I should be sleeping, but I'm not, so here's a thing based on a thing I just saw!
Pre ID reveal (I do a lot of these, but that's because the comedy is endless)
The JL and JLD especially, as well as all the protege teams treat the Bats with Fae or Vampire or Cryptid rules. The Batfam figured it out after the third time the others turned down the invite into Gotham, and they all started rolling with it. Nothing really comes of it, though, until someone does accept the invite to Gotham.
I'm thinking it's gotta be Clark, Diana, or Oliver. Clark could be there for an interview with Bruce Wayne (probably shortly after he buys The Daily Planet) and Tim Drake. Diana could be there for any number of reasons, but I think she's there for a new art exhibit that opened up in the Greek part of Gotham museum where she bumps into Damian Wayne and Dick Grayson. Oliver could be there on business, strictly speaking, but he hasn't talked to Bruce in person since just after their senior year of high school, so is it really a coincidence that he meets up with Bruce Wayne and Jason Todd (who was revealed to have been in witness protection for a time)?
Dealer's Choice on who's there. Could be one, could be all three. Could be someone else entirely! (Though, I can really only see Barry as having a good excuse of working with the GCPD on a case and meeting Dick that way if you really wanted to not use the other three)
Anyway. We're gonna use Clark here because he'd be extra cautious around magic, seeing as it's one of like...2 weaknesses he has.
Clark is sent to Gotham for an interview with the head of Wayne Enterprises. Ownership didn't change, but stuff got mixed up around last year, so he could either be meeting with Bruce Wayne or Time Drake-Wayne. Either way, Clark doesn't want to be here. Lois was supposed to be here, but she got sick, so he got stuck traveling across the harbour to the Crime Capitol of the Country.
He'd normally be ecstatic about potentially running into any of his JL coworkers in their natural habitat home cities, but Gotham was different. Batman, for all that he is Superman's best friend, doesn't let anyone into Gotham. There had been speculation for a while as to why that was, but no one had really been able to confirm it.
Kal-El didn't make it a habit, but he had, admittedly, tried to find out who Batman is under the cowl. He couldn't help it! He and Diana had told both each other and Batman who they were, but Bats had refused. He and Diana were understanding, of course, but that didn't stop the journalist side of him from slipping into the forefront of his mind.
At first, Kal thought he was sick. But he can't get sick. It's not like he could just ask B if his cowl was lined with lead or magic or kryptonite or something!
God, he hoped it was magic that was preventing Kal from seeing through Batman's cowl. It couldn't be kryptonite because Kal would've known it the second he got too close. Lead was the only thing he couldn't see through (that wasn't magic) but that brought up the issue of B's health how heavy the cowl was.
Magic, believe it or not, was the most logical explanation. Batman's cowl and cape are connected, so any magic on one would be on the other. With the way that Batman's cape seems to move on its own, somehow pull him deeper into shadows, and is able to hide at least four humans at any given moment, well, it's not a stretch to say magic was being used. Ignoring the fact that Batman hates magic.
That's a lie. He hates what he doesn't understand. And, try as he might, the man can't get a handle on magic.
Off topic.
Clark got off the train at exactly fifteen-hundred hours. Fourth-five minutes before he had to be at Wayne Tower (who named it that? surely not Mr. Wayne himself?) to meet whoever he was interviewing today.
Not knowing the layout of the city was what probably made Clark on obvious target. He should've memorized a map of the city before coming here.
He knows that there are three parties at work. Red Hood, who not even Batman pushes the boundaries of; Signal, who covers the entire city during the day; and Batman, Robin, Red Robin, Spoiler, Black Bat, and Oracle who cover the night shift. Sometimes, Nightwing joins them from Bludhaven, but that's only sometimes. It's safe to assume, though, that Red Hood and Nightwing are the two outliers. So long as Clark doesn't draw the attention of those two or Signal, he should be fine. A quick in and out and he'll be home free!
"Mister Kent?" the receptionist asks when he approaches her desk.
"Yes," he clears his throat, nervous for some reason he can't place, "That's me." What's wrong with him? It's just a routine interview! He's done hundreds like it before!
The receptionist smiles at him. "Misters Wayne are both waiting for you in Mister Wayne's office on the tenth floor."
He nods his thanks and goes to the elevator. Doesn't this building have like...thirty floors, though? Wouldn't the CEO's office be on the top floor?
Regardless, Clark uses the short elevator ride (complete with smooth jazz as the provided white noise) to calm himself down. He's met hundreds of big shots. Mister Wayne, whichever (or both?) he's meeting with today will be no different.
Maybe.
Probably.
Hopefully.
The elevator dings, the sound an odd harmony of several notes on the C Major scale instead of the single tone bell that is common through everywhere else. He gets off on the tenth floor and finds exactly four offices. He knocks on the door labeled 'Bruce Wayne'.
"Come in!" is called from inside, though the voice sounds too young to be Bruce.
Clark opens the door with an easy smile, taking in stride the fact that he is meeting with both Bruce and Tim Wayne. Oh, dear. "Good afternoon, Mister Wayne, Mister Drake-Wayne."
"Please," Mister Wayne has on the smile he always wears for the public. "Call me Bruce."
"And call me Tim," Tim shakes Clark's hand after he stands from his seat. The door clocks shut behind Clark.
Ah. Now he knows why he's so nervous. Batman usually only has bad things to say about Bruce Wayne. On the other hand, Tim Drake is a complete mystery to him.
Clark takes a seat on the couch opposite the two men when he's prompted. They go through pleasantries they all know are ingenuine before Clark opens up the notepad he brought with him. "Now, Mister Wayne, Mister Drake-Wayne, what made you decide to buy The Daily Planet?

spencer reid x fem! reader - all too well chapter II- i love you, i'm sorry
a/n: i literally had to rewrite all of this, so i'm weeks behind where i wanted to be because my laptop deleted this, and the next 2 chapters so i'm sorry it's so late
tw: bodily harm, gore, unrequited love etc.character death, train crashes.
when the train doors slam behind me, i know it's too late. i should've probably thought it through more than i did- but at least the slam was satisfying enough, bags in one hand with my favourite things. i've left everything i've ever known behind. 8-year-old me would've been upset, but now i'm sort of numb, like the way you just get used to cold ice cream on a hot day.
the sky, though, is gorgeous. perfect ambers and pinks, sinking down with the sun. if i could, i'd paint it.
the train is almost empty, and i sit down by myself, in one of the seats with a table so i can put my bags underneath, and my phone and water on the table. the scenery that's starting to flash by outside the huge window is stunning, and it's perfect for me to reminisce on everything that led up to my somewhat-running-away to start a new life, to get away from who i'd become.
when i was a little girl, people used to tell me i should be a lawyer. it was their own, politely masked way of saying i was rude, outspoken. i'd hated my loudness, and knew it wouldn't do me any favours. in the end, i suppose it did.
i met my ex-boyfreind, spencer reid, because i was shouting at a man on the train for my first day at work. he'd touched me inappropriately, and in my disgust, stress, and evident anger i'd yelled in his face. it was then that spencer stepped in, the doe-like brown eyes i'll never forget flickering with concern, and then disgust as they landed on the man i'd been confronting. his hand slid into mine, and it was clammy but somehow, for a stranger, oddly comforting. it was half-an-hour of awkward, polite conversation with spencer after he'd intervened, that made me realise he was going to be one of my new colleages.
it was half a week after that that he became my best freind. we'd done everything together- dr who conventions, nerdy as it seems- and we sat together on every flight to and from cases for work, and just enjoyed the freindship we had. he taught me chess, which i was awful at, and then every card game under the sun. it was a surprise, really, when it became my three year anniversary of working with him, and three years of him being my closest freind and supporter.
more unsurprisingly, we fell in love. it was just perfect, like the movies i would've watched as a teenager on my parent's old TV. coffee shop dates, pinkies interlinked, winter walks. kisses at work, kisses at home and under that big old oak in the town center. in short, everything was just as i'd hoped for all my life. i had a job which made a difference, and a boyfreind who was as kind as he was handsome. i met his mom, and he met mine- diana and i formed a bond, over laughing at his childhood pictures.
maybe i was naive to expect it to stay that way.
it'd been 4 months, of perfect, pure love. we sat on the bench, beneath the oak tree where we'd first kissed, where we'd talked about children and marriage and..other things. every 'thing' we could possibly think of. i hadn't really planned it, spencer'd always been more organised than me, but when i told him i loved him, i wished he'd said it back.
i knew, and still do, what spencer's been through. love has let him down, over and over, but i really thought that we were the greatest thing in each other's lives. 'i'm sorry' isn't exactly a typical response to your girlfreind saying she loves you.
the angry, disappointed little girl who just wanted love had taken over. we'd fought, of course, like any couple does, but it was worse. so much was said. too much, so much that i cried and yelled until my eyes and throat felt scarlet and he just.. blinked those big doe eyes, like i was being irrational, like i was the problem, and left.
left, like both of us had promised we never would. i ran, and i ran faster than i ever have. booked a train ticket, sold my flat. bought another one, upstate and hours away. resigned from the BAU, found another job as easily as that can happen.
i'm going to hate my new job. i know that already. tucked into my train seat, i sigh. the train is finally out of Quantico, and i feel the tenseness that has slipped through the cracks in my heart and into my bones slowly, slowly leaking away. i never really believed in heartbreak. maybe soul-break is the better term, because there's no part of me that doesn't feel utterly destroyed.
the train jolts, and the sip i'd been taking of my water splashes down my front. confused, i rise to my feet. a few minutes later, we're still stuck. i just want to leave. i follow the carriages to the engine-room, irritated. why can't anyone just help me escape? i hate it here.
there's a body, and it makes me jump. slumped on his side, blood pooling down his chest. the profiler in me knows it's been an efficient kill, by someone impatient and well-trained. a perfect slit through the carotid, and then, when i turn him over, fingers trembling, the human in me makes me gag.
his stomach is cut, wide and deep and enough to expose his stomach. suddenly, everything is too bright, too much. i can't even profile what the hell's going on, because there's a honking in my ears, loud and deep and irritating. i straighten up, and look out of the train window.
there's another train, coming right towards this one. i realise there's nothing i can do at the same time that i realise i'm going to die, and then there's the crash, and everything vanishes.

Okay I waited until you were done with WW87 to ask: please share your thoughts on Vanessa and the wild turns her story took? I’ve been really interested to hear your take as my dash’s premier DC Women Expert.
and GOD do i have thoughts on vanessa and the wild turns her story took!!!! i'm still sorting through them but MAN. it really just felt like they did NOT want to give her a break 😭😭😭
i really loved early vanessa's relationship with diana. i think one of the most striking things to me about perez's run was that he did really understand how to write a teenage girl who read like a teenage girl, and her preoccupation with things like comparing herself to her friends or struggling with school and juggling how it felt to be popular bc of her friendship with diana... it all struck a really nice contrast and balance to the supernatural and mythological and whatnot higher stakes stories going on with diana a lot of the time, and i thought the diana-julia-vanessa dynamic was overall really sweet. it's a little funny bc as i was reading, when i got to byrne's run i was actually like "i wonder if cassie and vanessa are ever going to meet, i bet they could have some fun interactions :)" and then. um. well.
overall i feel like silver swan vanessa was a) WHAT? and b) unfortunately rushed and never actually given space for the appropriate gravity and nuance it deserved. val's silver swan era got a lot better buildup and explanation than vanessa's imo. i think vanessa's silver swan era really suffered from having both major arcs with her coincide more or less with dc-wide crossover events starting up, first owaw and then identity crisis into omac stuff into infinite crisis.
because like - the shock of vanessa getting turned into the silver swan against her will could really have been something!!! however, pretty much all of it was offscreen and only really implicit. we see flashbacks and bits and pieces of ballesteros doing some insanely violating and horrifying shit to her, twice over even bc she gets kidnapped from the hospital and when she shows up again she's been horrifically altered with cybernetics grafted onto her body ? ? ?!? ?! ?!?! !! ! but at No Point in any of this do we actually get any more than a line or two about vanessa herself, how this happened to her, or how she's actually feeling under it all. i think that's partly because of the poor timing bc of the events, and partly also just her being used for shock value and more for diana's suffering (and to a lesser extent, julia's) instead of having her own consistent character arc.
i also think the fact that while brainwashed and tortured into being the silver swan, she did kill cassie's friend tammy, kind of got majorly glossed over, especially in her second appearance as the silver swan when people were going "she's a murderer????" and diana was like "well i'm granting her asylum anyways and taking care of her." like - don't get me wrong, i think that's very in character of diana, especially because she feels like she failed vanessa, but i think cassie in particular should've gotten to react to it more. i really liked the bit where cassie said to julia that if this worked out, she'd get her daughter back, but that tammy's mother would never get hers back. i wish cassie having those feelings got explored more - i didn't really like the parallel set up between vanessa vs cassie and ballesteros vs barbara minerva, re: themes of vengeance, because like... vanessa was a victim, but cassie shouldn't have to forgive her for killing her friend. these two concepts can coexist. (frankly, i would have LOVED an actual conversation between cassie and vanessa about this during/after vanessa's recovery.)
it's probably also due to timing stuff, but the plot threads with veronica cale being directly involved in torturing vanessa into the silver swan (and then threatening leslie about it) got Super dropped when identity crisis and the omacs stuff all started happening, and i think that's a shame because that plotline could've been the key to actually explaining what happened and why - it could've actually tied together the "vanessa got tormented by doctor psycho" and "vanessa ended up with ballesteros" bits because like. what. how. that feels like such a big deal to just leave to the background.
so i guess overall it's like... i don't hate it, i think it's a fascinating concept that has a lot of potential, but the execution was so rushed and so focused on diana and not on vanessa herself that it really just felt heavyhanded to me most of the time. (frankly i would also have loved to see val return as a civilian to confront and attempt to talk vanessa down, but that's probably also just personal taste.) i'm very curious what the original plans for her might've been before owaw and infinite crisis diverted them, though.

The Whispering Night review
Tumblr media
4/5 stars Recommended if you like: secret societies, monster hunters, urban fantasy, paranormal
The Luminaries review
The Hunting Moon review
Big thanks to Netgalley, Tor Teen, and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This one picks up shortly after The Hunting Moon. Winnie and her family are officially Luminaries again (though her mom isn't allowed to hunt yet) and all the Luminary doors are open to Winnie and Darian. Despite this success, Winnie is pretty focused on figuring out what the Whisperer is and how to stop it. Thus far, only a handful of people really believe her, including Erica and Jay, who focus much more prominently in this book than in the previous ones. With their secrets shared between them, Winnie, Jay, and Erica work hard to figure out what is going on in Hemlock Falls and put a stop to it before the Whisperer destroys everything.
There are a lot of pieces to the big mystery that's been building since book 1. The basic questions being: What is the Whisperer and how is it stopped? And, where did Winnie's dad go and is her really a witch? If he isn't, who was the Diana four years ago? I actually really enjoyed how these puzzles played out in the book and how interconnected seemingly unrelated things turned out to be. The plot was particularly strong when it came to these things and I liked the twists and turns that happened.
Winnie's focus on the big picture and figuring it out with Jay and Erica did have her leaving her new friends--Fatima, Bretta, and Emma--a little ignored. I liked the other trio and wish we'd seen more of them in this book. As it is, Winnie spent most of her time with her 'old' friends and less time with her new ones, something she is rightly called out on. At the same time, while Winnie has some pretty big responsibilities on her shoulders, in some ways she felt much younger than in previous books, more like a middle schooler than a high schooler. It's particularly obvious when she's acting younger than her age when the rest of her peers are acting their age or older, so it definitely felt like a disconnect.
Another issue I had was that, in the first two books, Winnie wanted so badly to be a Luminary again but was also able to recognize the flaws in their society. It did create a bit of cognitive dissonance for her, and her family when they see it too, but I actually really appreciated a character in a secret society/culture recognizing the issues associated with it instead of just readily defending it at all costs. However, that awareness and critical thinking was completely missing from this book, to the point where I stopped several times throughout and wondered where that Winnie had gone. And there were definitely things in this book that should've triggered those thoughts/reactions in Winnie and her family. I wanted to see more come out of it and perhaps a bigger conversation about the Luminaries' blind spots, so it was disappointing to see those topics completely ignored.
Something I did like was getting to know more about the world of the Luminaries. In this book, something called the Nightmare Masquerade is taking place. This event brings Luminaries from across the world together for fun times and to showcase the strengths and innovations of the different families. Through this we get exposure to branches of the family from around the world. We also get a closer look at the Dianas (partly through the Masquerade and partly through Diana characters that we meet and get to know). I liked learning more about the global Luminaries, but I especially liked getting a more nuanced view of the Dianas. There are definitely Dianas who are terrible and up to no good, but we also get exposure to Dianas who quit or who genuinely believe in a more balanced view of things, which I appreciated.
Overall I enjoyed this book. I think the big mystery/puzzle was definitely a highlight of the book, but that characterization fell a little flat in some places. I will say that I did think this was a trilogy, and the summary still says it's the finale in the trilogy, but the book had an open ending that makes me feel like there will be more books, so I don't know what to make of that. If it is a trilogy, I'd have preferred something a little more closed for the ending.

Ace/GN!reader
Angst, slight manipulation, cheating, established relationship, implied sex, GGG are a band au, small Gorillaz ref, hurt no comfort? Kinda
not edited nor proofread (sorry in advance)
Inspo taken from Dirty Diana this is not a songfic
I don't actually think Ace would do this but shhh
The city of Townsville. Your hometown, and birthplace of Green Death. a band that had just hit it big. Meaning the members had a newfound stardom to abuse— enjoy.
That being said, they were back in the city after their latest tour. Which meant you could finally spend quality time with your boyfriend, the bassist of the band. However he was nowhere to be seen.
He'd told you that he would make it back for dinner at seven. Of course you knew that really meant nine or so. But nine o'clock came and went. As the time crept to eleven you began to worry. You took to pacing in the living room, hoping for just a single call. One call and you would be okay.
Maybe you should ring his friends? You thought as you dragged your fingers down your arms.
Briiiing briiiing briiing. The telephone cried for your attention. Finally something. Fast as a fash you picked it up.
"Ace?" You asked hopefully.
"Yeah its me doll," Came his static-y reply.
Immediately relief flooded through your system.
"Look I'm sorry I ain't called no sooner but I got caught up in somethin' and you know how it goes"
Caught up in something? That had to be the lamest excuse he could've come up with.
"Whatever you say babe, when are you getting back home?" You twisted you fingers around the phone cord. At the moment youd been to relieved to give him hell for the worry.
"Ey I dunno, one?" He paused, "Maybe two."
Two in the morning? That was another four hours away!
"Leave the door unlocked will ya toots? I forgot my key."
"Don't bother, he won't be coming home tonight, because he's sleeping with me." A low sultry voice said before you could get a word in.
You were shocked into silence for a minute. Meanwhile silently Ace chastised whoever she was. To which she only laughed mockingly.
"Who the hell is that!?" You finally sputtered once you were composed again.
"Who her? No one forget it, listen I'll see ya sooner than you can say keep it green." His words came out fast and jumbled. Like a kid who was caught up after bedtime.
"Ace–"
"Love youse too, miss ya already. Bye."
With that the line went dead. And for a second you only stood there. Complete silence taking over the living room. It didn't last long before you slammed the phone into the receiver, over and over.
You were being cheated on. Again. You threw yourself onto the sofa. Hundreds of thoughts ran through your mind.
How could Ace do this to you? Who was she? Did he still love you? What would you say to him? Should you leave? How long has he been cheating again?
All the while a familiar burning filled your chest as the betrayal set in. Your thoughts all trickled into one. This relationship was over once and for all.
You could already see yourself packing your things. Being ready to walk out long before your ex came back. But you'd stay long enough to tell him you wouldn't change your mind.
The smallest of smiles crept onto your face. You'd never even have to see him after.
However your eyes started to droop. You sunk deeper into the couch. Exhaustion finally began to catch up to you. But that was fine, a quick nap would help you if anything.
Your thoughts slowed as you gave way to a deep sleep. It's not like you'd sleep too long on accident.
You blinked awake groggily, gentle rays of sunlight greeted you. After a few more minutes of enjoying the warmth of your bed you sat up. Rubbing away any remaining sleep in your eyes.
When you finally remembered that you'd fallen asleep on the couch with plans to leave early morning you deflated.
"Well ain't that a bitch" you sighed.
You should've known better than to think you'd actually wake up in time. Hastily you threw the covers back. Maybe your chance to leave dramatically fell through but that didn't mean you changed your mind.
Harshly you pulled the door open. But you faltered when you smelt something cooking. Ever so slowly you crept to the kitchen. Peaking in you saw Ace cooking, something he rarely did after setting fire to water one day. Yet there he was, wearing an apron and not ruining pans.
When he noticed you watching him his entire face lit up. He threw a top over whatever hed been making before pulling you into a tight hug. You didn't return it.
"Ace we need-"
"You know I'm sorry about last night," He cut in, loosening his grip to look at you "But it really wasn't my fault either!"
You deadpanned at him. Where did he even get the nerve to say that? Not his fault my ass.
But you humored the thought. "Why didn't I think of it like that?" You spat sarcastically "Please tell me how I can help you keep it in your pants!"
"Fer starters about next time I hit the town you come with me?" Sarcasm was ahead of him you supposed.
"I knew you'd see it my way doll." He left a light peck on your forehead and released you before you could get a word in.
You watched him walk back into the kitchen, slightly dumbfounded by what he said. It wasn't your fault was it? You followed him into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island while he kept cooking. Leaning your head against your hand you watched him work.
As your eyes followed him around the kitchen you realized he was making your favorites. Something he did when he was in trouble. It made you smile softly. Maybe you were overreacting. Ace was a good boyfriend. When he remembers to be at least.
But with the bands success you couldn't blame him for the thoughtlessness. Not entirely. Maybe you were overreacting. You just had to take his offer to go more places with him. Even if it meant obnoxiously large crowds of annoying people and a lot of parties.
He'd do the same for you. So you'd forgive him this time. Though the dull ache in your heart almost made you think twice. But it would get better, everything would be better than before.

Hello! How are you ? I wanted to ask you what is your interpretation of Tommy and Lizzie's relationship, in S5 and S6? I never saw love, from Tommy, but Lizzie's fans did, so what are your thoughts?
Thank you!
Hello, anon!
Firstly, I apologize for my late response. I'd hoped to reply sooner, but my phone almost died last week and I had to reset it to factory settings. I'm glad I had had the forethought to create my own cloud storage for photos, but unfortunately I hadn't done it for my text notes, so I lost them all. I found it out the next day and coped with it very badly tbh (crying was included). I have to re-write my latest notes now.
Back to your question. I'm surprised this is still relevant. 'Tommy and Lizzie' isn't my favourite paring of the show, as far as you know if you read my blog. So analysing them is my own sort of torture. S3 itself and Tommy's interactions with Lizzie are my pet peeve. I don't even know where I should begin. For a start, let me tell you about my favourite description of Lizzie which I read a long time ago but I still find it very accurate "the old girlfriend Tommy drunk dials when he's feeling lonely late at night" (x).
Tommy bends her over a desk sleeps with Lizzie because sex is his coping mechanism. This guy cries through his dick into Tatiana or Lizzie. He even declares she was saving his heart from breaking. Honestly, these words are like nails on a chalkboard. It's so disrespectful on so many levels. Firstly, to Grace. Oi, you moron, the love of your life died (because of you btw) few months ago, it usually causes heartbreak! Secondly, to Lizzie. You say you still pay her for sex and make it known in front of the entire family and therefore humiliate her.
There were no reasons for them to reunite in s4. It's been said, I see no logic in the narrative. Especially in Lizzie's actions.
They get married for two reasons: 1) Lizzie is pregnant, 2) it can be useful and very handy for Tommy's political career. He uses her, again. As benefit, he can shift the responsibility for raising Charlie to Lizzie, because he's fully aware of what a terrible father he really is. She's a useful decoration as a mother and wife. Lizzie knows his condition and wants to help him, but he doesn't let her in. There's a huge gap between them. In 5th season I didn't see any hints of love. It was mostly about his possessiveness ('he lays a fucking hand on you, he will be meat for Johnny Dogs') or his ego ('he spoke badly to my wife').
In s6 we see that they've become a more ordinary family. He works, she is being a mother. He keeps cheating on her. She accepts it. But here's more understanding between them and Ruby's disease brings them closer for a short time, but when she dies, Tommy has sex with Diana, Lizzie is humiliated in front of people (again), they become even more distant and Lizzie hits the bottom and leaves him.
Lizzie is in love with Tommy since s2. Tommy uses Lizzie since s1. I don't think he will ever be in love with her. But he grew to love her as a person, as a friend and this is a VERY big part of his development as a character. Because he never cared about any woman anyone who isn't related to him or who isn't Grace. He loves Lizzie, but not in a romantic way. Tommy always only used her for his own purposes and he never was kind or compassionate towards her, but in s6 he cares about her so that's why he says she doesn't deserve him and doesn't deserve to share his fate. That's why he tells Diana he isn't upset that Lizzie left him. Because he loves her and she is dear to him. He is deeply grateful for everything she's done for him and he defends her from Mosley's offensive comments even when Lizzie can't hear it. Don't get me wrong, anon, I don't justify his actions and his speech doesn't make him a saint. What he's done is beyond to be fixed and he should've thought of the consequences earlier.
I know this is a very sketchy analysis because I simply didn't want to go into depth. But I hope I managed to answer your questions.
thanks!

Mysterious New Member-Chapter 7
Diana held up the rear as they blasted through the sand, Vert in the lead. "So how does this work?" Her hands were gripping the wheel too tightly and she forced herself to relax.
"Simple. We go in, find the Chamber, blow it to kingdom come and then hightail it out of there. Hopefully before the Reds know we're there." He prepared to open the portal.
"And if they do?"
"Then get ready for a fight." He launched the Key from the Saber and they drove in one by one. They exited in a series of caverns, pitch black save for their lights. He frowned at the deja vu.
Spinner groaned. "Man, why can't the Reds ever put their Re-Spawn Chambers someplace nice? Why not a nice, relaxing beach or something?" He wasn't the only one who wasn't thrilled with the location. Dark, confined tunnels surrounded them and the Reds would know the lay of the land far better than they would. They could ambush them at any moment.
"Be on the lookout, guys," Vert advised. "We don't know where Krytus is."
"With any luck they won't know we're here and things'll be easy for a change," Zoom supplied, scanning every tunnel they passed for any sign of the RS5.
Sherman snorted. "Doubt it. They never make things easy. I've got the Chamber on my scanners, Vert." He was surprised at how easily it was picked up. He didn't think his scans would reach that far. It would take them some time to reach the chamber but the signal was good enough that he could trace which tunnels led to it.
"I have the location as well," Tezz chipped in. "It was not very difficult to find." It had lit up his scanners like a beacon.
"That's never a good sign." Vert's frown deepened. The situation felt wrong. "Buster, Splitwire, take the lead but be careful. I don't like this."
They spent several minutes winding through the tunnels, trying to keep North. Nothing had attacked them or even showed up on their screens. The peace was unsettling.
"This is weird. Is it always this calm?" Diana asked. She was eying every tunnel they passed, waiting for something to lunge.
"No, and I don't like it." Vert eased off the gas, the others following suit. "We should've at least seen some Zurk or something. I've got a bad feeling about this." He double checked his scans in case he missed something. The only blips were the others' cars and the rather obvious Re-Spawn Chamber. The rest was barren, though the signal wasn't stretching very far.
"You want me to scout out the area?" Zoom offered. They all rolled to a stop outside of a small cavern that housed the Chamber, the twisted leader symbol of the Reds marked on its front. Tunnels surrounded them from all sides, seemingly empty.
Vert considered his options. "No. If they really don't know we're here we shouldn't alert them. Let's just trash this thing and leave." He gripped the Saber's controls. Something just wasn't right. They should have run into the Reds by now.
"You don't have to tell me twice," said Spin as he loaded an explosive. "One roasted Re-Spawn Chamber comin' right up."
"Are you sure this isn't a trap?" Diana cut in. "I know this is my first day on the job and all, but this seems really bizarre. I've got a hunch this is nothing but a setup." She felt like there were several sets of eyes on her, watching, waiting to pounce. It was a horrid feeling.
"We do not have time for 'hunches.' We should destroy the Chamber before we lose the chance." All this talk of suspicion and feelings was beginning to grate his nerves.
"Diana's right, Tezz, this is all wrong. But there's no turning back now. Spinner."
"On it." He launched the bomb into the cavern but before it could hit its target a Zurk threw itself into the path, taking the shot. Krytus and Kytren then rolled out, followed by Kyrosis and Krylox from the rear tunnels. Red Sark flanked them.
"So, you thought you'd destroy my Re-Spawn Chamber, humans? Get them!" Krytus charged with his Reds and Sark, forcing the team to retreat.
BF5 fought their way through the oncoming Sark and were driving back the way they came when Kyburi dropped from the ceiling and landed on Whiplash.
"So, Battle Force 5 has a new member?" she hissed, preparing to smash a wheel into the engine.
"Yeah. And she doesn't appreciate you wrecking her paint job." Diana's thumb flicked the trigger for her weapons and two guns sprouted from the hood, aiming themselves at the Red. She fired and was gleefully surprised at their power. The blast left the alien tumbling in her rearview. "Awesome," she chuckled. "Energy blasts make enemies go flying. Hey!" She was thrown in her seat when Krylox rammed her and sent her careening into a wall.
"You're not the only one who sends things flying, human."
Up ahead, Vert was going head-to-head with Krytus. Their blades clashed and sparks flew. The Reds must've been cloaking themselves. He grit his teeth, furious he'd fallen for such a thing. He shoved the Saber to the side again and growled when Krytus pulled back and caused him to strike the wall.
The lack of space wasn't working in his favor. The Red moved to his left and a Sark rammed him from behind, making him serve. "BF5! Head back to the Earth portal!"
"Easier said than done, Vert!" Spinner tried to line up a decent shot on some Zurk but a flash of orange caught his attention. "Lookout, bro!"
Sherman yanked the controls and forced the tank left, narrowly dodging Kyrosis' flames. The side of the Buster scraped the wall. "There's too many! We don't have the room to put up a good fight." Most of the tunnels were wide enough for maybe two-and-a-half cars, at best. Some were narrow. There wasn't anywhere near enough room for a power struggle.
He smashed the accelerator and rammed into a few Zurk while Spinner launched a bomb at a group who had tried to surprise them from the side.
Zoom was farther ahead, though still behind the rest of the team, preoccupied with Kytren. The two scouts battled it out, though Kytren tried to use the Sark to his advantage by sending them in from different angles, hoping they'd trip him up.
Zoom got fed up with it and aimed a kick at the Red's face, hitting him by the eye. He yanked the throttle while he was distracted, cut off a wheel from the Zenther in front of them and watched the wreckage lodge itself into Kytren's vehicle.
The Red lost control and was thrown into the air, screaming, before he hit a wall so hard his shell shattered.
"One down, four to go," Zoom said, speeding off.
Tezz's electromagnetism kept the Sark at bay, through it didn't do much against Krylox, who was steadfastly approaching. While the scientist was busy fending off Zenthers the Red made an attempt to ram him.
Diana came up from the side last second and slammed her car into his, sending them both to the left. Krylox's front end hit the wall while Diana stopped short. She eyed the debris that fell from the ceiling and clattered against his tank.
She grinned and activated her turrets, aiming at the stalactites. Whips formed, made out of bright blue energy, and sliced through the formations, sending the stone daggers right through his windshield. There was a flash of light and the massive tank dissipated, leaving a wispy ball of red-orange energy to trail away through the caverns.
"Nice one, Diana," Zoom said as he rocketed by.
She reversed and drove off after him. "Thanks. Oh, and you're welcome by the way," she added as she caught back up with Tezz.
He grunted.
"Vert! How do we get outta here?" As exciting as this all was, she was feeling rather shell-shocked from the ordeal. She just wanted to be back in reality again.
"Just follow the Buster," he ordered over the radio, flinging the Saber into Krytus. The Red pushed him back, trying to force him into the wall.
Sherman wasn't too far behind Vert but couldn't catch up to help due to Kyrosis' meddling. He was firing flames left, right and center, and it was taking all his focus just to avoid them.
Spinner loaded in another bomb and had a clean shot on the Red when Kyburi swerved in front of the Buster from one of the side tunnels.
Sherman slammed the brakes just as he fired, causing the explosive to rocket past Kyrosis and blast a crater right in front of Diana.
"Hey!" she said, throwing the car to the side and feeling the suspension bounce as the right tires ran over the hole. "We're on the same side, remember?"
"Sorry about that." Spinner switched tactics and tried firing maces at the Red, growling when he dodged them.
Tezz zoomed in and launched an EMP at him, sending him flipping into a wall, front end in the dirt.
Spinner was going to thank the scientist when he felt the Buster buckle as Kyburi latched onto it and began siphoning its energy. The vehicle came to a rapid stop.
"You're finished, human." She laughed when their headlights began to flicker.
Diana rolled to a stop. "Tezz, Zoom, how about you guys help Vert? I'll take care of this one."
The scout pulled up alongside her. "You sure? Kyburi's pretty tough."
"I got this." She had a score to settle. She watched Zoom shrug and speed off, Tezz in tow. Her hand gripped the shifter. "Can you guys still lower your ramp?"
"Just barely," Spinner said, hitting the switch.
Diana slammed the gas and sent Whiplash rocketing into Kyburi, gritting her teeth at the impact.
The Red was thrown off of the Buster and landed upside down, wheels askew. She growled in anger and tried to right herself.
"Thanks, Diana," Spinner said, sending a bomb into the wall nearest to Kyburi. Rubble collapsed onto her vehicle and trapped her. "Now, let's get out of here before we get into even more trouble." The Buster would need a good recharge after this, but it was still drive-able.
They drove off, leaving a furious Kyburi in their wake.
Krytus slammed into Vert so hard he lost control and ran into stalagmites, causing his front end to be pushed off the ground. Getting back down would be a cinch if the Red weren't pinning him. He grit his teeth and wrapped his fingers around the hilt of his sword. He wasn't going down that easy.
Krytus stood out of the cockpit and formed his blade, sick glee in his eyes. "This is where you die, human." He got closer and brought his arm back, preparing to stab him through his own windshield.
Vert felt his lips pull into an almost smirk as he got ready to open the glass and take a swing at the Red.
An EMP whizzed past Krytus' face, causing him to lean back and fall into his seat. He snarled as he maneuvered around Zoom, frustrated by the intervention. "This isn't over, human," he said, looking back at Vert. "Next time, you won't be so lucky-Ahhh!"
Before he knew what was happening, Spinner had latched onto him with a mace and spun him around once before letting go, sending him tumbling into the distance.
"Just for good measure," he said as he watched Krytus bounce away. "Can we please go home now?"
"Gladly." Vert reversed out of the rocks and led the way farther down the tunnel, only opening the portal once he felt they were safe. He felt himself relax as he landed back in Handler's Corners. The mission wasn't just a failure, but an absolute mess. He was still disgruntled by the fact he'd fallen for such a stupid trap and had led his team right into danger.
"Well," Diana began, a little breathless, "that was something." She tapped her fingers against the wheel.
"Tell me about it. The next time Sage sends us on mission to take out a Re-Spawn Chamber, it had better be somewhere peaceful." Spinner sagged into his seat, feeling the adrenaline leave his body. "Still, I think we did pretty darn good. Especially you, Diana, takin' down Kyburi like that."
"And Krylox," Zoom added.
"How was it?" Sherman asked, hoping the girl wasn't too spooked. Fighting the Reds head-on for your first mission was a little extreme, but she seemed to hold up just fine.
Diana let out an awkward chuckle. She still wasn't used to the idea of aliens and the sudden praise made her uncomfortable. She swallowed the tightness in her throat. "Honestly? It wasn't so bad. I think I could use a break though." And several years of time to reassess everything. She eagerly followed the others back to base, her thoughts drowning out their congratulations. She didn't notice Tezz's silence.
Upon their return, Sage drifted over for an update. "Did you destroy the Re-Spawn Chamber?" she asked, hopeful.
"Unfortunately, no," said Zoom as he hopped off his bike. "We got close but it turned out to be a trap. Krytus ambushed us."
"We will just have to be more prepared next time," she said. She frowned at Tezz's scoff.
"Perhaps if we had not wasted so much time hesitating," he said, agitated, "we would have succeeded."
"Hold up, Tezz, it wasn't all for nothing." Vert strode over to Diana. "I'd say she did a pretty awesome job, all things considered. She took out Krylox and did quite the number on Kyburi." He was worried she'd be bad at fighting and make the kinds of mistakes that Stanford used to, but was shocked to see just how capable she was. For a newbie, she was pretty devastating in a battle.
"Yeah. She even saved you," Zoom added, pointing a finger at Tezz.
"I did not require her assistance."
Diana frowned, irritated. "If it weren't for me, you would've needed somebody to haul you out on a stretcher," she countered. She watched him huff. "Alright, fine. Next time I'll leave you to it." She crossed her arms.
The others frowned at Tezz's attitude and Agura stepped in. "Y'know, genius, it wouldn't hurt to say 'thank you' once in a while."
He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Thank you for 'saving me.'" He turned and strode off to his lab.
"Did he make that stick up his ass or did someone put it there?" Diana asked in the silence.
Vert, despite himself, let out a chuckle with the others. "Nah, he's just..."
"Anti-social?"
"Uppity?"
"Rude?"
"...Like that," Vert finished, shooting looks at his team.
"Still, I can't believe you took out Krylox on your first mission," AJ said as he walked over. "That's awesome." He was going to give her a slap on the back before opting for a less painful high five.
Diana blushed at the praise. "It really isn't a big deal." She wasn't accustomed to being in the limelight, least of all by people she hardly knew.
"Not a big deal?" Stanford said, incredulous. "I say we go to Zeke's and celebrate." Everyone agreed.
"Well, I mean... I guess."
"Oh, you'll love it," Spinner said with a grin. "There may not be much to this town but Zeke's makes it so worth it. He's got the best pizza." He was already going back to the Buster.
They all got in their cars and drove to the diner, chattering along the way. Diana found herself falling into the team's rhythm, despite her initial discomfort at being the center of attention. It wasn't so bad, now that she was learning how things worked. Maybe she would be able to open up to them a little more.

Madeleine loved the new mansion. It was beautiful and open with huge windows allowing much natural light to flow in.
However, moving was still a hassle. Moving through mazes of boxes, and creating the ever-growing towers of packaging material.
However the worst of it all:
The heaters weren't installed yet.
"Mom! Have you seen my purple sweater?"
Madeleine called out, digging through a box of her clothes.
"I think it got mixed up with my clothes, check our room." Her mother called back.
Madeleine shivered a little as she hurried into her parents' room, where her father was unpacking a box full of small decorations and framed photographs, each delicately wrapped in newspapers.
There was a half-unpacked box of her mother's clothes in the closet which she almost immediately tracked down her favorite sweater.
She pulled it over her head slipped it on.
Warm and soft as always.
"Much better." She sighed.
She turned and caught a glimpse of her father carry a box out the door.
She had to get back to unpacking her room as well.
But, as she crossed to the door, something caught her eye.
A photo frame, with a childish drawing inside. A simple crayon drawing of her family.
She made this drawing as a gift to her parents when she was five, and she couldn't believe the good condition it was still in.
She stared at it for a moment, only half noticing her mother walk in.
"Darling, did you- Oh, good, he found it!" She said, noticing the drawing.
"Mom..." Madeleine began, "You don't have to keep this, you know."
"I know, but I love this picture," she replied with a laugh, "Does it embarrass you?"
"No, no, of course not. It's just..."
She pointed at the bright colors and silly, smiling faces.
"Is this really us? Was this ever really us?" She almost said, "Or is it who I wanted us to be." But decided to keep that thought to herself.
"Darling..." Diana said with a sympathetic look, "A lot has happened in the past few years, I know. But this drawing, this is how you saw us. The world through a child's eyes is beautiful, and you may have grown, but I still see that positive imagination in you."
She placed her hand on her daughter's shoulder, "If you really want us to take it down, we will. But I still love this photo."
Madeleine felt her vision blur. She used to never cry, but now tears flooded her eyes almost every day.
"S-sorry..." She mumbled, wiping her eyes.
Diana pulled her close, "You have nothing to apologize for, dear."
"I love you, Mom, keep the picture up."
"I will, I love you too."

I feel like Diana ought to have more presence in WMMAP. For someone who Claude loved (no comments on whether she loved Claude because that's a whole nother ballpark), Lily was mesmerized by, and was/is Athy's mother she's achingly... absent. For the record I love characters that haunt the narrative. They may be long dead but their actions or their deaths themselves impact characters in the present in a meaningful way. Diana should've haunted the narrative more, in my opinion. And Athy should've been impacted so much more by her, even if just through Lily (no idea why Lily was singing praises about Claude when it was ultimately Diana who she was so awed by). So yeah this has turned into rambling I'm so sorry
No, exactly! Ghost-Halucination Diana was nice, but she was so important to so many people and… god, the scene where Athy meets Diana’s spirit feels almost… lackluster? Because we’ve seen Athy’s journey. She knows Diana is her mom, but she has never really thought of Diana her whole life except for the once in a while, “Oh dad is depressed because of what happened to mom” before moving on with her life. Diana could have been a GREAT way for her and Claude to bond even more (which would honestly make me like his character more). After he accepts Athy’s existence as his own, him talking and rambling about Diana with Felix pitching in and bubbly talking about her to his annoyance would have been so nice? It would have helped Claude move on so much too, talking to their daughter about what they both lost but also realizing that it isn’t the end. Lily and Claude could have also interacted! Silently acknowledging how mesmerizing Diana was while reminiscing.
In general, we should have also known about other aspects of the past that deeply affected everyone. Penelope for gods sakes, how is it that we’ve only had like three appearances of her?! She was such a detrimental character for both Claude, Felix, and Ana. I also want to know about Roger’s wife!!! What happened to her? Did she just die at some point after Ijekiel went to Arlanta? Is she actually just alive within the manor while her husband was being possessed by a dead vengeful spirit??? Give me the Alpheus Milfffff. Show who taught Ijekiel and Jennette their gentleness and kindness!
And the Ruby Palace Comcubines! Why were they done so dirty, that was like at least fifteen women just killed?!?! For no reason?!?! And nobody cares?!?! And I won’t even begin with the trauma Lily should have! She witnessed the massacre, she should have been terrified of Claude and so so sooo protective mama mode of Athy whenever in Claude’s presence! (I can’t even begin with the trauma Athy should have had retained from her second life too. Why is trauma only relevant when the plot needs it? So far, trauma wise, Jen has been the only consistent character because Claude seems to only be depressed on and off with anger issues in between, Lucas SHOULD have fears of abandonment similar to Jen seeing as his father figure essentially offed himself in front of him, and back to Lily for praising Claude to infant Athy but never talking once about the love of her life Diana??? Blasphemy, blasphemy I say!).
I love WMMAP, I really do, but god. Give events and characters weight. Don’t just say they were important, show they were important even if they’re long dead! Imagine. Imagine how much more emotional Athy and Diana’s meeting would have been if Athy saw how her guardians bonded and lovingly talked about the goofy, affectionate, sometimes scary mother she never met was. We were so robbed of all of these characters.

Okay These are my thoughts about ep5. Very loosely formed, and though I've discussed most of these with @nofckingfighting i can elaborate more on some parts but bleh, i'll do it if i'm really absolutely restless about not explaining enough.
Really enjoyed the opening scene in Chinatown and all. Kinda very-tommy-ish about how he handled the bomb. Also "By Order of the"..what??? Sounds funny af lololol.
"And new wounds you can open up" yeah lizzie, he did that, didn't he? (keeping aside the thoughts part, he looked beautiful in the garrison meeting scene. very gorgeous. Ada reaction was pretty much my own reaction to a lot of things this episode.
"Shelby breakfast" they actually do read all the comedy shit we write on here, don't they?
Duke stealing Arthur's watch. "You come from a long line of thieves" yup. I actually liked Tommy and Duke's interaction at the boatyard. Though the entire "Duke of saxton whatever thingie" was funny but Tommy actually looked quite fascinated about duke wanting to wander in the hills. It's like he sees a part of himself in him. And duke doesn't like the dark part of the business and he was very vocal about it, thank the gods he's not another psycho who wants to blow up the well with white bricks lol. (again, tommy looked DASHING in this scene. Absolutely gorgeous) But my brain was like- "Run away from him, Duke. ffs just run away. don't stay"
Tommy Linda Interaction **chef's kiss** Also, Linda's outfit slayed.
"And you will do God's work", "God is interested in you as well, Tommy" okayyy talk about THAT
"He may not need to take many steps" listen, tommy drops very clear hints when he knows he'll end up dying, okay? like he did in s2. Wanting ada to post that letter, and yet NO ONE has the decency to find out what's going on with him or care about him enough to just push him to tell them what he's going through. Like- please just use whatever resources and atleast try to find out what's wrong and why he does that?
The way he says "God Bless" shear mockery in his voice. He's a little bitch, i love it
I do have thoughts about what he did in the Hayden Stagg scene but idc enough about it right now to talk
KISS YOUR LOVELY WIFE ON THE LIPS, TOMMY. (sorry if this gives you a weird image but both. the ones attached to her head will do though)
That I love you was so dead, maybe it sounded like that only to me idk. YES pin him down, Lizzie. He's yours. I have more thoughts but i'll maybe make a separate pst for tommy lizzie
Legit loved the air around Jack Nelson this episode. Finally, some movement, some danger, some dyamics in his character. It was very flat to me till now but the billy grade scene with him was great, imo
He looked cute and tiny while dressing up in that large shirt though. And Lizzie coming from the back and putting the tie on him, beautiful <3 Legit enjoyed it. Should've choked him with that tbh.
Tommy you fucking bastard. Fuck you for fucking that fascist bitch. Yeah well it's clear and i do understand that he didn't want to but he didn't have to tbh. What purpose did it solve? I think he saw it coming that she will use it against him, only after he was done with it. Post-nut clarity, I believe. He did fuck her, whether or not he wanted to and it has pissed me off. I know we all saw it coming but just- yuck. She treats him like a toy and it's Disgusting.
Lizzie, my beautiful Lizzie, I feel so deeply for you after the dinner scene. I do. So much that idk how to write it here
Well, Tommy stooped too low and he finally admitted that he doesn't deserve Lizzie. I have contradictory thoughts on how this can work out in the last episode and i'll make a seperate post for it
but, Lizzie legit looked scared when Nelson said Michael will be there with Tommy. And when Tommy said he's going to Canada. The woman just wants to get away from all this, ffs either make the conditions better or let her leave :'((
i hate sk for the diana tommy thing a nd i'll never forgive him for that. never.
The soundtrack was okay okay, not very peaky except One Silver Dollar and the song that played while tommy was going to chinatown.
Tommy was BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS in the entire episode!!!! TWO SEX SCENES CJHBRHBFVU3FVUEBCIWNCWNO!! I only liked the first one, though.

Batman's Little Sister.
Series: DC Universe: Wonder Woman
Pairing: Diana Prince x Reader
Summary: Y/N Wayne, well-known in the industry for holding numerous fundraisers dedicated to charities and art preservation, caught the attention of Diana Prince. After a mission, Bruce receives news from Alfred that an invitation had been mailed to the princess of Themyscira from his very own sister.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I'd like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you who share the same passion as I, thank you for continuing to trust this campaign and I hope everyone in this room tonight will have—or continue having—a wonderful evening. Thank you again."
The room erupted in applause, smiles directed to the woman whom raised her glass of champagne with a grin plastered on her lips. She then descended from the stage and was instantly approached by a few men in suits, congratulating her and exchanging shy laughter with; completely unaware of a woman in the sparkling white long and fitted gown who observed her from afar, a little smile on her lips as she watched the girl talk animatedly with the men about how the passion came to when she was at the ripe age of nine.
Ofcourse, Diana can clearly hear you (because unbeknownst to you, and to the many she's Wonder Woman) she revelled in the pitch of your voice and how easy it was for you to communicate what you felt about helping these certain causes. On paper, there were some nasty articles about how you've taken the charity/fundraiser routes as to somehow outwit you older brother, it was nothing but a game between the two Wayne siblings on who's better in the eyes of Gotham; sadly enough because you were younger, and a woman, the articles picked on these traits as a form of inferiority between you and Bruce.
Diana couldn't understand it, here you were standing yet only a few feet away from her and you were so radiant, so undeniably pure as if there would never be anything that can knock you off of your feet because your love is endless; she couldn't understand why these people underestimate your capabilities, and paint you as some sort of villain whilst you stand next to Bruce who loved you to the very ends of the world as well.
She couldn't understand why anyone would ever want to bring shame upon your name when all you ever did was live such a normal, mundane life without trampling over anyone; she knows this because she feels it. You weren't like the many, corrupted by greed and undeniably high ideals.
But instead, you are Y/N Wayne; the youngest of the two remaining children of Martha and Thomas Wayne. The woman who calls Bruce in the middle of a Justice League meeting to ask him when he'd finally be home so that you can cook dinner for him and Alfred because you miss them, the woman who never understood why her brother was never home but doesn't pry about it because she trusts him like she trusts herself.
Batman's little sister, even if she never really knew about it.
Diana could see how much at peace you were living compared to Bruce whom set out his entire life into fighting crime to somehow avenge your parents, she could see how Bruce was doing it for the both of you, and you lived a life the way your parents would've wanted for you two. She couldn't help but be drawn to these thoughts of your decision, how this was the first time she saw you in person yet she already feels as if she'd known you since you were children.
And then your eyes connected.
You were frozen on your spot, it was as if your eyes set on the most beautiful piece of art in the museum but this one particular piece was breathing, it was alive and it offered you a warm smile. You probably looked stupid, with your mouth slightly agape as you inhaled sharply at the sight of her but before you could even return a small smile, a man blocked you from being able to further connect with the woman. You'd know the back of that head like the back of your own palm, that was your brother whom was having a word with her.
Diana Prince, she actually showed.
"Miss Wayne? Would you like more champagne?" the voice of one of the men snapped you back into your little circle of business transactions, you smiled at him and nodded before he ushered one of the waiters to pour you another glass.
If you were about to be introduced with the woman of your dreams, you'd need more than just a glass of champagne to keep you from becoming a stuttering mess.
"I see you did get the invitation." Diana's smile faltered as Bruce blocked her vision of you. Staring each other down for a few seconds, Diana shrugged before finally smiling up at Bruce.
"I don't see why I shouldn't attend."
"She doesn't know anything about us, Diana. What we do, she knows completely nothing—" Bruce furrowed his brows as Diana let out a short laugh.
"I know, and I have no intention of bringing her into it. Always so uptight Bruce, you should learn to relax, live a little," Diana straightened the shoulder pads of Bruce's tuxedo with a grin playing on her lips, contrasting to Bruce's worried look, "your sister merely wants me as an investor, nothing more. And if she insists on more.." the Amazon's grin stretched up into a bashful smile which made Bruce grab ahold of her wrist, eyeing her down as she looked up at him in amusement.
"Don't play coy with me princess, if she even gets the slightest hint of what we are and what we do I swear to your gods—"
"You know, flirting with my potential investor is one thing, but convincing her to invest in your own side of the business should've been held under your own gala, brother." Bruce withdrawn his hand from Diana's wrist, you happened to not have heard nor seen any of the rising tension between the two as they bantered about you. Diana grinned at Bruce as he gritted his teeth before stepping to the side and facing you with a soft smile.
No matter how angry Bruce gets, you always were in touch with his soft side.
"Haven't considered that maybe I was convincing her to invest to yours?" you titled your head at his statement, which Diana found completely adorable.
"Sounds to me that you've already been acquainted?" Bruce noticed the slight change in your tone, he knew you well enough to know what was running through your head and it pained him to see how you subconsciously took a slight step back as if doubting the situation at hand. And by situation, the possibility that Diana was one of Bruce's many hookups and the only reason as to why she's here is to get back at him.
"He visited The Lourve for quite some time, not our favorite guest in full honesty." Diana intervened, feeling how your radiant aura slightly dimmed. You looked at her with a small smile, nodding before inhaling sharply and composing yourself to handle the potential investor professionally.
Even if it pained you to think that yes, yet another woman who wants to be in the arms of your own brother.
"Well then Bruce, if you don't mind?" Bruce looked at the two of you before shrugging and sipping on his champagne, standing there waiting for you two to start talking. Diana could only contain her annoyance to his protective presence but looking at you made her feel less annoyed.
The Amazon felt as if no time would be wasted as long as it'd be spent drowning in the warmth of your eyes.
"Formally introducing myself this time, as if the bantering between my brother and I never happened," you offered a hand to Diana who instantly took it in hers in a firm grip, which took you aback for a second before you composed yourself with the award-winning smile on numerous magazine covers, "Y/N Wayne, pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"Diana Prince, and trust me Miss Wayne—the pleasure is all mine." you hated how her voice almost sounded velvety against the chattering of the guests in the museum, and how soft her hands were, her grip still firm yet seemingly familiarizing the warmth you were currently offering.
This woman, if she were to get back at your brother by enchanting you—she's already doing one hell of a job.
"Would you like a tour around the museum, Miss Prince?"
Time had never flown by as quickly as it did spent with Diana Prince, she was everything a simple woman of an artistic eye like you could ever wish to become; two peas in a pod, you'd talk about a certain piece and Diana would indulge you in information you were sure you'd never even heard of about it. She was this enigma of surprises, it was as if you'd find something about her whilst she shared her personal experiences amongst the artistic world, then you'd find out something completely different about her that had you reeling for more.
You hated it, if ever this woman was actually here simply walking next to you and knocking you off your feet just to get back at your brother—
"I'd like to negotiate the investment." you tore your eyes off of the large painting in one of the many exclusive, executives only areas of the museum; your eyes set on the woman that stood rather closely next to you even though you were the only ones in the spacious room. She was staring rather intensely at you, as if she always had been even though just a few moments ago you were laughing at a certain piece that you had a slip of misinformation from that she corrected.
But all good things must come to an end, don't they? Whether it was being with practically the most beautiful woman on Earth that slightly towered over you, for a moment it felt as if she was there just to solely be with you but then it always had to be about Bruce.
"Okay." Diana raised her brow at the sudden change of tone, your eyes tore themselves away from hers and instead it casted on nothing in particular. The Amazon eyed you down, waiting for something else to come out of your precious mouth because you always seemed to have managed to keep a professional composure.
"Your current campaign, the preservation of this evenings pieces, the upcoming ones, and what you'll be deciding to do next.." your brows furrowed at her words, this wasn't how it usually went with Bruce's women; it usually ended up with them investing a certain amount to only the current campaign, followed by them trying to seduce you into bringing them to the Wayne manor—somewhat getting a reaction from Bruce once he sees them in his house the next morning—then that was it, it never went beyond that.
"..I think you have a great vision, Miss Wayne. I'd be honored if you'd let me support that."
Did I just.. caught the attention of Diana Prince?
"Vision..?" Diana eyed you in worry, you looked as if you were about to pass out right infront of her. She instantly reached over to grab your empty glass of champagne, a hand softly placed on your arm as she set your glass on top of the glass compartment.
"Yes? Are you alright, Miss Wayne?" you let out a short, breathless laugh.
"Jesus Christ, if you're going to stick around alot after this you'll have to get used to calling me 'Y/N'." Diana's lips pulled up into a grin that made your heart flutter.
And ofcourse, Diana could hear ever single beat.
"I'd like that, Y/N." you shook your head, trying to push away the thought of how angelic your name sounded from her lips. Finally composing yourself, you ran your fingers through your hair as you stared across the room, unaware of how Diana slowly eyed you down from head to toe after the action.
"If you're planning on doing more, then this talk alone won't suffice. We need documents, and lawyers, consultants—"
"Y/N," you looked at Diana and her eyes looked into yours softly, soft enough to almost make you die inside, "one step at a time."
"Okay." Diana reached over to place her hands on your cheeks, you were frozen on your spot as she smiled rather lovingly at you, which oddly enough even if the conversation was about her investing to your campaign—it felt more than that.
It was almost as if it was a marriage proposal.
A promise of something greater than a simple investment.
"But first, I'd like to hear you say my name; please say my name, Y/N." Diana's eyes scanned your entranced eyes, just as you looked deeply into hers.
A promise of forever.
"Diana."
Tumblr media
This is my first ever Y/N published fic. Just recently, I got into reading comics and I chose to head first into the DC universe because I've always been curious about it. I had fun writing this and hopefully, those who'll read this would find it entertaining to say the least.
Anyways, I'll be making more of these once creativity pushes me again. God, I love Diana Prince so much right now it's insane.
Laters for now,
RANIMA.

Note
"Well, it is my assignment, so I thought I should," Maryan replied, trying desperately not to cringe as this snowballed out of control.
Diana was surprised to see Aubrey calling already. Did they decide to have that meeting anyway? "If this is about Cait, it's been decided, Aubrey, and I'm really done talking about it."
Tumblr media
"Assignment or not, this is not how I should've found out. This should have been a conversation before it became reality." She retorted before disappearing into the next room.
As Diana picked up and assumed it was about Cait, she corrected her. "Well so am I because that's not what this is about. This is about Maryan and the fact that you decided you were going to put my coven under a microscope without even bothering to consult me about it first. These are my witches, they're under my leadership and I am responsible for them. If you had concerns about power balance with any of them, I should have been the first the know and instead I had to hear it from her. I'm not unreasonable, we could have worked together to figure it out and I could have put your mind at ease because I keep a close eye on them." She took a breath. "We worked together through all this. I would think you'd have just a little more respect me for than that."
