Whether you're planning a Bali tour or seeking unique experiences beyond the mainstream, these off-the-beaten-path destinations offer a glimpse into the island's authentic charm. Additionally, for those interested in experiencing the vibrant side of the island, exploring the Nightlife in Bali provides unforgettable evenings amidst serene settings and local flair.

Unlike the bustling towns in southern Bali, Munduk offers a peaceful escape where visitors can embark on scenic hikes, visit traditional Balinese villages, and enjoy the cool, fresh air. Don’t miss the chance to explore the Munduk Waterfall and the nearby Twin Lakes, Tamblingan and Buyan, which provide stunning views and opportunities for kayaking and swimming.
2. Nusa Penida’s Secret Beaches
While Nusa Penida has gained popularity in recent years, several of its beaches remain relatively untouched. Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach, accessible via adventurous hikes or boat rides, showcase dramatic cliffs, pristine sands, and crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling and diving. These secluded spots offer a sense of solitude and natural beauty, far from the crowded tourist areas.
3. Sidemen Valley: Bali’s Countryside Beauty
For those yearning to experience Bali’s rural landscape, Sidemen Valley is a must-visit. This picturesque region is dotted with terraced rice paddies, traditional Balinese homes, and ancient temples. Visitors can take leisurely walks through the rice fields, participate in local farming activities, or simply relax and soak in the serene environment. The valley also serves as a gateway to Mount Agung, Bali’s highest peak, making it ideal for trekkers seeking adventure.
4. Amed: The Diver’s Paradise
Amed, located on Bali’s eastern coast, is a hidden gem for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. The area boasts vibrant coral reefs, shipwrecks, and diverse marine life, making it a haven for underwater exploration. Unlike the more crowded diving spots in southern Bali, Amed offers a more laid-back atmosphere with affordable accommodation options and local seafood restaurants, providing an authentic experience for visitors.
5. Jatiluwih Rice Terraces: A UNESCO Treasure
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are a stunning example of Bali’s traditional irrigation system, known as subak. Spanning over 600 hectares, these terraces offer breathtaking panoramic views and are perfect for hiking and photography. Exploring Jatiluwih allows visitors to appreciate the intricate beauty of Bali’s agricultural heritage and enjoy the peaceful ambiance away from the tourist trail.
6. Menjangan Island: A Hidden Marine Sanctuary
Located in the northwest of Bali, Menjangan Island is part of the Bali Barat National Park and is renowned for its exceptional snorkeling and diving spots. The island’s pristine coral reefs, diverse marine species, and crystal-clear waters make it a top destination for underwater enthusiasts. Additionally, Menjangan offers lush hiking trails and secluded beaches, providing a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
7. Balangan Beach: A Quiet Coastal Haven
Tucked away on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, Balangan Beach is a serene stretch of golden sand bordered by dramatic cliffs and rolling hills. Unlike its neighboring beaches, Balangan remains relatively quiet, offering a peaceful retreat for sunbathing, surfing, and enjoying stunning sunsets. The beach is also home to cozy cafes and bars, where visitors can unwind and savor local delicacies in a laid-back setting.
8. Sidemen Market: Immerse Yourself in Local Culture
For a taste of authentic Balinese life, a visit to Sidemen Market is essential. This traditional market, held weekly, showcases a variety of local produce, handcrafted goods, and vibrant textiles. Exploring the market provides insights into the island’s rich cultural heritage and offers opportunities to purchase unique souvenirs directly from local artisans.
9. Tegalalang Green Canyon: Nature’s Masterpiece
Located near Ubud, Tegalalang Green Canyon is a breathtaking natural attraction characterized by its emerald-green river, towering limestone cliffs, and lush vegetation. Visitors can engage in activities such as river tubing, bamboo rafting, and cliff jumping, all while surrounded by stunning scenery. The Green Canyon offers a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty, making it a must-visit for nature lovers.
10. Exploring the Nightlife in Bali’s Hidden Spots
While Bali is famous for its vibrant nightlife, venturing beyond the popular clubs and bars can lead to discovering unique evening experiences. Hidden beach bars, intimate lounges, and traditional Balinese performances offer a different perspective on Nightlife in Bali. Places like La Brisa in Canggu, with its bohemian ambiance and ocean views, or the tranquil beachfront cafes in Sanur, provide memorable nights under the stars. Additionally, attending local night markets or cultural shows can enrich your Bali tour with authentic nighttime activities.
Conclusion

Where to take the best shots for Instagram in Bali?
Bali is one of the most Instagrammable destinations on Earth. Even if you haven’t set foot on the island, you’ve likely seen its iconic landmarks: lush green rice terraces, split gates, majestic views of Mount Agung, and swings soaring above the jungle. For bloggers and photography enthusiasts, Bali is a true paradise. These places, beautifully crafted by nature and enhanced by human touch, are not only the most photographed but also the most visited. You simply can’t miss them!
Rice Terraces
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e28a50ef80e4738b7f63e020d8a2e174/d2927da2a65fc7e3-e7/s540x810/f5f6b75fbaebc0e502d550d4d95c3c7b1e783cdc.jpg)
The most impressive rice terraces are found at Tegallalang, just a 20-minute drive from Ubud, and Jatiluwih in Tabanan.
These rice plantations stretch across hillsides in giant steps, creating breathtaking scenery. Some terraces are over 1,000 years old and still serve their original purpose. Depending on the season, their appearance changes. When the rice is newly planted, the terraces fill with water, resembling thousands of mirrors—a spectacular sight! Equally stunning are the lush green terraces when the rice is mature. You can stroll along the pathways that weave through the terraces, and it's best to visit in the morning or near sunset when the sun is softer.
Jungle Swings
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/082d499fc3d379323de2e3180150f448/d2927da2a65fc7e3-62/s540x810/4debbbf756dc4a04d221393d8ea04a1a6026d0bb.jpg)
Bali is known for its jungle swings, which can be found over rivers, waterfalls, and rice terraces across the island. These swings offer a unique way to experience Bali’s stunning landscapes, capture picturesque photos in flowing dresses, and enjoy a thrilling rush of adrenaline. Many swings are surrounded by Instagram-worthy structures like bird nests and hearts, adding extra charm to your shots.
Split Gates (Candi Bentar)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b94142ec5e470802e12cf6c5aceeafa5/d2927da2a65fc7e3-a8/s540x810/db70a0600bfe8ca235b82750b19d36df0a634b8e.jpg)
A symbol of Bali, split gates are found everywhere, but the most famous are at Pura Lempuyang, one of Bali's oldest and most significant temples. The "Gates of Heaven" photo spot has become a global sensation, attracting hundreds of tourists daily. The skillful photography techniques used here create the illusion of floating in the sky. On clear days, Mount Agung provides a breathtaking backdrop. Arrive early in the morning for the best conditions. Pura Lempuyang is a complex of seven temples located at various levels, and reaching the main sanctuary requires climbing 1,500 steps. Are you up for the challenge?
Another iconic gate is located at the Handara Golf Resort in northern Bali, framed by lush green hills.
Waterfalls
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/830c32d0c67d7f54ce5ea27529ae7e90/d2927da2a65fc7e3-3a/s540x810/04d57ed39bb7e2128caac2002ea92aec102d1a99.jpg)
Bali's waterfalls are an Instagram sensation, each offering its own breathtaking beauty. For dramatic photos of water cascading down black stone steps, visit Kanto Lampo waterfall. If you’re after an Avatar-like experience, head to Sekumpul, the highest waterfall on the island. For more tranquil shots, Tibumana waterfall features a perfectly smooth flow of water into a blue pool—a perfectionist’s dream!
With so many unique waterfalls scattered across the island, it's worth dedicating a day to exploring them. Be prepared to get wet! Our website offers waterfall tours organized by region, making it easy to find the most scenic spots.
Volcanoes
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/24e1f3b6a65e1b98357e0cc4677cd933/d2927da2a65fc7e3-7d/s540x810/fd991bca7ec18f504a47c4b8416d534fe3765fd6.jpg)
Volcanoes not only make for otherworldly photos but also create memories that last a lifetime! The most Instagrammable volcano—Mount Ijen—is actually on the neighboring island of Java. At dawn, you’ll witness a surreal scene: Martian-like landscapes, plumes of smoke rising from the crater, yellow sulfur deposits, and the star of the show—a glowing blue acid lake. Put on a respirator and snap a post-apocalyptic photo by a dried-up tree, with the toxic lake as your backdrop.
Nusa Penida
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bb195351a813292adc0112b19882cf3b/d2927da2a65fc7e3-6b/s540x810/693da78424404a81873d842ac5ce9b65022b96f1.jpg)
Just off the coast of Bali, Nusa Penida is a small island that’s a favorite among bloggers for its stunning turquoise waters and hidden beaches.
Diamond Beach, one of the most Instagrammable beaches in the region, requires descending a steep staircase carved into the rock. The beauty starts as soon as you begin your descent, offering perfect spots for a striking photoshoot.
Another must-see is Kelingking Beach, home to the famous T-Rex-shaped cliff. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can tackle the challenging hike down to the secret beach at the bottom. The trek is steep and involves climbing down the cliffside, but the reward is a peaceful stretch of white sand nestled between towering cliffs. Though swimming is not recommended due to the powerful waves, lounging under the shade and taking in the views is a well-deserved treat after the climb.
Broken Beach
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/025e697b3e381c3c6808fa97d6cb235b/d2927da2a65fc7e3-ca/s540x810/ab52a04aa7d397cbb8827df647cea1ccfe0c49b3.jpg)
At Broken Beach, waves crash through a natural archway carved into the cliffs. While swimming isn’t possible here, the view is simply spectacular, making it a prime location for photos.
Keep in mind that Nusa Penida lacks public transportation, so renting a scooter or a car with a driver is essential. Alternatively, you can book a tour that covers all the main attractions. We offer both one-day tours and longer stays, allowing you to explore every corner of this exotic island at your own pace.

Bali and its surroundings are made for Instagram, drawing bloggers from all over the world. In addition to its natural beauty, the island offers countless Instagram-worthy villas, cafés, and beach clubs. Come to Bali and embrace your inner aesthete!

4. Seminyak: The Trendy Retreat

The area's vibrant food scene includes world-class restaurants, beachfront cafes, and lively bars. Seminyak Beach is ideal for sunbathing and surfing, with a more laid-back atmosphere compared to Kuta. Art lovers will appreciate the numerous galleries showcasing contemporary Balinese art, while fashion enthusiasts can indulge in boutique shopping along Jalan Kayu Aya. As night falls, Seminyak's beach clubs, such as Ku De Ta and Potato Head, offer the perfect setting for a sunset cocktail.
5. Tanah Lot: A Spiritual Landmark

Esam atklājuši jaunu augli- atemoya, jeb čiekuriņš kā mēs to saucam. Ļoti salds un gards.
!!! Populārākais auglis Bali ir durians. Tas tiek dēvēts par augļu karali. Šo noteikti faktu neapšaubām no savs puses, jo pat, ja apkārt nebūs neviena cita augļa, durians noteikti vienmēr būs nopērkams!
