Top Left: Known across the galaxy as “La Capitana”, champion matador of Deçir, Lux Alkkaçar travels through space, participating in the most prestigious bullfighting tournaments in order to bring her dying planet fame and fortune.

Top Right: A mysterious figure of the Old West, known only as El Bandolero Del Diablo, otherwise known as The Devil’s Highwayman, to most, but to a select few is known as Alé. Legend says that El Bandolero was sent by the Devil to collect on unpaid debts, explaining El Bandalero’s unnaturally fast and accurate gunplay. However, behind the mystery, the bandana, and the revolver, El Demonio has a secret not even the legend could predict. El Demonio is a woman.

Bottom: Abi Spalding is your average recent 1984 Merlin’s Creek High School graduate. She sunbathes on the bank of her local creek, she has an obsession with Cameo, and she spends her free time pitching fastballs to her best friends Riko and Lou. And two weeks ago, her father went missing. When a series of increasingly strange events lead her and her friends to discover that the new Sheriff and his deputies aren’t what they seem to be, the three girls must save Merlin’s Creek, Abi’s dad, and themselves from the Sheriff’s grasp. And they have to do it from Merlin’s Creek, ca. 1954.

Tell me more… about the fucked up mental illness bastards…. (if you would like…..)

Oh boy well, there are many fucked up bastards to talk about…

For starters, none of them started morally fucked, they were all born just as a half gem, half mortal kid. It was all external factors that made them they way they are now.

Some of them had bad childhoods (the one with half his face burned off, wonder how that happened) and some were raised purely as soldiers, never taught any lessons of peace or love or pacifism. (Top right) And others were taken away from home before they could even know what it looked like, in favor of being taught to be a tyrant. (Bottom center)

But others have more free will in their choice, it’s that the choices they were given and their perspective was what was altered by external forces. This leads them to more or less choosing to do the morally wrong thing in the name of a good sounding cause like true freedom or eternal love (first and middle of third row)

I’ve got all sorts of separate stuff about all these bastards, including details on a merged timeline universe where I decide it’s better for everyone if all of these guys are together in one world (spoiler alert: ITS NOT)

But there’s so much about these guys to talk about, it’d require a master-post or perhaps one post dedicated to one bastard. But I’m eager to explain, prior to now this world was just between me and my best friend who listens with a troubled expression as I talk about these bastards.

In Dreams - a Lucifer fanfic

Lucifer stumbled back. “You’re not real”, he whispered.

Pierce sighed.  “No, unfortunately not.  You saw to you that.  I’m nothing but a dream now”.  He eyed the liquid dripping from the piano.  “And a wet one at that, judging from the mess you’ve made.”

Set in Season 4, between 4x07 ‘Devil is As Devil Does’ and 4x08 ‘Super Bad Boyfriend’.

In which Lucifer has a dream, and Pierce stops by for a chat.

It was dark when Lucifer awoke, or at least as dark as it ever gets in LA.  The light from the LUX sign shone through the windows and illuminated Eve, deep in sleep and smiling contentedly.  Lucifer brushed a stray strand of hair off her face and tucked it behind her ear, before rising from the bed and padding across the penthouse to the bar.  After some deliberation he settled on a particularly fine whiskey and began to prepare his drink.

“Bit early isn’t it, even for you?”

Lucifer almost dropped the glass he was holding.  He fumbled and caught it at the last second, but not in time to stop the contents from flying across the bar and spraying over the piano.  He blinked rapidly as a figure emerged from the shadows and walked slowly towards him.

“Or maybe that should be a bit late?  I’m not sure anymore, to be honest.  That’s one of the first things you lose in the afterlife; a sense of time.”  The figure reached the bar and leaned over the counter with a smirk.  “But I suppose you’d know all about that.”

Lucifer stumbled back. “You’re not real”, he whispered.

Pierce sighed.  “No, unfortunately not.  You saw to you that.  I’m nothing but a dream now”.  He eyed the liquid dripping from the piano.  “And a wet one at that, judging from the mess you’ve made.”

“Right, well, horrible to see you.  Let’s never do this again.”  Lucifer put his glass down on the bar then turned and began to walk across the room.

“Where are you going?” asked Pierce.

“Back to sleep.”

“You’re already asleep.”

Lucifer sighed in exasperation.  “Well, then I’m going back to bed to wake up.”

“Can’t wake up until the dream is over.  You’ve got to let it run its course.”

Lucifer paused on the threshold of the bedroom and turned to face the other man.  “What do you suggest I do then, Lieutenant?”

“How about a drink?”, asked Pierce.  He refilled Lucifer’s glass without waiting for an answer before pouring one for himself. “We can catch up, reminisce about old times.”

Lucifer scowled and stalked back to the bar.  “This dream version of you is much chattier than the real thing.  Hell would have frozen over before the actual Pierce ever asked me to sit down to talk.”

“And has it?”

“Has what?”

“Has Hell ever frozen over? I know it’s an expression, but has it ever actually happened?”

“Once, but only because I had to torture someone with a fear of icicles.”  Lucifer waved a hand dismissively and took a long sip of his drink. “But we’re getting off topic.  Why are you really here?”

Pierce shrugged. “It’s your dream, Lucifer.  Maybe you just miss me.”

Lucifer laughed. “You’re a psychotic killer who murdered my friend and put the Detective’s life in danger.  Why would I miss you?”

“You once told me that I may be the only person on the planet who truly understands you, and that you weren’t ready to give up on that.  Maybe you’re still not ready.”  Pierce topped up their glasses and moved a little nearer to Lucifer. “And anyway, are you really any better than me?  Just think of all the things you done recently: getting back with Eve, breaking a man’s back, embracing your dark side.”

Lucifer shifted uncomfortably, suddenly aware of just how close he and Pierce were standing. “Eve is a good person, and we only broke Julian’s back because he needed to be punished for what he did to Officer Joan.”

Pierce rolled his eyes. “Please.  Eve is my mother.  Where do you think I got my homicidal tendencies from?  The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree; you should really know that, given your history with both trees and apples.  And I know you enjoyed what you did to Julian; I know the rush you got from it, the pleasure.”

“But I’m not a murderer”, Lucifer protested.

“Apart from me.  And Uriel, of course.”

“Those were exceptions. I could have killed Tierning, but I didn’t.  I did the right thing and turned him over to the police.”  Lucifer swallowed thickly and emptied his glass.  “I’m not evil”, he said quietly.

Pierce rolled his eyes. “Of course you’re evil; you’re the literal Devil.  Evil is in your name, and in your nature.  Why else would your wings have changed like they have?  You’re finally starting to embrace the real you.” Pierce closed the last of the space between them so their chests were flush against each other and cupped Lucifer’s face in his hand.  “Come on”, he purred, wrapping his other hand around Lucifer’s waist.  “Stop fighting it.  Just give in to temptation.  It’s so easy.”

“I can’t”, Lucifer murmured, trying to move away.  But Pierce’s grip was too strong, and his body was too inviting and Lucifer couldn’t help but lean into his touch.

“Of course you can”, Pierce whispered softly.  “Let me show you how.”

Before Lucifer could protest again Pierce’s lips were on his, and Lucifer found that he couldn’t resist any longer.  He deepened the kiss and ground their hips together, earning a lustful growl from Pierce. They staggered across the room until they hit the edge of a sofa; Pierce lowered Lucifer down onto the cushions and began sucking a love bite into Lucifer’s neck, while Lucifer himself wrapped his legs around Pierce’s hips and began unbuttoning his shirt.  

Resistance was futile, and Lucifer found that he didn’t care anymore.  He wanted nothing more than to lose himself in this moment, to fuck Pierce until the pain and doubt and guilt went away and he felt nothing except a pleasant numbness.  He didn’t care about the consequences; he didn’t care, he didn’t care, he didn’t ca-

 Lucifer awoke with a jolt. Bright sunlight streamed through the windows and he raised a hand to shield his eyes from the glare.  He heard a noise from doorway and looked up to see Eve, wearing one of his shirts and munching on cereal from a bowl cradled in her hands.

“You OK?”, she asked, coming over to sit on the bed.  “You’ve slept for ages, but I didn’t want to wake you as you looked so peaceful.  Were you having a good dream?”

Lucifer blinked the sleep from his eyes and shook his head groggily.  “More like a nightmare actually.”

Eve raised an eyebrow. “Well, it must have been a sexy nightmare.”  She looked down pointedly at his erection.

“Right, yes, well, it’s a bit complicated, to be honest.”

Eve shrugged. “OK.  Oh, I’ve cleaned up the piano.  It was covered in whiskey, for some reason.”

Lucifer felt a cold chill run down his spine.  “What?”

“The piano; it had alcohol all over it.  And I cleared away the empty glasses on the bar.  Did someone come over last night, while I was sleeping?”

Lucifer jumped out of bed and stumbled into the living room.  He crossed to the sofa and felt his legs give way beneath him as he tried to process what he was seeing.  There was an indentation on the couch cushions, as if two bodies had recently been pressed down into it.

“It can’t be”, Lucifer whispered shakily.  He staggered over to his phone and scrolled rapidly through the contacts until he got to Doctor Ahn.  He needed to get his wings fixed, before he had any more dreams like that.  

Because it had just been a dream.

There was also the problem of the two men, who were clearly attracted to each other, alone in a motel room for a full week. It was an accident waiting to happen. The puzzle was, neither knew who was manipulating who, if it was all a ploy or real emotions were coming out to play. The only thing both men recognized was something real was happening. And they were running out of time.

The angel fits all the characteristics of being a ghost—EMF readings, see-through body, air chilling ability, and all. A local man is found with his eyes burned out like he was the victim of a smiting keeps them in town after salting and burning the angel’s buried vessel in hopes of dispelling his ghost.

Litigation against Caravaggio Baglione's best known painting, Sacred Love and Profane Love (or The Divine Eros Defeats the Earthly Eros and other variants), was a direct response to Caravaggio's Amor Vincit Omnia (1601–02). Baglione's painting exists in two versions, the earlier in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin (c. 1602–03) and the later in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica at Palazzo Barberini in Rome. Both show Sacred Love as an angelic winged figure interrupting a 'meeting' between Cupid (Profane Love), shown as in the Caravaggio as a smaller and naked winged figure, and the Devil. In the later Rome version the devil is portrayed with the caricatured features of Caravaggio, while in Berlin his face is turned away. Both paintings were commissioned by members of the Giustiniani family in Rome: the Caravaggio by the banker and collector Marchese Vincenzo Giustiniani, and Baglione's riposte by his brother Cardinal Benedetto Giustiniani. What in the two brothers was probably a good-natured family joke reflected serious rivalry between the artists concerned. Baglione was greatly influenced by the style of Caravaggio during this period of his career, and the younger artist and his circle had claimed, with some justification, that Baglione had plagiarized his style.[12]

In late August 1603 Baglione filed a suit for libel against Caravaggio, Orazio Gentileschi, Ottavio Leoni, and Filipo Trisegni in connection with some unflattering poems circulated around Rome over the preceding summer, which he appears to have been correct in attributing to Caravaggio's circle. Baglione had recently completed his large altarpiece of the Resurrection of Jesusfor Il Gesu, the main church of the Jesuit Order (it was much later replaced), and claimed that Caravaggio was jealous of this important commission. Caravaggio's testimony during the trial as recorded in court documents is one of the few documented records of his thoughts about art and his contemporaries. It included statements that: "I don't know any painter who thinks Giovanni Baglione is a good painter", the Resurrection altarpiece was "clumsy [goffa]" and "it's the worst he's done, and I haven't heard a single painter praise the said painting." Caravaggio was found guilty and held in the Tor di Nona prison for two weeks after the trial, but far from clearing his reputation, Caravaggio's damaging remarks have dominated the critical assessment of Baglione ever since, although Gentileschi's evidence conceded that he was a "first-class painter". I opened my eyes. Where were I? Didn't I just fall into the pit? I was lying on a bed. My clothes were kind of rhe same but they were ripped amd full of dirt and blood.

As I started moving I felt thousands of fresh and old wouds hurting. The strange thing was that I didn't remember getting those wounds.

I got up and walke out of the room. Immediately I noticed that I wa sin a bog city. I knew this city. My taught was submitted as I saw that the house on the other side of the street was a club called 'LUX'.

I had been in Los Angeles. In the series Lucifer. Hadn't I just gotten oit of hell. Hell. Suddenly I remembered being dragged to a table by a Demon.

I decided to visit the Devil. I walke donto the room and ot was surprisingly empty. Luckily Lucifer was there and drinking a glass of I don't know what, I have no Idea with Alcohol.

"Need to talk to you'' I croaked out. He turned around and looked at me." Where did you come from? " he asked. Oh yeah, I still looked like shit. My hair was messy and like I said, full of Blood and dirt.

"Hell" I answered "and I might need yoir help" damn. Why did I have to aske everyone for help? Fist Cas then Death and now Lucifer.

He raised an eyebrow "explain". "Well first I was at home, then I got to you farther knows where and later attacked from a werwolf. Than I landed five years in the future and asked an Angel for help but he couldn't help me becaue Death wanted to talk to me who said that I can only go home if I replace Sam Winchester and let Lucifer, well an other Lucifer take me as Vessel so that I can jump into hell and I wnted to do it but then..." I  trailed of for a  moment than remembered something.

"Michael took me as Vessel. Didn't even have to ask. Well I landed in hell and have no idea how I got out or how long I was in there"

He looked at me strange. Then smirked "looks like you're in trouble " he said "want to ma-" "No, I won't make any deal with you" I told him quickly. "I just need to talk to your Brother" I said. Probably he wouldn't like that but I just want to go home.

He clenched his jaw "saddly I have no idea where he is" he said but, I don't know why but I somehow knew he lied, sometimes I have that. "Suuuuuuuure. Wait, don't I just have to pray?" "No-no, thats absolutely not what it looks like"

I started to pray, well I tried

Uhm, Amadriel I-I have no idea how to pray but I really have to go home and I'm in the wrong dimension. It would be better for all of us if I go home. I mean it could change the future of thos demension and everything....

Suddenly I heard a flap of Wings and Amadriel was standing infront of me. He looked at me for a second and suddenly I was clean and my clother where hole again. "Uhm, Thanks" I said.

"So you are in the wrong dimension?" He asked. "Yes. Where I come from there are no Angels or Werwolves or anything and it was rather peacefull. I really want to go back" I told him.

"I can't get you to your original Dimension but maybe to your last one. It will just take some time" he said. "What do I have to do for that?" I asked him. He smiled sadly "I think you have done enough"

I had arranged with Lucifer that I could sleep on his couch till I could get into the Supernatural Dimension. To think that I once taught it would be fun through dimensions....

I sighed heavily an tried to remember my time in the pit. All I could see was a cage and flames. I felt pain where my wounds and scars were but that was about it.

Kristen – Kriss. Eartham est depuis toujours spectatrice de sa vie. Élevée à la baguette par des « nouveaux riches. » comme on appelle ça, elle a été élevée à la dur, car l'argent est éphémère et qu'il faut savoir se servir de ses mains pour réussir. Ses géniteurs n'ont été que des précurseur de ce fait, bien que l'obligeant à faire plusieurs choix de vie dont elle n'avait pas envie, la personne qui depuis des années dicte chacun de ses faits et geste c'est Madelyn, ah Madelyn. Adulée de tous, crainte par les plus faibles, Madelyn est ‘la meilleure amie’ de Kriss. Voisines depuis qu’elle a emménagée ici, elles sont allées l’une vers l’autre naturellement.

Madelyn est pour le moins un phénomène, ange parfait pour ses parents, démons pour ses camarades, Kriss l'a toujours adoré. Bien qu'elle ait totalement oublié sa propre personnalité pour se faire ‘lobotomiser’ par Maddie. « Non mais tu vas pas mettre ça ?! » « Tu vas pas le laisser te toucher, eurk. » Et bien d'autres..

Suivant les mêmes cours, ayant les mêmes amis, Kriss qui s'est totalement effacée n'est connue que pour être l'amie de la grande Maddie. Bien qu'elle ait sa petite part de répartie, elle n'est pas méchante pour un sous, elle n'aime pas les conflits et son petit cocon que lui assure Mad’ en la protégeant lui convient parfaitement.

Mais dans le fond Kristen bouillonne, ne rêvant que de voyages, d'art et de folies, elle se renferme dans un monde intérieur de luxe, d’apparence et ne reste que la poupée de chiffon des autres. Cette année pleine de troubles et de changements suite à la venue des South ne laisse pas le duo de marbre, et tandis que Maddie affirme son statut de reine de St Leo, Kriss découvre de nouvelles personnalités, un nouveau monde qui malgré tout les dires de Maddie, lui plait bien.

Et Kriss à ses secrets, plus Maddie lui donne des ‘conseils’ plus kriss à envie de se rebeller, ca rassure Maddie d’avoir quelqu’un d’un peu moins ‘avisée’ qu’elle, elle croit toujours que Kriss est innocente et vierge, alors qu’elle a perdu sa virginité avec l’ex copain de cette dernière. Si Maddie savait elle mettrait Kriss plus bas que terre, et kriss ne veut pas le lui dire, elle garde ce petit secret dans sa tête y repensant a chaque fois qu’elle s’énerve contre elle, et pourtant elle l’aime sa Maddie.

▬ Madelyn Andreoti ; “ In love w/ devil ” Meilleure amie, meilleure ennemie, on ne sait jamais vous partagez tout ou presque. Tu l’aimes mais tu la déteste, tu rêves de te délaisser de son poids mais sans elle tu n’es rien, sans toi, elle se perdra dans sa méchanceté tu te sens un peu responsable. Et en même temps t’es la seule a la supporter depuis tout ce temps et elle est celle qui peut te mener a la popularité. 

▬ Andrews  Mostert ;  “un ami interdit”  Contrairement a ce que te dis Maddie, tout les south ne sont pas des délinquants, non lui tu l’as rencontré et tu l’aimes beaucoup, il n’est pas très bavard mais il te fait découvrir une nouvelle manière de voir la vie et t’aimes bien le retrouver a la bibliothèques ou en soutient scolaire.

Design 101: What’s Hollywood Regency Style?

Did you know that there’s a Laurel & Wolf interior designer that resides in every single US state? And while we live all across the county, the place we call home (well, where our mail is delivered to) is West Hollywood, CA.

Here in LA, we’re lucky to be surrounded by some of the world’s greatest design minds out there, so it’s only natural that we’re pretty much obsessed with all things Hollywood Regency. Grab your shades because there will be lots of glitz, glamour, and gold to come!

So, where did Hollywood Regency come from? How can you spot the style when you see it? And what are some ways to integrate it into your own home? Read on to find out!

Define: Hollywood Regency Style

Hollywood Regency style dates all the way back to the 1930’s when Hollywood was said to be in its “Golden Age.” Now we know where all that gold came from! Producers wanted to complement the larger-than-life stars on the silver screen, so they designed their sets with opulence in mind.

Due to this heavy emphasis on glam, Hollywood Regency style furniture tends to have rich textures, contrasting colors, and luscious curves. To make up for the popular, low-lying furniture, the design details are sumptuous and luxurious. Executed with a mix of bold statement pieces and delicate accents, Hollywood Regency balances plush fabrics and finishes with traditional architectural elements.

The Devil Is In the Details

Although the furniture itself often goes hand-in-hand with mid-century modern pieces, the accessories are always flashy and bold. Look for details that are inspired by Art deco, black and white patterns, and jewel tones. Another easy way to spot Hollywood Regency? White lacquer or gold accents!

Go Bold or Go Home

While strong patterns and rich colors are important features of the Hollywood Regency style, it’s best when used sparingly. A good rule of thumb is to keep your decor in the same palette and try to stick to one or two patterns only. Maintain focus in the rest of the room by keeping accessories light and cohesive.

Get a Little Luxe With It

Glamorous textures are one of the most sought-after elements of Hollywood Regency style. Lacquer walls instantly glitz up a space…even in the kitchen! When picking fabrics, channel the movie stars of the 1940’s and their haute couture gowns. We’re back! [for now]. We want to extend our thanks to everyone in Oakland for a successful book fair, organizers, patrons, and booksellers alike! We packed enough material for two booths and after we attended CODEX, we acquired more excellent material for another. CODEX was a truly inspirational experience, as we were able to seek out some new extremely provocative and important work from book artists, including Maureen Cummings, Diane Jacobs, Ximena Perez Grobet, Lorena Velazquez, Xiaoding Xu, and Xueling Dong.

We managed to organize our booth and showcase our collections, in the Lux Mentis way! Images first, a booth tour video at the end. Fun for all!
