#Deku's 2019th Birthday Celebration

In an envelope was a happy birthday card (not specifically one of those but it had a giant fluffy bunny on it with a birthday message written on the inside). Tucked inside the card was a handmade punchcard. The punchcard was for katsudon, with five little star stamps on it for five bowls of katsudon. It wasn't for a restaurant but for Katsuki's cooking. It was the best he could come up with and he hoped Deku would like it. He slid him the envelope in passing. "Happy birthday, Deku."

Ah jeez, he really is becoming more well-known as The Green Bunny Hero, huh? ‘Guess there’s no fighting it... Besides, at least it was really a really cute bunny, Deku can give him that, and overall it’s a birthday card from Kicchan.He’ll cherish it and all that it’s worth.

It wasn’t until he began tucking the card back in the envelope did he realize that a handmade punchcard had actually fallen out prior onto the floor. Picking it up, he blinked a few times before quickly connecting the dots.

Uuoohhh...! Uuooohhhhh...!!!This is.. the best birthday ever...!!!!!! 

Deku’s holding the punchcard up in the air and under the light now, acting like he just won The Jackpot of All Jackpots.K--Kicchan.. Kicchan’s willing to cook for him! He’s willing to cook him katsudon five times!

..Deku stared out at the rain from the comfort of his small, single-room apartment. Fortunately, even with the rain, it was still bright enough outside for him to cut down on electricity and just sit there in the dark. A slice of cake had eventually been placed on plastic plate, and he quietly ate it in silence.

All alone in his little, single-room apartment.

Shouji places down a small little cake for Midoriya right in front of him. Though he was no baker, his mother had no problem making this for him and bringing it up. "Happy Birthday, Izuku," Leaning in, he tugs his mask down for a kiss at his cheek.

“Ah- Shouji, thank you…!” An eager smile grew on his face upon suddenly being given a small cake. Did Shouji make this? Or maybe it was one of his moms? If that’s the case, then he’s gotta make sure to gift them something in return… It’s only right that he expressed his gratitude right back at them.“We should eat this together. It’s much tastier eating with f–”

Before he could finish that sentence, Midoriya was suddenly caught by surprise the second he felt a kiss against his cheek. He froze up, initially stunned, but the cogwheels in his brain were instantly chugging, and it wasn’t long before his heart started pumping and his face burning bright red. He quickly devolved into a fit of nervous, but clearly blissful giggles. Oh man. Tell him he’s dreaming. Th-This isn’t a dream, is it? Did Shouji really just…? 

‘Course, he had his answers once he looked up and saw that Shouji indeed pulled his mask down. Deku’s face burned even more.

“—Th-This is the best birthday ever…”..Oops. He said that out loud, didn’t he?

"Midoriya!! Happy Birthday!!" Bounding right over to Izuku, he holds out a gift bag for him. Inside was a lucario doll with a little All Might cape wrapped around it's neck. There was also a few All Might themed composition books in there as well.

“Ah...! I-Is that...?!”Deku’s eyes lit up the moment he opened the gift bag. It’s almost like Kaminari made sure to check off everything on his list of things that he liked. Well, okay, so it’s pretty much a given by now how much he liked anything All Might-themed, but that in addition to knowing how much he liked using notebooks for analyses? And even his favorite pokemon? How’d he even know about that?!

He hugged the gift bag close to himself with a big, nerdy smile on his face. Just getting a birthday greeting would’ve been enough for him.

“Thank you so much, Kaminari. It really means a lot...! Really..!!”

Unsure about how Midoriya will have taken their gift, Rokku stops by his room again later on. After a brief knock, they let themselves in. "Happy birthday, Midoriya-san!" they say happily. "How did you enjoy your gift?"

“---! Ah!A-Akimoto!”Funny enough, Deku hadn’t moved a single inch since holding the shirt out in front of him to turn into a flustered idiot. Seeing his door open, he just turned to look at Rokku before finally breaking out of it. 

“I’m--! Y-Yes---!! I mean-- I like it...! The shirt! I like the shirt!!” He was stammering, and fumbling with the shirt in his hands, and for some reason trying to cover himself like he was either caught red-handed or naked... Deku’s brain was just Not Working, and it stayed like that for a solid minute before he was finally getting some kind of grasp with his bundle of nerves.

“I-I-- I like it, Akimoto...! Thank you...! B-But, uhm-- i-if it’s-- okay to ask, well... I just-- you see.. that is, you know, with---with the shirt...”“A-Are you.....trying to imply something.. h..ere.....?”

Tsuyu smiled as she handed Deku a small box that contained vanilla cupcakes with mint green icing on them. "Happy Birthday Kerro!"

“Uwaah, these look amazing...! Thanks, Tsuyu-chan!”Ignoring the warmth collecting in his cheeks, Midoriya went ahead and picked up a cupcake to marvel the hard work. Never would he have imagined getting genuine gifts like this back in middle school. Just being acknowledged like this was enough to make his day.

Deku definitely made sure to share one with Asui herself. After all, food tastes a whole lot better when it’s shared with friends.

On Izuku's desk, on top of a scattering of green glitter in different shades, sits a neatly wrapped gift. When he opens it, he'll find a shirt that reads "Boyfriend Material T-Shirt".

It wasn’t hard to figure out who left the gift this time. Glitter, not to mention it being in his own room when he usually locked the door... Maybe someday, Deku will finally get to see Rokku give him something in-person. Until then, though, he doesn’t mind them sticking to their signature gift-giving traditions. Once the glitter was cleaned up, it was onto unwrapping the gift. Deku wasn’t quite sure what to expect for a birthday gift from Rokku, but..

..if he had to guess, it probably wouldn’t have been anything like this.In an instant, heat bloomed on his face. His heart quickly began to race just thinking about the reasoning behind this gift. Boyfriend material...? Him? Boyfriend?? Was-- Was Rokku trying to imply something here??? Huh???? Whaaaa?????

Needless to say, the birthday gift really surprised him.

"A little bird told me it's your birthday, so, happy birthday; here" Hawks gives the kid a envelope containing a ticket. Apparently there's an exhibition of a bunch of items belonging to a great heroes all around the world, and now it's in a museum in Tokyo. It's limited time and the tickets were gone in the blink of an eye.

Mother of gods. Deku just got a birthday gift and greeting from none other than the number two hero himself in-person. Hawks. Greeting him happy birthday. With a birthday gift.

“Th-Tha–Thank you! Thank you so much!!”Man, words can’t even describe how happy he was feeling right now.

And it got even better when he saw that the envelope contained a ticket to an exhibition he always wanted to go to. Mother. Of. G o d s . Somebody please make sure this boy is even b r e a t h i n g. Is he dreaming? He’s dreaming isn’t he? Well here’s hoping it stays that way, ‘cause he’s officially declaring this The Best Birthday Ever™!

The blonde walked up without much of a sound, curling an arm around the other's shoulders and neck. A warm hand smoothed over Izuku's chin and cheek till half his face was cupped. Bakugo's lips covered the other cheek with a little hum. Enjoy it, Deku, it's the only gift you'll really get this year. "Happy birthday, Deku." Smooch right on the cheek.

“??? Kacch–??”Suddenly hooked in the other’s arm, Deku surprised voice was instantly cut off with a warm touch along his face and a kiss on the cheek. Soft lips. Soft Kacchan lips. He even felt the little hum that came with it.Holy cow.

..Needless to say, he was flustered beyond belief. Not even a stutter of a sound was coming out of him, which was probably fortunate for Bakugou. His face was burning now, possibly even aglow. Heat gathered most in the cheeks and ears, although it was most notably prominent right on the spot where the Bakukiss was planted.

A kiss… A kiss from Kacchan…Things really felt like they were moving along for the better between them now, huh…?

Although he's adamantly ignoring his own birthday, Yamikumo still makes it a point to slip into Izukkun's room after the others have already left for class to leave his gift. Silently thanking Yayoi again for selling it to him, Yamikumo placed the limited edition summer festival All Might figuring on Izukkun's desk to greet him when he returns from classes. His task complete, Yamikumo hurries to join the others before the bell rings.

“Ugh, I’m pooped...”Obviously, school was indifferent to birthdays. Aside from all the birthday gifts and greetings, he still had to look forward to intense training thereafter. He was ready to head to the showers, opening his door so he could drop off all his things and fetch a change of clothes and towel.

As soon as he saw that figurine on his desk, Deku came to an abrupt halt. Suddenly, all his exhaustion seemed to have melted away in light of ecstatic joy. He was at his desk in a split second, inspecting the figurine and marveling its rarity and commenting to himself how bad he really wanted this when it was being put up for sale. Such a shame he wasn’t able to get it at the time, but now, here it was. In his grasp. 

Surely, this must’ve been someone’s birthday gift to him.Only question was: who was the one who gave it?

... Apparently, the candy the figurine dispensed wasn’t as good as he expected.

If anyone saw Katsuki with Deku's present they would seriously laugh at him. So the bright yellow ita bag filled with All Might pins and charms - including some especially made by Ponytail like the one where All Might was holding a Deku banner - was placed in a gift bag with a card and left in Deku's room. The label on the bag said 'To my nerd

Holy cow...! Look at this bag...!!Upon returning to his room, the bag immediately caught his attention in just a blink of an eye. He was quick to inspect it, holding it up and gawking at every single All Might pin and charms. Are these limited editions? There are even some where All Might made tribute to Deku...! He just might smack himself in the face in order to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. Something like that.. really moved him to the core.

It wasn’t long before he saw the label. Of course it’d be from Kacchan, who else would go this far with the All Might theme other than Deku himself? A huge, wobbly smile cracked on his face, and he hugged the bag close as he read the birthday card next.

Yeah, he’s definitely gonna be wearing this bag from now on whenever he hangs out with Kacchan.

Kari chirped and sat a pair of hand made gloves that could go with Deku's hero costume. They were a dark green with the fingers cut off and white around the edges. She smiled softly while giving the gift to her brother with a small card, also hand made, that had a drawing of her and Deku saving her. In it were the words; "Happy Birthday Izu-nii! You're my hero and I love you!" In neat hand writing. "Happy birthday! I made you a cake too, it's in the fridge." She informed.

Izuku’s eyes widened, heart swelling with utmost appreciation for the gloves he knew that Kari made with all her soul. Part of him was already scrambling his brain to figure out how to implement this into his hero costume. He already had the gloves that doubled as braces for his arms, but.. he’s pretty sure he can work a way around it.

Seeing the handmade card brought a heartfelt smile on his face. Becoming someone’s hero will never fail to make him happy beyond words.

“Ricchan, thank you...” Deku had to wipe incoming tears that pricked the corners of his eyes before finally giving Kari the biggest hug ever. “Really, you have no idea how much this means to me... I’m gonna make sure I find a way to be able to wear these gloves with my hero costume, too. Just you watch...!”

“Now, let’s go eat that cake together...!”

"yo, i'm about to end your whole career with the best smooch you've ever had, babe" she leans forward and kisses him on the lips then before pulling back and grinning. "it's electrifying, huh? happy birthday, boo!" she may or may not be wearing lip balm that makes your lips tingle...

Uwouah--...! Uwooouaah...!! Did Utsushimi just... o-out of nowhere...?!

That tingling sensation left on his lips only added to the rest of his frozen stature. His face had gone completely aglow, steam practically rising from the top of his head. She wasn’t kidding about that being the best smooch he’s ever had. Well, it’s actually the only smooch he’s ever had from another person.

“Iii-I-I’m-- I-- I’m---”“--Thh-ank---Thankyou---”

His first kiss for his birthday...... Holy cow.

A package is delivered to his dorm. It's a beautifully wrapped box of homemade daifuku with a birthday card attached, signed 'the Todoroki family'.

Oh my goodness…! Just look at the beauty behind this birthday gift’s wrapping! Part of him honestly didn’t want to ruin the craftsmanship, but then it’d be disrespectful to leave a person’s gift unwrapped… Speaking of, he took the birthday card to read what’s inside. Seeing that this is from none other than Todoroki’s family themselves, he couldn’t help but feel honored for obtaining a gift. Is it because he’s Todoroki’s friend...? Actually, scratch that -- has Todoroki been talking about him to his family??? Good god, what an honor...!!

Carefully unwrapping the box, a delicious, subtle aroma gently wafted over from inside. This was clearly homemade. He’s gotta make sure to savor each one. Deku also made a mental note to ask Todoroki to send his thank-you’s to the rest of the Todorokis.

Maybe he should send them a gift in return while he’s at it, too...

"Ah-- um..." He's fidgeting like crazy to not fuck this up, but still attempts his //best// smile for the occasion. "Happy... B-Birthday, Midoriya-kun..."

“~~~~~....!!!!!!” Mother. Of  G o d s.Deku.. has been blessed...! Look at that smile! That award-winning smile! Shimizu was doing his darndest to giving him The Best Smile™, and honestly, he couldn’t ask for anything more...! Deku couldn’t help but reciprocate with a radiant, appreciative smile of his own. Somehow, he gets the feeling that Shimizu worked really hard just to do this right on the spot...

“Thank you so much, Senpai!”To him, it’s always the thought that counts.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY... to my favorite White-cheeked Turaco boy!" Don't question it-- she needed a bird-related nickname for him and the hair on that thing is fitting.

“Ah– th-thank you!!” Deku couldn’t help but grow just the slightest bit flustered at the birthday greeting. Funny enough, he still tended to get flustered at time whenever it came to Mori despite having already becoming friends with her. Of course, he obviously couldn’t help but let his mind linger on the nickname after hearing it. A white-cheeked turaco? What even is that…? Not to mention, she said he was her favorite white-cheeked turaco.F..Favorite…

..It wasn’t until he soon got the chance to search it up did he finally learn what a white-cheeked turaco was.

Needless to say, he now learned why she picked that particular nickname for him. But he’ll let her continue to call him that. Nicknames are very important to him, after all.

..Maybe he can give her a nickname, too…?Mo-chan seems cute…
