobial Protection: Coconut oil is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids like caprylic acid and capric acid, which have antimicrobial properties. When applied to insect bites, it creates a protective barrier that helps to prevent infection and promote healing.
Skin Barrier Repair: Insect bites and skin irritations can compromise the skin's natural barrier function. Cold-pressed sulfur-free coconut oil helps to repair and strengthen this barrier, restoring the skin's protective layer and preventing further damage.
The Potent Properties of Neem Oil: Neem oil, derived from the seeds of the neem tree, is a powerhouse of therapeutic compounds that have been used in traditional medicine for centuries. Here are the key benefits of neem oil for treating insect bites and skin irritations:
Anti-Inflammatory Action: Neem oil contains nimbidin and nimbin compounds, which exhibit strong anti-inflammatory properties. When applied to insect bites and skin inflammations, it helps to reduce swelling, redness, and discomfort.
Antimicrobial Protection: Neem oil is revered for its potent antimicrobial properties, making it effective against a wide range of bacteria and fungi. When applied to insect bites, it helps to prevent infection and promote faster healing.
Skin Soothing Benefits: Neem oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, which nourish and moisturize the skin. Its soothing properties help to alleviate itching and irritation caused by insect bites, providing much-needed relief.
Antioxidant Protection: Neem oil is packed with antioxidants like quercetin and beta-carotene, which help to protect the skin from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. This helps to promote overall skin health and vitality.
