Authors note: this is the first fan fiction I have ever written so I apologise if it’s not very good, I’m hoping that the more I write the better I’ll get. Well here goes nothing.

You and David have been friends for years, you both met in college and clicked instantly forming an unbreakable bond, you both connected through mutual interests, you used to go to cons together he would cosplay as the Joker and you as Harley Quinn. There were always rumours going around of you two dating but you both brushed them off never even thinking of each other like that. As the years went by your friendship grew stronger you were both inseparable, his family loved you and you would often go with him back to Alabama during the holidays. You never saw him as more than a friend that was until recently.

It was a typical Saturday night for you guys take out a bottle of wine and whatever board game you both decide to play. David was taking a well earned break from making multiple appearances at various cons where he would do meet and greets and dress up as Art the clown for photo opps.

The conversation flowed effortlessly as you caught each other up with what you guys did that week. After a while you both settled into a comfortable silence which he broke when he asked you “hey do you remember when everyone thought we were dating” “yeah, oh my god that was hilarious” you reply “how come”, “no reason just reminiscing I guess” you sensed there was more to what he was trying to say but he turned away from you, “maybe we should call it a night” he said yawning “yeah good idea but there’s no way I’m letting you drive back considering you’ve got half a bottle of wine in you, you can sleep in the spare room” “thanks Ro” he replies.

You clean up and both head upstairs you start to sense a tension between you that you’ve never noticed before. He stops and looks at you “how come we never talked about being more than friends before”, you swallow not knowing how to answer. There was always a part of you that wondered what if but you were always too scared of ruining the friendship you shared. He continues to look at you, a look you’ve never noticed before. He takes a step towards you closing the gap, the only sound there is of you both breathing looking at each other.

“Dave, if we cross this line there’s no going back” he looks at you “good”.

He pushes you up against the wall your lips crashing together with desperation, all your thoughts turn directly to him, how badly you want him and how long you’ve been longing for this to happen. He pulls away suddenly looking into you eyes his breath heavy, “are you sure about this, is this what you want” he whispers, you look at him and nod “yes, please I need you” he smirks and attaches his lips to your neck, he nips lightly and a small yet involuntary moan escapes from your lips, “please baby I need you” in that moment David picks you up and you wrap your legs around him, you can feel his arousal pressing into you as he carries you over to the bed, David lays you down stands up and looks you over, “Jesus Rose you have no idea how beautiful you are”. You look at him as you feel your heart break for him “hey don’t say that, I should have told you sooner but I was scared that you didn’t see me like that” “trust me babe I do, I do see you, you are everything I have ever wanted please give me the chance to show you that”.

You gently press your lips against his, you can feel him smile as you both mumble I love you’s to each other.

Fuck it, lets ruin the friendship part 2- the next morning

Authors note: Thank you to everyone who read and enjoyed the first part of this series. I hope that you all enjoy this next instalment.Again I apologise if my writing isn’t very good, i’ve always been scared to put my work out there for people to see however that being said I really do hope you enjoy this.

Your eyes squint as the light peeks through the curtains, you can feel his chest rising and falling with each breath, you listen to him snoring softly. Slowly you look up at him trying not to wake him, his face looks relaxed devoid of any worry. You carefully move out of his arms and look around at your clothes just thrown about on the floor, You cant help but smile to yourself as the memories of last night flood your brain. He turns you around and kisses you gently, David pulls away and rests his forehead against yours looking into your eyes “so about last night” he starts “that was definitely something right” he finishes with a smile, you cant help but smile. “David, are we really doing this, I mean this isn’t going to ruin things between us right?” “Yeah, we’re doing this and if you ask me its about damn time, I mean everyone thinks that we’re dating anyway so we might as well confirm their assumptions” he replies. You nod “mm hmm yeah Its the polite thing to do really if you ask me”. 

David looks at you his face turns serious “I love you Rose, I always have” a breath catches in your throat “I love you too” and with that he captures your lips with a kiss, you feel his hands on your waist slightly squeezing at the flesh as he deepens the kiss, your tongues fighting for dominance, he lifts you up onto the counter his lips trailing down to your neck, he keeps trailing kisses further and further down until he reaches the hem of your panties, he hooks his fingers over the hem and starts to pull them down, he does this slowly as he looks up at you with desire burning in his eyes, “fuck Rose you’re amazing” he says his voice husky. Fuck it, let's ruin the friendship. Part 3- first date

Authors note: Finally got some inspiration to write after a two day long depressive episode. This chapter is shorter than the last two but there will be so much more to come. Please enjoy.

You were nervous, today is your first official date with David, sure you’d hung out numerous times over the years but going on an official date together you felt an added nervousness that wasn’t normally there.

You both decided on something more low key so that neither of you felt any added pressure, it was you who had suggested grabbing coffee at a cafe, something you had both done a million times before so there was no reason to be nervous right……right?

David ever the gentleman insisted on picking you up and taking you there. You started getting ready thinking about what to wear, its just a cafe so you can dress somewhat casual. You decide on leggings and your oversized cable knit jumper.

A knock at your door pulls you from your thoughts, you answer the door and see David standing there with that adorable dorky grin on his face “you ready”, he asks, “sure” you reply with a smile. You lock the door behind you and walk towards his car, he gets there first so that he can open the door for you, you get in blushing as he closes the door.

The drive to the cafe was short and when the car had been parked David rushed out so that he could open the door for you, “such a gentleman” you smirk at him and he just laughs in return.

You both walk into the cafe and give the barista your orders, you take out your money ready to pay for your own order but he stops you “put that away I got this” you roll your eyes at him playfully “I can pay for my own you don’t need to do that”, “I know but I want to, I want to be able to treat you” your heart flutters as you smile warmly at him “fine but next time its my turn to pay”, David smirks at you “bold of you to assume there’ll be a next time” then he winks at you and with that you can feel the heat rising up to your cheeks.

You guys take your coffees and sit down at a table in the corner, the conversation flows easily and it makes you wonder why you were ever nervous in the first place everything just seems so natural with him and you cant help but think to yourself why did this take so long. Almost as if David read your mind he says to you “I’m glad we’re finally doing this, I know it took us a while but I’m happy we’re finally here” you cant help yourself you lean forward and kiss him gently, as you pull away he looks into your eyes “I really do love you” he admits, “I love you too” you whisper.

You walk hand in hand back to Davids car and before you have a chance to open the door he gently touches your face and leans in to kiss you, when he pulls away he says “I had a really great time today and if I remember correctly next dates on you right” he winks as he says this, “oh thats awfully bold of you to assume that there’ll even be a second date” you tease repeating his earlier sentiment, David laughs and opens the car door for you “lets go”
