I got a beautiful headshot commission from @sunshinemage of Delyth Toirrell nee Crewe, an OC of mine from old, dark fantasy RP. I always associate tea and elegant tea cups with her so here she is, simply relaxing with a cup of strong tea and taking a break from all her plotting and troubles.
Thank you, @sunshinemage, for this elegant and lovely artwork of my Delyth. I love how perfectly you captured the design of her tea cup and I keep falling in love with that vivid shade of blue. And I also adore how her inky curls fall around her neck or the side of her face--her tresses seem so soft and luscious to me.

OCtober: Day Ten
Day 10: In Something They Wouldn’t Wear
This one was a dead ringer for Delyth Toirrell nee Crewe aka the Negotiator from an old dark fantasy RP I used to partake in. She’s quite stylish and keeps an eye on the latest trends. She is known to pick the colors and fashions that complement her figure, coloring, and movements. So this day would be fun to see what type of outfit wouldn’t she wear. XD
(Art done by @jessicamarianadraws)
Now, there are probably a myriad of outfits Delyth would never be caught dead wearing but she’s definitely not the type to wear frumpy or skin-tight gowns. Baggy tops or pants are also not an option. But there are some styles during the medieval or Tudor times she’d burn before they made their way to the wardrobe. Here is one example of them:
The headware is something Delyth would never wear, the gown’s sleeves are too poofy and big while the skirt seems far too loose to her liking. And when it comes to high necklines, Delyth is very picky in how they look around her throat. If she can barely move her neck or if those enormous, lacy collars are blocking her peripheral vision, she’s ditching the dress or that style.

This took me forever to finally post this freaking amazing and breathtaking commission of an OC of mine, Delyth Toirrell nee Crewe aka “The Negotiator”, from a dark fantasy RP I partake in. It’s called Goetterdaemmerung. The wonderful, talented, and kind @perfectlydrawnlines made this commission possible and I’m still in utter awe in how the art of her turned out. The parrying knife and the teacup just demonstrates who she really is: a noble lady who doesn’t mind to fight, casts spells, play politics, and still look proper and fashionable.
If you guys can commission @perfectlydrawnlines, please do so! She’s a pleasure to work with.

Fact swap! To keep her hair in its typical dramatic style, Coda uses various hair products including hair gel, hairspray, various types of mousse--her hair is the part of her appearance she tends to be most vain about. Every other part of her appearance could barely have any effort put into it, but as long as her hair is looking good, that's almost all that matters to her.
She does have lovely hair and a fabulous ‘do so congrats to her effort and overall appearance!
My character, Delyth Crewe aka “The Negotiator”, knows the importance of appearance and looking the part. Born and raised in a prestigious, successful noble family, she is very meticulous with her hair and clothes and conducts herself in a polished, collected manner with poise and elegance. Yet she also gives off a rather cunning, intimidating mien and an air of coolness for those who are perceptive enough. And depending on the occasion or event, she will style her hair in a specific way, be it down or up, with curls, ringlets, braids, bun(s), or chignon, and so forth. Her hairstyles can be quite elaborate or look so simple yet still be equally beautiful and mesmerizing.

OC Fact Swap! Magnus Dampier, Captain and CEO of Hat Trick Bounty Hunting, is a fan of bird meat. However, he's afraid to ask his crew's cook to prepare it, because the chef is able to turn into a raven and he doesn't want to offend her.
Oh, that’s awkward. I can see why he would resist posing such a question even if bird meat is quite tasty.Let’s see, Delyth Toirrell nee Crewe aka The Negotiator, loves sushi. It’s her favorite food hands down. Before she was married, her father made sure sushi was available for her on her birthday and even during special occasions made sure the cooks could make it or at least ship it over to prepare and fix up. After her marriage to Swithin, he found out about her love for sushi and continued on the tradition her father left behind. A few times, when she was with child, her cravings would be either for raw fish or sushi in the tenfold so now, sushi eventually became a regular part of meals in House Toirrell.

#12: What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: writing, drawing, edits, etc.)? - OC of your choice
Oooh, thank you for this fun ask! :D I will use this opportunity to talk about Delyth Crewe/Delyth Toirrell nee Crewe aka The Negotiator from an old dark fantasy RP I use to partake in. I plan to reuse her and her story at some point in one of my original works.
For Delyth, she was one of the hardest characters ever to write in an RP format. And this is coming from someone who has RPed for over 11 years, give or take. Delyth was designed to be this sophisticated, reserved, extremely intelligent and perceptive young woman who mastered the courtly games and had a high acumen for politics. Writing her in battle with weapons or magic or reminiscing of her children was easy enough but RPing political maneuvers or uncertain negotiations when you have no idea where the plot in the overall RP is going so kind of just wing it really made me second guess or wonder about what Delyth would really do in these certain situations. Writing her in general, like in short stories, is easier because I have complete control of the outcome and am able to show off all her potential as well as her shortcomings. When it comes to romance or even mild flirting, she is a closed book and I usually have to write paragraphs and paragraphs before I can finally get to a chaste hand kiss or an inkling of romantic notion that she will admit to. Writing her with love is akin to a long, drawn out tug of war game. XD

My OCs Master List
Until I carve out a huge hunk of time to update and to my OCs lists, here is a general character log of all my current OCs (minus my 7kpp OCs, they’re getting revamped into new, more original OCs because I decided to use them in original work in the near future). When I have the time later, I’ll add a link to their tags but I’ve known in the past sometimes their tags don’t show all of their posts so sometimes using the search option for their name yields more results.

Dancing With a Hawke [Taurien x Delyth]
Last and final day of OC Kiss Week for me, this time featuring my OC Delyth Crewe/Toirrell and @sportivory‘s Taurien Hawke. I hope you enjoyed this oneshot and I depicted Taurien well, Sapph!
The grand, lavished ball was her mother's idea. Her father never cared for such ostentatious displays of wealth but he understood their importance. Hosting party informed all the other nobles how much power, riches, and status one had and how constant they all remained to be able to afford such an event. But Lord Crewe let his wife handle all the arrangements and planning for the ball, for she was greatly skilled in that area. Everyone knew the wine and other alcohol would be the best around, for Lady Mabyn Crewe wasn't the daughter from a long line of vineyard merchants for nothing. Thus, from day one, the House Crewe ball would be resounding success, thanks to Delyth's mother's hands on the reign.
Albeit no one hinted or told her outright, Delyth Eira Crewe sensed another reason why her mother insisted on hosting a grand celebration at their home: finding her a suitable husband, of course. She was already past the typical marrying age (no fault of her own, her father simply refused to hand over his prized offspring who supported him dutifully and flawlessly in court) and both of her younger sisters were already promised or wedded. However, even if Mother paraded an army of elligible suitors in front of her, Delyth was confident she could avoid being matched to any of them, especially if her lord father disapproved. Knowing Father, he wanted to aim high for her, and no minor lordling or noble would do.
"Oh, Delyth, you look beautiful! You are going to shine tonight at the ball." her mother remarked with pride, tucking an ebony curl behind her ears. The maids opted to fashion her hair into ringlets and piled some of the strands on top of her head, allowing a dark curtain to unfold past her neck and shoulders, slightly to her mid-back. As for her dress, Delyth selected pale yellow and viridian dress, complete with emeralds encrusted along the bodice and ornate, goldenrod designs decorating the skirt, hem, and stomacher. She had a matching emerald necklace draped around her ivory neck. Glancing in the mirror, she understood why people described her beauty as 'unearthly' or 'unconventional'. She didn't mind, really. She rather be praised on her mind and fighting prowess more often.
"If you say so, Mother," Delyth perfunctorily replied, returning her attention back to her mother. "Now, I believe it is time for us go, unless we want to be late."
"No, no, you're right. Goodness knows I can't afford to be tardy my very own celebration!"
Taurien Hawke scanned the jocose, indulgent crowd with unease, feeling suspicious out of his element. The Viscount sent him here in hopes of gaining foreign alliances to deal with the troubles back in Kirkwall but how could he, who barely knew the land or its people, get any one of the nobles to care about a city they probably never heard about?
This is hopeless.
Sighing, he snatched up a goblet from a nearby servant and took a swig, pleasantly surprised via the red wine's fruity, semi-sweet, and heavenly smooth nature. His mission might turn sour but at least the drinks were good. Taking a seat, Taurien happened to cross paths with an overzealous, already intoxicated noble who patted him on the back, laughing and joking away as if they were old comrades. Shifted uncertainly in his chair, he answered the lord's questions as best he could, explaining his assignment and Kirkwall's plight to the best of his abilities. The older man seemed intrigued, nodding along rapidly while listening idly to Taurien's quiet speech.
"That sounds interesting, Serah--what did you say your name was again?" the lord slurred, leaning over Taurien's shoulder.
"Hawke. Taurien Hawke." But his answer made no difference, for the man simply sagged over, pushing up against him before slipping down to lie sprawled out on the floor in front of him, utterly unconscious. Shaking his head with disappointment, he took another sip from his goblet. And to think he was about get his first ally for Kirkwall!
"I'm afraid you are one of the many people Lord Siebaro has decided to collaspe on during any feast," came a cool, composed voice from his right. Pivoting his head around, Taurien was faced with a young woman (or girl? She appeared youthful but the way she conducted herself screamed out adulthood, or at least, a very mature maiden) with curly raven tresses, pale skin, and a startling pair of cobalt eyes. A shadow of a wry smile flickered over her light, rosy lips, as if she was amused by the scene before her. He had to admit, the image of a passed-out man laying on his feet was a tad bit entertaining.
"Unfortunately, no one warned me beforehand. My name is Serah Taurien Hawke, from Kirkwall."
The noble lady arched one elegant eyebrow at his words, curiosity abruptly flashing all over her face. "Kirkwall? That name sounds familiar." She paused, contemplating for several moments prior to adding, "Is that name of some city or village in this faraway land called Thedas? My father has some trade deals there and I believe he mentioned Kirkwall at some point."
The Maker was smiling on him now, for this was a chance he had to seize, whether or not this woman would end up helping his cause. At least he meet someone who had an inkling where he was from.
"You are correct, my lady---" Taurien faltered, realizing, much to his chagrin, that he forgot to ask for her name earlier.
"Delyth Crewe," she provided, coming to his rescue. A neutral expression was now fixed on her pale but lovely features but she didn't seem less inviting or cordial. To him, she seemed like the type of person who was hard to read and did so on purpose, to protect themselves.
Just then, dulcet, loving, and energetic music poured out from the center of the ballroom, overpowering most discussions and entrancing an audience to begin dancing. Delyth turned to Taurien, offering her hand out for him to take. "Do you dance, Serah Hawke?"
A tight, mirthless grin settled across his lips. "Poorly, I'm afraid."
"Then I shall teach you the steps. Come, follow me." she decreed thusly, guiding him to the dance flow by gently yet firmly tugging him along. He obeyed, figuring there were worst activities he could be doing besides being in the arms of a comely woman. Perhaps after a dance or two, he would have the opportunity to state his assignment and be able to convince her to have her father or anyone else send support to the Viscount in Kirkwall. Then again, he knew very little of Lady Delyth Crewe so there was a possibility that no help would derive from her.
As the dancing began, she effortlessly explained and showed him the proper steps for each phase, temporarily leading him until he became more accustomed to the rhythm. She never grew tired of him messing up the steps or nearly stepping on her feet--in fact, those little bumblings of his somehow managed to coax a small smile from her lips or a sparkle in her eyes. Yet pride glowed through her when he was able to perfectly execute the movements and comfortable enough to be the lead partner.
"You learn fast, Serah Hawke. I'm impressed."
"That's because I had a wonderful teacher," he responded frankly. She shot him a droll, humorous look, as if to call out on his flattery. "And it's the truth. I think you made me much more confident in my dancing now."
Delyth cocked her head at him with interest, unable suppress the amusement in her tone as she listened to his compliments. "Honest man are hard to find at court. But mayhap you are one of them." He twirled her around, one, two, three times before she returned to his arms once more. "Who is to say? Only time will tell."
"Are you usually this wary of others?" Taurien had to know more about this noble lady, to gauge what kind of person she was, and if he could trust her with aiding Kirkwall.
"Not wary. Practical. When you're at court, you need practicality to survive. But a little dose of suspicion every now and then never hurts. There is always someone scheming."
He halted, releasing her so she can pranced around while he clapped, their motions mirror images of the other dancing couples all around them. "Why are you telling me this? What if I am one of those supposed schemers?" He was never the plotting type but he had to inquire why she was willing to share this much insight to him.
"You're not. I could tell that merely by observing you that you're not an ambitious man. Consider all what I said about court a warning, a word of advice when you deal with the rest of people at this ball." Taurien nodded wordlessly, unable to think of anything else to respond with. Comfortable silence soon cloaked them for the rest of the dance, their eyes fixated on each other and no one else. Delyth had to admit the more Taurien danced, the better and swifter he became. Thus, the end of the dance saddened her a bit for there was no doubt in her mind Serah Hawke had business elsewhere and only danced to humor her. At least she saved from dealing with unwanted suitors for awhile.
"Thank you, Lady Delyth, for the dance," the said man commented, giving her a half-smile. She returned the favor and yet, he held on to her hand a little longer, more so than was deemed proper. Then he leaned down and chastely kissed her hand, an act Delyth herself didn't predict. It was a mere custom, of course, and meant nothing but the way he glanced up and his eyes lingered over her provoked a slight increased in her heart's thumping and the corners of her mouth lifted upward more widely, as if charmed by his subtle, polite gesture.
Why I am behaving and feeling so strangely right now?
"And I thank you as well. You have made tonight more enjoyable." Taurien stood back up and bobbed his head a little, a knowing glint in his eyes. Recalling their earlier conversation prior the dance, she immediately seized on that topic in hopes of stalling him from leaving or her mother or father to swoop in to discuss her future and marriage with her. "Oh, I forgot to query you about this earlier, but can you enlightened me about Kirkwall and why a man such as yourself is far away from home?"
Relief surged through Taurien from her question as they departed the dancing crowd. There was his opening!
"Well, you see, my Lady Delyth..."

I DEMAND A POEM
I have no idea where this request came from but hey, don’t mind at all. Let’s see I can whip something up that’s not atrocious or pretentious. And sorry for the long wait, couldn’t decide what I wanted to write about but figured I haven’t done something for Goetterdaemmerung or Delyth in a while.
A Prelude to Delyth
Second born, but born for greatness,
Guided by the lord father
Into court, books, magic, and training,
For whatever skills or power her status
Might obtained.
She had more freedom and chances than most
But if she ever strayed
A firm hand would wedge her
Back on course,
While a chilling reprimand and
Hard stare compel her to obey.
Life was not kind to her,
This second child of House Crewe.
Love was elusive,
Familial bonds waned,
And parents left the world far too early,
Yet just in time for others.
For then blood and death
Besmirched her home,
Snatching away a considerate husband,
More of a friend than lover,
And nine, beautiful children,
Each one she labored to bring into the world,
Only for the same world
To snuff them out one by one.
She burns, burns so silently
With an icy rage
Revenge in her mind,
The past haunting her heart.
A damaged soul–a lost, broken spirit
Is she.
Yearning to feel again, to live again,
To go back being herself,
Once more.
Even though her lips whisper
Her newfound title,
She still hears her name
From her very soul.
Ah, well, hoped you enjoyed the short poem on Delyth, @flytehwire.
