PANTAYA, the first premium streaming service for Spanish-language films, and Sprint hosted a launch event in Hollywood, CA. Co-hosted by PANTAYA celebrity ambassadors Maite Perroni and Omar Chaparro, the event featured an intimate performance by international superstar Prince Royce, as well as a charity auction – the 1Million Project, an initiative that aims to bridge the digital divide and help close the homework gap for 1 million low-income high school students who lack internet access at home to complete assignments, communicate with their schools, and apply for scholarships.

Stars from Pantelion movies that are featured exclusively on PANTAYA attended the launch event, including Eugenio Derbez (Instructions Not Included), Jacqueline Bracamontes (Un Padre No Tan Padre), Alessandra Rosaldo (Instructions Not Included), Aaron Diaz, Jencarlos Canela, Jose Maria Torre (Mas Negro Que la Noche). Also in attendance were television stars who were excited to support the launch of the new premium streaming platform and the 1 Million Project, such as Danilo Carrerah (La Boda Vida de Estela Carrillo) and Patricia Manterola as well as social media influencer William Valdes.

PANTAYA, a partnership between Lionsgate and Hemisphere Media Group, features the largest and most varied selection of Spanish-language movies on a single platform. The service encompasses blockbusters and critically acclaimed films from Latin America and Hollywood; exclusive and first-run access to all Spanish-language releases from Pantelion Films, a joint venture between Lionsgate and Televisa; and a selection of films that will be available for streaming the same day they premiere in Latin America, a U.S. first.
