End of the Decade Favorite Book Tag
I was tagged by @aliteraryprincess. Thank you :)
Most of my reading in the past decade happened in the last three years, and some of my most favourite book are not included here because I read them pre-2010. I also tried not to repeat the title, even if some fitted more than one answer :)
1. Fantasy books that are obsession worthy The Winter of the Witch trilogy by Katherine Arden! Laini Taylor books. Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik.
2. Urban fantasy books filled with people you want as friends The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern (is that what you call urban fantasy?). Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton. (same question)
3. Portal fantasy you fall in love with multiple times I am not even sure I read one.... this past decade.
4. Novellas or story collections worth reading The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter. Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys.
5. Historical fiction that transports you to a different time The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber.  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer.
6. Favorite fairytale/mythology retellings Wildwood Dancing by Julier Marillier.  Circe by Madeline Miller. The Song of Achilles by the same author.
7. Sad, sad, sad Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. Mary's Monster by Lita Judge. The Book of Strange New Things by Michel Faber. Deathless by Catherine M. Valente.
8. No, I’m not to old for kids’ books, what are you talking about??? The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. The Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.
9. Happy, happy, happy The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee. My Lady Jane and My Plain Jane by a bunch of people.
10. Whoa, never expected that ending and to have that much fun!!! The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.
11. Like I’m scared, but I’m happy about it The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. House of Glass by Susan Fletcher. The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell.
12. Classically favorite Villette by Charlotte Brontë. The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë. Jamaica Inn by Daphne du Maurier. The Star Rover by Jack London.
13. Party in your ears Absolutely no idea what this means in regards to books.
14. OTP <3 <3 <3 Zuzana and Mik from The Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Molly and Roger from Wives and Daughters.
15. Oh wow, that’s me!! Felicity from the Montague Siblings Series.
16. A bit of nonfiction The Brontës by Juliet Barker. Chernobyl Prayer by Svetlana Alexievich. The Whisperers by Orlando Figes.  SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome by Mary Beard. Pavlovsk: Life of a Russian Palace by Suzanne Massie.
17. A book you got from Tumblr and now you can’t stop thinking about Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. The Secret History by Donna Tart.
18. A book you had high expectations for and then the author OVER delivered The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. Once Upon a River by Dianne Setterfield.
