Time Traveling Sith Lords seems like a matter for the Council, so Obi-Wan puts the man's sudden arrival at the Temple out of mind. He has other things to worry about after all: his Trials, for one, and his former Master's stubborn insistence that young Anakin Skywalker must be trained.

Then the Council approaches him, saying that their reluctant darkside guest is specifically asking for him, and in standard fashion, Knight Kenobi finds himself getting into all sorts of terrible trouble without much backup at all.

I actually kind of wanted to hold off on posting the first chapter until I could post the second one as a pair, but the second one is giving me grief, so I decided to go ahead and post the completely rehauled first part to Ad Verecundiam, pls enjoy the giant wall of text.

considering taming the whole awful side of Getula Minor because I actually don’t like making Obi suffer when my brain is being nice and i actually squicked myself out by calling it my ‘whipping boy’ au

which mostly entails making Obi-Wan more resilient to the Unfortunate Things than it does removing the Unfortunate Things

because reasonably Obi-Wan suffers a lot but he is a resilient fuck overall

this is probably my most self-indulgent fic so who knows

debating a title such as “redimere” or “salvificus” for the vaderwan timetraveling fic, but feeling reluctant bc I already have “getula minor”

the interesting thing about redimere and i’m favoring it because it had the original meaning “buy back” and im perverse when it comes to stuff like that

but at the same time “redeemer” BUT WHO IS REDEEMING WHOM

also I’m having thoughts about who will train Anakin

spoilers it might not be Qui-Gon

no im not talking about Obi-Wan either

although Obi-Wan will incidentally be FrownyFace at Anakin’s detractors

I have entirely too much happening in the Viridescent Skies universe

political intrigue and anakin which is always a gr8 combination

the fact that Anakin won’t listen to his padawan who might actually be able to sense some of this

he probably won’t listen to padme either

the Shmi-PoV of when she gets dragged into the Tatooine Wastes that will probably make 90% of you guys scream

also i do want to do a short Obi-Wan PoV on Anakin, possibly involving the scene where Anakin tells Obi-Wan the plan for the next four years, possibly a scene with Yoda.

Hi! I've a couple atypical recs for Star Wars politcal world building themes. First by Vathara, "Shadows in Starlight" to my knowledge only on FFnet. It is a fusion style crossover with Rurouni Kenshin, not overtly political but it's presently there. Nothing specific but several of esama's StarWars fics are excellent with economics and world building. Drat I've forgotten which story had Anakin rattling off various Jedi's market value. I hecking love esama’s work :> my absolute favorite is when old ben comes and lives with obi-wan on bandomeer!!!!!! Given esama, and the fact they’re currently writing fbawtft, it won’t be finished, but i love it so much. I think at one point I checked to see whatever SW fanfics they posted but I wasn’t as into the fandom at the time so I will check again thanks!

I have read reprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ALSO LOVE IT A LOT!! I hope the author is taking it easy since we expected a delay before part 3 but it’s already being posted and i lskjdfklsdfjs;lfjaf GOOD!! Elfpen is another good one about fleshing out the other characters. I am at times iffy about various things, but that falls to personal preference.
