#Danny explains her origins as her being his clone made when he was 14 and Jason has a new Lifelong Grudge against a bitch

Jason was acting strange.

Bruce was worried. It had started when the batfam investigated the hideout of a new gang in Gotham. They had attacked Jason earlier that week with strange weapons, so Batman, Nightwing and Red Hood followed them to a warehouse. They saw the men in white suits with the weapons, several vans and some sort of powersource they called a core. Batman and Nightwing were making a plan when one of the men activated the machine housing the core.

Suddenly Red Hood had gone ballistic! He attacked them recklessly, with much more force than neccesary. Nightwing had to sto him from beating one of them to death! Batman was furious. They left the men for commisioner Gordon and took some evidence to the cave. When they arrived, Jason looked shaken. Bruce wanted to scold him, but the look on Jason's face made him pause. He needed to focus on the case, but he knew he couldn't bring Jason along. So he 'benched' Jason. Thats what the Robins called it, anyway. But someone needed to guard the evidence, they had no idea what this power core even was.

He expected Jason to protest. To insult him to complain. But when Bruce told Jason to look after the core, he instead looked suprised. Really? Jason had asked. Then Jason had told Bruce he could count on him. Red flag number 1. This had confused Bruce, but if it kept Jason from following then it was fine.

Then Jason had started carrying the core everywhere. He held it in his hand, close to his chest. He stayed in the manor, wich was red flag number 2. Damian had caught him talking to the thing numerous times. Alfred had heard Jason in the library, reading a children's book out loud. Tim noticed whenever they discussed the gang of men in white suits that Jason would leave, instead of listening. Dick had even caught Jason singing softly to it! Too many red flags to count.

Bruce was worried about him. He was starting to worry about mind control! But when he had tried to confront Jason, he had cut him off. Jason told Bruce that he knew he had messed up at the warehouse, that he had gone too far. So he was really happy that Bruce had trusted him with this. After that Bruce had been too stunned to say anything about it. But they knew the problem had to be adressed. During dinner, the whole family where going to discuss this matter with Jason.

That was before the core transformed into a glowing, white haired child.

I'd say Danny started growing when he was 16

His ghost form doesn't/hasn't aged though because reasons....

In my mental sinario Dan turned over a new leaf with some help comforting from Jazz and he's 1 or 2+ inches taller than Jazz, like 6"11+

He doesn't have a human identity because he likes staying in the zone more, unless he's looming over amity for some strange reason or visiting Jazz,(Jack or Maddie)

Honestly now that I'm typing it I can see them making time to visit him in the zone

Maybe they feel regret, if they hadn't been so caught up on their ecto experiment and research the portal accident wouldn't have happened, he wouldn't have been so scared to tell them he's part ghost, and they would have had time to notice his school grades were low so he wouldn't have felt he need to cheat

Dani at age 12 is like up to Danny's neck in his original height at age 14, so I'd say she's like 4"10

But when danny has his growth spurt she grows to Danny's original height of 5"5 when she reaches 14

She has a ligit human identity which has been set up by Tucker, Technus and Desiree......, let's say she was at boarding school from 11 and below

Well it does now, she was being taken care of by Vlad (who had made up with the fentons)

He sponsors them now....(these dots are really me just holding back from explaining 😭)

Dani also travels alot (paid by Vlad of course) and she trusted to take care of herself, from her past roaming experience (plus she's a fenton/phantom 💪) she visits when she wants to and on holidays

I'd like to say her obsession is freedom, she can be who she wants to be and not someone she failed to be, (this is also why I think that mind control wouldn't work on her like Danny) which is also why I give her a water core since unbound it can mold into anything

Let's say Vlads ghost obsession was making him crazy, all that time he was alone with that ecto achnee made his obsession seeking out kin someone who'd understand him, aka Danny

Especially when he wanted something but he didn't know what, so he got rich to try to fill the void, and then when he found something that would fill it aka Danny he wanted him to join him

Honestly all that time alone, with his doctors not know what the hell is wrong with him, and him having to figure out his powers blind, his feeling of abandonment from Jack & maddie, the root of the problem being Jack and seeing Jack happily with a family

Made him even crazy

Making him want to steal from Jack, aka wanting Maddie and Danny

(I know I didn't explain this as best as I wanted, but this is not what I came here for)

He gives up the mayor seat to a nice guy who like to drink tea, has a mustache and looks like he gives nice hugs

Anywho as I said he sponsors the fentons who in turn sponsors Amity park with ghost tech, ghost shields in certain places

in the future after canon (beside the whole identity reveal) there should be a Amity park announcement that can pic up different ecto signatures that Maddie and Jack put in like

"ANNOUNCEMENT AMBER IS HAVING A CONCERT IN AMITYS PARK 3RD PARK AT 7PM"

Also what if they have like a GhostGo app (like pokemon go) Let's say Tucker created it and if you see a ghost you can take a picture of them and it'll be added to you own personal database

I imagine Youngblood being rare cause only children and child at heart can see him, but even if they take a picture of where he is he'll still show up blank, but they have the option to draw him

Anyways I can imagine after everyone is grown up Maddie and Jack start traveling to paranormal places to research ghost activity

(I've also have in my headcanon from someone else, that years ago before the portal they went to a event in Gotham to get Bruce Wayne to sponsor them and he laughed in their face)

Reasons why Danny's ghost form isn't aging

Even tho he knows he wont turn evil like Dan there's still some uncertainty mentally that's holding him back, like no one being able to stop him of he turned evil, he doesn't like being strong......

He know he wont be like Dan (which is why his human form is aging to an extent) but in his ghost form there still that lil fear of becoming evil and that's stopping his ghost form from aging and looking like Dan

Like around 18 years old he is crowned crown prince(he was already a prince, but now they're really getting him ready for the throne" and he starts learning about ghost history and kingly stuff, but then he learns that the whole tittle comes with a power boost (I've read a fanfic that does this and loved it) and now that too powerful to stop if he turns evil is slowly creeping up the just a lil 🤏

The more I explain this the more it Branches off into my other mental sinarios I was just trying to tell the height differences......

Well....The whole town is liminal, some more than others and they are sick of the Justice league not taking them seriously and answering their pleas. Like after the whole town went into the zone and they still didn't help, they gave up on them and now hold a strong disgust towards them

I should mention that Danny wanted to be an astronaut, but because of the ecto in his blood he can't so he stuck with being a Nasa engineer (I think they don't need your medical history for that) plus he can fly to space any time he wants

In the zone Dan is called Lord Phantom, older brother of (crown) Prince Phantom, Jazz would be called Princess Jazz, but I don't want the justice league to figure out their identity, like I want it impossible unless they're trusted enough to be told

But once again amitians don't like the justice league so....... she's called High Princess.

18 + 5 = 23/24 when he's with nasa(still dodging being crowned, basically king without the crown, he'll take it soon... maybe that's why the justice league comes knocking [like that one fanfic where all the magic users feel it] after a long time of connecting to Amity park), Jazz would be 25/26 psychologist in Gotham, just meeting or going out with Jason, Dani is traveling places hard to reach, and is in ghost knight training. Don't know what Dan would be doing? Or Sam, Tucker & Valarie would be outside the zone

Anyways the reason for this is because of the recent tall jazz fanfic had my mind running.

........This is posted some days later, I really went off track and didn't even want to post it anymore. I really just came to talk about the heights. The only reason why I finished it is because of another headcanon that formed while I was typing this, which will be in part 2 !

Sooooo…let’s get to one of the meatier posts I’ve been wanting to do! I was considering waiting for My Brother’s Keeper to do this one, but establishing it from the beginning seems like a better idea. Plus, I’ve been on a roll today.

I wanna talk about Danny’s powers.

Or, more specifically, how I see them.

Looong post so it’s going under a cut.

One of the questions that was never really addressed in the show completely is “what exactly is Danny?” They call him half ghost, but that term was invented by a bunch of 14-year-olds. Jack and Maddie had never seen a ghost, and in Doctor’s Disorders, they clearly say that “humans can’t have ghost powers.” Danny’s pretty much unique. The only other half ghost is Vlad.

There are a lot of theories and rewrites and things speculating about what Danny really is. Half dead? What does that mean? Died between worlds, so a corpse possessed by his own spirit? A ghost with the ability to disguise himself as a human? Can he just switch back and forth between being dead and alive?

Personally, I don’t think any of those are right, because by those definitions, Danny’s human half and ghost half shouldn’t be able to exist without each other.

But they can.

Danny’s ghost form can be expunged with the Fenton Ghost Catcher. It’s not a clean break, since neither of these two have the original Danny’s personality, but it shows that the ghost part can be separated from the human part safely, leaving both halves intact aside from, y’know…a bit of identity crisis.

In What You Want and later in Identity Crisis, the Ghost Catcher is used to remove Tucker’s ghost powers and Technus from the house, respectively. In both those instances, there were no traces left. The original was undamaged. Even in the case of Tucker. The ghost powers given by Desiree were removed cleanly and Tucker went right back to normal, none the worse for wear.

If Danny was a corpse possessed by a ghost, using the ghost catcher would’ve left behind just that. A corpse and a ghost who was Danny. If he was a ghost that could disguise himself as human, it likely wouldn’t work at all. He’d still be completely ghost, just with powers that masked him so well that the ghost shield couldn’t stop him. There wouldn’t be anything to remove or leave behind, because he’d just be a ghost. I think switching between dead and alive would have the same result. Danny in ghost form would be completely a ghost, and Danny in human form would be completely human. There wouldn’t be anything to separate there, either.

So, I started thinking about it another way. In what other instances have humans been able to have ghost powers?

There’s when a ghost comes in contact with them and shares their powers (specifically intangibility, invisibility, and possibly flight). This seems to be even more thorough in the case of overshadowing, where humans can fly around quite easily, but can’t pass through ghost shields anymore.

Other instances include Desiree’s wish granting (not just including Tucker, since all of her wishes result in some sort of ghostly entity being left behind), Spectra’s ghost mosquitoes that spread a ghostly disease (one that’ll burn them out and leave them as nothing but withered husks), and, of course, Vlad.

Particularly in the last two cases, gaining ghost powers is related to a ghostly illness. Vlad was blasted with a contaminated ghost portal, and he spent years in the hospital recovering. What’s more, the ecto-acne even returns later in life and almost kills him.

Based on all that, I’d say that ectoplasm is likely very infectious. It can spread quickly and easily, and there are plenty of ghosts that have powers specifically related to infecting things and people with ectoplasm, such as Desiree’s spells.

However, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of information about ghosts and ectoplasm. Jack and Maddie are the world’s leading ghost experts, and even they’d never actually seen a ghost before the start of the show. Clearly, ectoplasm is dangerous, and it probably doesn’t mix well with human DNA. That would explain why Danny’s clones are unstable without the mid-morph sample, and why, apparently, Sam and Tucker would have died in the ghost portal. (Elmer Fudd’s words, but still sensible enough to go with.)

Danny and Jazz were probably exposed to ectoplasm when they were in the womb. Jack and Maddie have messed around with the stuff for at least 20 years. The Fentons have likely built up some resistance to ectoplasm, or already have some of it in their DNA to begin with. As such, Danny was able to survive being blasted with the entirety of the ghost zone at once. Probably barely, but he did, and as such he is now a ghost/human hybrid. A human with a ghost formed around his entire being. Which is why the ectoplasm can’t be harmlessly removed by the Ghost Catcher or something. It’s perfectly formed around his entire being, and if you try to remove it, some of Danny’s consciousness/identity is going to go with it. Ghosts are defined by Maddie as being ectoplasm and post-human consciousness. So, a ghost that is Danny, while Danny is also still human, would take some of his consciousness with it if it was removed.

This also really does make Danny one of a kind. He’s the only one who wasn’t overtaken by or almost killed by his “ecto-infection” in a sense. Ecto-acne is ultimately fatal if untreated. Spectra’s illness would “burn out” the humans, and the human body she made for herself would also burn out in time, which is why she needed Danny’s DNA. The clones eventually melt into ectoplasm, because the combination of ghost DNA and human DNA is unstable, and the mid-morph sample is needed to fix that. Even Desiree’s spells overwrite a person’s personality, similar to being overshadowed, and people who are overshadowed have their will taken over by the ghost possessing them.

This also explains Danny’s seemingly limitless potential. Vlad was blasted by a corrupted portal the size of his face, and his powers developed over time. Danny was blasted by the entire ghost zone at once. He likely will keep discovering more and more new powers as he grows, and at some point he’ll be the most overpowered ghost anywhere. At least, that’s my guess. I mean, look at Evil Danno in TUE. He’s able to take on any opponent with ease, and Danny learns the ghostly wail early and even gains some abilities Evil Danno never did (such as the ice powers.)

Buuuut that’s just my interpretation of things. And I’m fully aware that a lot of this isn’t original. I’ve read Phantom of Truth and Shadow of a Doubt by @haikujitsu, and they describe Danny’s ghost half in a pretty similar way. The stuff about the clones I’ve gleaned from different interpretations across the net, and my sister was the one who pointed out that Danny basically had his DNA infused with ectoplasm from the entirety of the ghost zone and how that would probably make him ridiculously OP.

I just wanted to write down all my thoughts on this, because the debate of what exactly Danny is seems to be a big topic of discussion, even years later.

Plus, on the very, very slim chance “ecto-infection” hasn’t already been coined (or another word doesn’t exist for it), I wanted to use it. It’s what I’ve been using for awhile, so might as well throw that out there. But again, I won’t be surprised if I’m too late to the party on that one.

So, first of all, I am super excited to have found somebody as excited about the clone as I am. I've been thinking about it a lot since Butch posted his video. But, I'm confused, because I thought this was ten years into the future? Wouldn't original Danny be older? Like 24 I think? Aside from that, you guys got some really good ideas about this character, and I've been laughing at some of the comments for a good few minutes.

Which, isunderstandable, everyone has their tastes, and I agree that most ofthem are just…..Put Them Back embodiments, but it was still sad tosee so little interest in the Clone.

Because its such a good idea ripe withpotential, both for TUE levels of darkness and for hilariousscenarios. For once (ONCE) Butch has done okay by me.

And now to actually answer yourquestion, lmao: Yes, you are correct, the original concept was Vladfor ten years into the future, with a teenage Danny clone (I do admitthat’s super squick, like Vlad do you have no other hobbies besidesbeing fucking creepy? Go outside and play some tennis my dude.) sincethe video was a part 2 to the original Phantom concepts for the tenyear anniversary. However, at least in the ideas and concepts I’vebeen talking about and personally throwing around, I’ve gotten rid ofthe ten year span.

Because it literally doesn’t makesense.

I have contempt for the officialPhantom timeline bc its so inconsistent, but a majority of peoplehave it taking place over a two year time span, based on the twosummer episodes. (This is something I personally don’t agree with,but I have no evidence to argue it so I’m stuck like a petulantchild grumbling in the corner) and Vlad gives Valerie her gear in S1Ep10, Shades of Grey. I cannot recall if it was specifically statedin canon Vlad was using her to get Danny’s DNA, but I’m trustingthe wiki bc I really don’t want to endure re-watching Kindred Spiritsand D-Stabalized. If we assume that this had been Vlad’s goal fromthe start (something I disagree with and will touch more aboutbelow), that means that he’s been gathering Danny’s DNA for about ayear to two years if we estimate heavily with the nonsense timebetween the episodes.

In that time span, he figured out howto do the cloning, built the equipment, went through countlessprototypes to figure out all the bumps and snags, made severaldecently “functional” clones (Dani and the one he fucking murdersas a display), made the “perfect” one, and figured out exactlywhat he needed to stabilize an artificial hybrid of ghost and humanorigin.

In two years max.

It would not take him ten fuckin yearsto recreate a successful perfect clone. Even if everything wasdestroyed twice and he lost Valerie’s “assistance”. And thereason for that is because he already knows how. The hard part isdone. Once you know how to do something through so much trial anderror, you know what not to do and what you should do the nexttime around. Vlad doesn’t need to re-figure out how to make astable, perfect clone again, he can just get the equipment, the DNA,whatever and just do it.

Which he was most likely attemptingto already do in D-stabilized.

Why do you think hewas going after Dani? Why would he want that information of “Whyare you so stable?” if he wasn’t trying again? If he wasn’t at thepoint that he NEEDED to stabilize something? For future knowledge?Please. If Vlad was truly going to make another perfect clone, hewould not wait several months after loosing the first doing literallynothing but tormenting Danny and being an ass, nor until after he’sfigured out Dani. He was working on the Clone project for a long timeunder everyone’s noses in the first place, so who’s to say he wasn’tagain?

I’m saying Vlad wasliterally within inches of succeeding in D-stabalized. That healready had a second Clone ready to stabilize.

[Edit: I was incorrect in thinkingVlad only wanted Dani to learn why she’s stable, he wanted to use herto make another perfect clone. I was close, but not close enough. Iam still standing by my theory, however, canon can suck it. It’sstill at least feasible.]

Hartman suggestedin the video, as I’m sure you know, that the Clone (I call himDaniel bc there’s literally no way he’s not namedDaniel.) has some of Vlad in him. And this, my friend, melds so well with where canon dropped off.

Vlad wanted andattempted to stabilize the clones with Danny’s full DNA, probably soit would be 100% Danny, enough to the point he was willing to murderDani to figure her out/use her. However, after failing to get themid-morph from Danny (failure 1) and failing to get anything fromDani (failure 2), Vlad would be unlikely to try the same thingsagain. I would also like to think he’d also be unlikely to continuing to announce “OI I’M CLONEING YOU” to Danny, but it’sVlad so you never know.

He would be forcedto think of something else.

There is nothing incanon suggesting that Vlad couldn’t use his own mid-morph tostabalize a clone. He never brings it up, never explains why themid-morph is the critical link aside from the fact that it just is.There’s very little info about just how these clones are made, sothere’s no known rules to what could work and what wouldn’t. A possible reason this might not work is that it could function likebody parts or blood types, where you need a match in order for it tobe properly accepted. In that case, however, its just figuring outwhat you need to tweak in order to force an acceptance, somethingprobably made easier to do when you’re in control of the entiregenetic sequence you’re fiddling with.

This would not taketen years to do. None of it would. It would take at most, I think ayear. Maybe two, but that’s pushing it. I also have a theorythat Vlad was being so obtuse in Season 3 was to purposefullydistract Danny, but take that as you will.

This is all of myfancy way of explaining why my personal ideas are set so close to theactual canon and kicking that gross ten years to the curb.

As for my forgotten notion about why Idon’t think Vlad started cloning from Valerie’s beginning was becauseVlad was still mostly focused on Maddie up until Maternal Instincts,which occurs 6 episodes after Shades of Grey. Shades of Greyis only three episodes from Bitter Reunions as well.That’s a pretty small amount of time for someone still (reasonably)sane to go “I liked that kid, I want him to be my son. I shouldclone him.”

I’d also like to state that in the fourepisodes Vlad appears in before Kindred Spirits (not including TUE)but after Maternal Instincts, not once is his main goal Danny.Nor is it ever Maddie, either. Danny becomes a factor in MillionDollar Ghost, however his main goal is still stealing the portal. InReign Storm, he’s more inclined to use Danny than to try to make himhis son, bc again: his goal is the artifacts. In Secret Weapons, Vladisn’t even interested in Danny when he’s dropped in the middleof his lab. Tbh, I can’t for the life of me figure out what Vlad’sgoal was in the whole sibling battle thing, he really just fucked hisplans up himself in that one. In Masters of All Time, his goal wasthe cure, and again, had no problems using Danny as a pawn.

Kindred Spirits is the first place inthe entire series where we see the extent of how far he’s willing togo to get Danny to be his son. The first episode where it’s his maingoal.

I just realized how close MaoT andKinSpirits are, I wonder if Vlad triggered the Ectoacne flare workingwith the ectoplasm for the clones? Hmmm, interesting.

Anyway, the point is: Vlad kept hiscloning stuff a secret, but for how long remains a mystery. Mostlybecause there’s no point in time where it becomes obvious just howdesperate he is to have Danny. Is it when he saw an opportunity withValerie? Or is it after Danny ruins his attempts to get the Ring ofRage back from Pariah by blowing up the ectosuit so he was just like“Well fuck, now what do I do to keep myself busy?”

Getting back onto the topic of Cloneand Original Danny, there’s a second, lesser reason I’ve personallybumped the time skip, and that’s because there would be literallyZero conflict between a 14 year old and a 24 year old.

OlderDanny would kick his ass, trainingfrom Vlad be damned.

OlderDanny would also not be fazed asmuch as a younger Danny as his identity being perverted by a clone.This is because the age gap would automatically render them as beingtwo different people. OlderDanny would not see the clone as himself,at least not fully, because he’s already a mature adult. The clonecould not torment Danny with the fact that he’s him, that he’sstealing anything, that he’s threatening his notion of being andsense of self. Because OlderDanny has nothing to fear about a youngerversion of himself; he’s stronger, wiser, and different enough. Thedynamic simply doesn’t work. This is why Danny could be okay withDani: he doesn’t see himself in her. He doesn’t think of her as aclone, as the doppelganger. Because she’s a girl, she’s younger,she’s different. She isn’t him in his eyes.

With an identical copy, that’s notsomething you can avoid or ignore. Can’t deny that its not your facetwisting into that evil smirk that looks so wrong because itsfamiliar but not. Its you, but its not, and its uncomfortable,its an invasion of privacy, the ultimate identity theft. Its a personthat wears your face, sees with your eyes, speaks with your voice,thinks with your brain, and bleeds with your blood. And yet its notyou.

The closest thing Danny had to this wasDan. But Dan could be defeated. Dan could be made so that he neverexisted in the first place, completely avoided.

Daniel could not.

Daniel’s creation is out of Danny’scontrol, his existence never takes into account what Danny wants orcares, because its done at Vlad’s whims. And that’s the worstpart: the lack of control. To know that an identical yet completelywrong version of yourself exists against your will and you haveabsolutely no control over it is torture, especially for someone whoalready had cause to fear himself once before. Sure, Danny can fightDaniel, suck him up into a thermos, and maybe kick it into the ghostzone to try to be rid of him forever, but he would still existand he could always come back. Unlike Dan.  And there’snothing Danny could do about it.

What even could be do? Try todestabilize him? Ask clockwork to erase him from existence? Lock himin a thermos and bury him deep in the ice caps? Kill him?

Would Danny truly be the person to tryany of those?

In other words, the closer Daniel is tobeing like Danny, the worse effect it would have. So its all aboutmaximizing that to get the full potential of the conflict. Dannyneeds a reason to see Daniel’s creation as the ultimate line crossed,the “This has gone too far” moment. Danny needs a reasonto not only despise, but fear his clone.

There are some….problems, with this,and I’ve already used them in my argument: the fact that it another you is too different, you stop seeing it as yourself. AndDaniel is not an identical copy. He has aspects of Vlad in him.There’s a very fine line to be walked, between Daniel being similarenough that it hurts Danny while being different enough to count as adifferent character. The design alone might already doom it. But fuckit, you people can pry my inverted skunk haired baby from my colddead hands.

I realize that this is a very longresponse, and very little of it pertains to what you asked. However,I hope you enjoyed my analysis and my explanation of my personalreasoning. I also realize that a majority of thisask talks about making Daniel Danny’s worst enemy, which goes againstthe “They slowly become bed buds” ask I got earlier. I receivedthat ask before I really had any ideas of what to do with Daniel, andsince I’m loving this worst enemy idea, the conflict isunderstandable. The friend idea is still on the table tho! All itneeds now is a climax, a trigger, a turning point. Something thatchanges the dynamic to start that “I hate you, but not as much as Idid, and I kinda sorta enjoy your company a little bit.” ball a’rollin.
