Dating Decord and Galin HCs

Yeah this is for @cerasus--flores​

-Okay so dating both of them is so messy. Decord is SHIT with his feelings and emotions, so you probably started dating Galin first. And Galin being who they are, has no relationship experience, and sorta sucks with it. So when they realised they also liked Decord, it was a mess. It’s so messy, please help both of them. They’re so stupid.

-It took a while before Decord no longer felt like an intruder in your relationship, this goes for any ot3 with him actually, even if he started dating the person first??? He’s got major imposter issues. But he gets into the groove of things eventually, just expect him to be awkward at first!

-As the resident Tall Bf:™:, Decord is quite a fan of being the big spoon, and his arm is long enough to be over both you and Galin. Win situation for him. However he does use his height against the both of you, holding things above your head with that stupid smirk.

-Dating two members of the Fatui’s most dangerous undercover unit is definitely a choice by the way! Decord is insanely protective, more so than Galin, but that doesn’t mean Galin isn’t either. Both of them are playing high risks, high stakes, and high rewards games. To outsiders, you are their shared weakness. And both members will do everything to protect you.

-That being said, there are days where you’re stuck at the bunker or whatever safe house they’re hiding in. Galin is the most apologetic about it, often staying with you when they can so you aren’t alone. Decord has long since justified this as a safety thing, which it is! So he continues to work as usual, leaving late and coming back later. 

-Things aren’t all work with the two of them though! Giving their resources, they have the ability to treat you to anything and everything you could ever want. They aren’t on par with Harbingers, but there isn’t very much they can’t obtain. Decord likes to buy you gifts the most, jewellery, books, clothing, toys, weapons. While Galin likes to pay for experiences! Trips, restaurants, galas. They’ve even gotten you on the Pearl Galley a couple of times(thanks to Sandrone). 

-Favourite pastimes include helping Galin drag Decord outside for five minutes, cooking with Decord while Galin watches(and stays FAR away from the pans), and pranking Kisa with the both of them. 

-They’re quite domestic for trained killers and spies. Decord lets you do his hair while he helps Galin choose which shirt they’re going to wear with that fit of theirs. Decord is also a big fan of wrapping his scarf around you whenever it’s relatively chilly. Galin doesn’t have much to offer when it's cold, but that’s okay because they’re very cute. 

-Dating a hydro allogene and a cryo allogene is definitely very funny though. There are many days that end with the three of you soaking, ice crystallising on your clothing and hair. Galin is laughing, and Decord is doing his best not to smile. Just don’t spook Galin if you’re in the bath or shower with them. It gets very cold very quickly (,: 

-Steal Decord’s clothes omg please steal his clothing. It’s so big and comfortable, not to mention you get to see him turn fire engine red. Galin will help you steal that man’s clothing. Of course if you both wear his clothes, Decord might die, but it’s worth it. 

-While Galin wears the key Decord gave them on a bracelet, Decord knew he had to give something to you too. And while he wears his vision on a necklace around his neck, under his scarf, he figured he could repurpose the chain. So that’s what he did! Decord is a master thief, making another skeleton key comes easy. He attached the key to the necklace and gave it to you, opting to use an older chain of his for his vision instead.

Your usual night guard was nowhere to be seen, the silver haired man missing from his usual post just outside your bedroom door. You raised an eyebrow at the suspicious lack of Decord. But Emil seemed to pay it no mind as the guard opened your chambers door with the golden key hanging from his keyring.

"Where is the Harcourt fellow?" You questioned as you entered the bedroom. Emil closed the door with his back, turning to lock the door once more. But instead of attaching the keyring to his hip, he quietly walked to the nearest bedside table, setting it down.

Once all was said and done his tense shoulders relaxed, turning his attention to you, your loyal guard has a smile on his face. "I paid Dec off to switch shifts with me. It's been a while since we spent time with one another." His explanation was surprising in a way. Usually it was you who had to drag the diligent guard into this.

Your night progressed as it always did, Emil helping you into your sleepwear, making sure the room was secure, the pillows were to your liking. Every action fit for a royal knight. Sans one difference, joining you in bed. He sank into the plush mattress of your bed, black hair sprawled over the white Sumerian cotton sheets.

Your head rested on his chest, where his heart beat steadily, calmly. Absentmindedly, he ran his scarred fingers through your hair, having already brushed it, he encountered no tangles. "One day, we will not have to hide our love, your highness.." He promised, voice quiet, attentive.

Emil turned his head some, eyes closing as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "Wishful thinking tonight, Emil?" You teased softly, arm tightening around his waist as he kissed your head. Emil chuckled against your hair, a soft sigh escaping him as he leaned his head back against the pillow.

"Does his highness mind?"

"No.. I like to believe that too."

The knight smiled, bringing his hand from your hair to rest over you, bringing you closer to him. "Sleep, dearest snowflake.. We have a busy day tomorrow." Emil whispered, his soothing voice and the steady beating of his heart already lulling you into a comfortable slumber. You felt safe in his arms.

The situation was almost surreal, you hadn't even considered the possibility.

When Coralie was insistent her brother wasn't dead, almost everybody brushed off her concerns. It was just a conspiracy! Some made up cover up in order to cope with her loss. At least, that was what you told yourself, you bought into the efforts to silence her opinion.

But there was no other person this could be than him.

Silvery hair longer now, messier, tied up in a ponytail, golden eyes sharp but the exact same as you remembered. It was the scar that put you off, marring more than half his face. There was no real time to inspect him further as he dragged Lady Coralie away from the ballroom.

You watched as a short redhead chased after the two, the mask on their hip undeniable. Fatui? You looked around as various guards attempted to help Marquis Harcourt to calm down the partygoers, and opted to take advantage of the chaos.

You passed by the redhead, seemingly upset by something as they returned to the ballroom. You could hear Coralie's excited voice, albeit sniffly. You took a deep breath as you knocked on the door, it went quiet on the other end. "Cora? It's me."

The door opened, the man looking down at you with a less than impressed expression. You could only stare up at him, it really was him.. "Bon-" He made a face and you closed your mouth, playing with the sleeve of your blouse.

"Decord?"

Decord..? He stepped back, letting you into the room to see Coralie. The young woman stood, her own golden eyes lighting up with excitement. "But I thought you died..?" You managed as you stepped into the room. So much history, so much you remembered from the past.

"Yes, well.. Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated." He waved his hand, and you got a glimpse at his skin, he was burned there too. "Cora, so long as you're a target we should keep you isolated. Say your hellos quickly."

Just as much work as he was back then.

"Oh don't be like that, Decord." She chastised him, earning a rather annoyed look from her brother. "I was right all along, can you believe it!?" She seemed more than pleased as she took your hands, dragging you further into the room. "New name, new friends. But still him. We got him back."

Your heart skipped a beat at that. We? You watched as the man went to the window on the other side of the room, leaning against it with a frown. He was decidedly different now, almost like he was somebody else. You couldn't imagine what he'd been through the last several years.

But you'd find out. You still remember your promises.

How often do they fight? Do they usually playfight or only serious fights? How do they make up to their s/o? They don’t fight very often. Which is surprising, but it’s because Decord is the kind of person to literally use his powers to disappear in order to calm down before resuming the conversation in a better headspace. I think they really only had one massive fight and it's because Galin killed him. Just straight up murdered him. That being said, Galin is a big person and doesn’t hesitate to apologise when they know they’ve done the wrong thing. Big on mutual apologies and discussing what to do to make it up to the other.

How do they express their love and affection? Verbally? Writing it down? Actions? Do they ever say/Have they ever said “I love you?” Galin is very verbal and physical about their love for Decord, while Decord is much quieter about his love for them. While Galin seeks him out, hugging him and mumbling about how much they love him. Decord is much more likely to bring home things Galin likes or treating them to dinner or other activities they mention in passing. Though he’s not above the quiet “I love you”s too.

When was the moment that really clicked for them? Like “I’m in love with them” or “This is the person for me”? Literal soulmates aside, there was something about Galin’s willingness to accept Decord’s skeleton key without knowing its origin that sorta endeared him to them. And of course, Decord dying in Galin’s arms the first time was absolutely terrifying for them and made them realise how much they loved him. Then he came back! And they got to tell him!

How sappy and cheesy are they? Do they go for cliched things or do they try to come up with original ideas to impress? Galin is so sappy and cheesy, fella the kind of person to get on one knee to ask for a kiss whenever they need attention a lil too bad. Whether or not its purposefully cliche, Galin is just a cliche touchy lover. I love them for it. So does Decord. Decord thinks they’re so silly. Decord is sappy, but he isn’t cheesy. And most of his ideas are original, not even to impress, he’s just like that.

What do they do when their s/o gets hurt? Do they fuss over them? Nurse them back to health? Decord is going to murder whatever hurt Galin so jot that one down. Nothing will survive his wrath when his partner gets hurt. THEN Decord will fuss over them while they’re in the infirmary, he’s a bit overbearing. Galin later becomes an interstice like Decord, but beforehand they’re just !! a person!! He’s worried. Nursemaid Decord REAL. On the other hand Galin just burnt the soup they made for Decord when he got sick, so they’re kind of useless at being a nursemaid. But they’ll give him kisses and act as a heat or cool pad depending on what he needs :D!

Would they like to get married? Are they the type who likes a big dramatic ceremony or just go to the nearest town hall to get officiated? Do they plan their wedding or ask others for help? I think they would like to get married. If only to spite their respective families. Their ceremony isn’t dramatic, but it is relatively big. Galin is a royal and Decord comes from an aristocratic family albeit he isn’t an aristocrat himself. Coralie Harcourt plans their wedding alongside Inessa and Lucille 100%

Do they play fairly, go soft on their s/o, or do they use affection to distract their s/o to win? (e.g., kisses, flirting, etc.) GALIN IS A CHEATER. Decord likes to play fair but isn’t above cheating when Galin does. Galin will kiss Decord or tickle him or even resort to uhhh less chaste methods just to distract him and win. They are a menace to society.

How would they handle long-distance relationships? Do they wait for their s/o to contact them, or do they spam their messages with every little thing that reminds them of their s/o? Sometimes their relationship ends up long distance when they need to work in separate places. Galin sends a lot of letters, so many letters. Decord sends a letter for them to get once a week detailing what he’s been doing. They send him enough to get a letter every day. Neither wait to contact the other though. However, Decord will send his letter at the end of the week in order to respond to every letter Galin sent him during the week. How spoiled do they act around their s/o? Alternatively, how much do they spoil their s/o? Galin is SOOOOOOOOO spoiled. But Decord loves spoiling them. Clothes, food, plays, trips. Anything and everything. Of course in turn Galin will try to spoil Decord. It’s just Decord, outside of first edition books and fancy artworks, doesn’t lean towards materialistic things. But he loves to spoil his partner. Do they like the height difference (or lack thereof) between them and their s/o? Do they take advantage of it? They both love the height difference, but Galin sometimes gets frustrated with how much taller Decord is. They can’t just go on their tip toes to kiss him, they have to get him to lean down. And sometimes hugging him at certain angles is a bit awkward. And he doesn't fit in their clothes. BUT Galin is really good at climbing Decord so its fine. Decord absolutely takes advantage of the height difference. Mf loves throwing them onto his shoulder and walking away. Do they get second-hand embarrassment? Or do they join their s/o in whatever crazy ideas they’ve come up with? Alternatively, do they drag their s/o into their wild schemes? Decord suffers secondhand embarrassment frequently, I don’t think Galin knows WHAT that is. Galin absolutely ropes him into their crazy schemes, while Decord goes along with it because he’s painfully down bad for them. Though sometimes Decord will drag Galin into museum heists so there’s that.

The prince looked over their shoulder at the man standing behind them. A ghost, known but unknown, there had been whispers of his presence in the kingdom. Of course, following a particularly high status murder in Fontaine.

"Only if you can't give me a reason not to." His voice was quiet as he stepped forward, accented in a way Galin didn't recognise. Not that they'd ever left their palace to know. Galin turned around, crossing their arms over their chest as they inspected the man.

Dark clothes, silver hair tied back, burns, yellow eyes. He was pretty. "I'm afraid I don't have a good one. Uhm let's see, my kingdom will collapse without my support?" Galin tried, a small smile on their face as they touched their finger to their chin.

The assassin stepped closer, pulling his blade from the holster on his hip. It was pristine, blade etched with millennia old runes. He held it under the prince's chin, lifting their head to him. "Try harder." He whispered, yellow eyes searching Galin's face.

"Is this part of your game? Do you find it fun to scare your victims before killing them?" A red brow raised and the man chuckled, tilting his head to the side. "No you don't seem like the type.. Perhaps you're bored. Or! Or." Galin hummed, ignoring the way the blade dug into their chin. "You don't like your contractor, is that it?"

He smiled, taking a step away, removing the blade from the prince. "You're funny. I'll give you that. And you haven't even called the guards.." He holstered his blade once more. "Yes, I do think I'll let you live. For now. I'll be back, though."

"And I'll look forward to it, stranger."

Again, obvious is his scar. But in general his features are INCREDIBLY defining. The black hair, pale skin, red eyes, and freckles are all a telltale sign of a Baudelaire.

Ohm! Because when nobody else could understand, Ohm did. He knows Ohm would be mad if he knew that Emil looked up to him though.
