A kimaera species; Shudderbug!

Large eye-shaped flashbulbs feature at the center of each wing, which let Shudderbug create camera flashes. They can capture photo and video, making them a common companion for photographers and documentarians.

Meet Maotato!

Meet a kimaera species, Maotato!

Maotato earned their name due to being a cat, emitting sounds akin to "mao"— and farmers kept finding Maotato happily napping buried in the dirt next to potatoes. Each Maotato has a favorite potato, which they toss around like a ball of yarn.

Meet Coalgi!

Meet a kimaera species, Coalgi!

Under their fur, Coalgi have a firm, stonelike body. Their furnace core remains ablaze their entire lives. The tiny clasp on their chests is actually a fifth paw, which guards a direct door to their furnace. They only allow people they trust to fuel them this way.

Meet Furrsurt!

A kimaera species; Furrsurt!

Furrsurt fur is entirely composed of sweet-tasting, edible compounds. Because of this, their ear plumes and joint dollops can be harmlessly trimmed for confectionary uses. Furrsurt plating can be styled painlessly- carvings or reshapings are popular.

A kimaera species; Wittalos!

Light Linking is an ability all Wittalos possess, letting them teleport entities as light through local networks. Certain Wittalos can access the N.E.L.L., a Light Linking network which was built alongside humans in order to cross great distances within Forista.

Meet Stinkindle!

A kimaera species; Stinkindle!

Stinkindle internally produce a liquid similar to lighter fluid. Special organs can ignite the fluid, but much like a wick, the organ only produces flames externally. Stinkindle are able to spray these fluids from their rear or mouth, both ablaze and not.

Meet Nauttox!

A kimaera species; Nauttox!

The venomous tendrils Nauttox host are an entirely different creature- a siphonophore. The tendrils inside their bodies are always moving, so Nauttox often suffer from stomach aches. Thankfully, the tendrils' numbing venom also soothes the host.

Meet Hellbachi!

A kimaera species; Hellbachi!

Able to chew through igneous rock, they use minerals to produce propane within their bodies. Competitive Hellbachi partake in sumo tournaments. The winner takes the title of "Flame King", and must defend it the following year.

Meet Steepy!

A kimaera species; Steepy!

Excess water ingested by Steepy flows into the brewing tanks on their bottom half and becomes tea. By heating their kettle and bowing forward, Steepy share this tea with others. Leaf color correlates to the flavors present in the tea.

A kimaera species; Blipsqueak!

Blipsqueak craft spanners for both utility and combat purposes. Wattage produced within their body is then channeled through the spanner. An average family of healthy Blipsqueak can provide enough energy to power a city for a handful of days.

Present in junkyards, they forage and feed on metal scrap. Antique timepiece collectors dislike Clockroach populations– they’re both after the same resources! Despite the name, Clockroach are actually related more closely to arachnids than cockroaches.

The true bodies of Thrashimi are their tails and heads. The core running between segments are their actual accordion-like midsections. When injured or escaping, they can eject segments– edible, nutritious, and a decoy.

Despite the padded hooves, the punches of an expert can break wooden boards like toothpicks. The less you hear the rattling of the cowbell, the more seasoned the fighter. Professional Moothai tutor other kimaera in their own unique style.

Resembling simplistic dog drawings, Pawppup found their way into our three-dimensional world using their unique type of mind powers. They have an affinity for psionic mischief rather than harm.

A kimaera species; Possnumb!

They produce a gaseous anesthesia that numbs their own battle pain. If heavily wounded, the gas is sent into overdrive– they become so numb that they awaken latent psychic abilities. In combat, they play dead and use decoys.
