"Before I truly answer your question...I need to give you some background information. We, Toons, exist as beings formed from thoughts and Ichor. When we were first created, our minds were more similar to those of animals in a circus. We were taught from the beginning of our creation to the very end of the Center's existance how to act in situations, like tricks one would teach a dog. Our thoughts were more similar to instincts rather than the coherent ones I assume you know. I call this early stage 'the Fog'."

"I have not much memory from this early stage. It's more of a feeling than a clear image, per se. Back on topic, after the Center closed down, Dandy had started experimenting with its energy source, and what we are made of: Ichor. Why he started only then is still something I don't quite understand, my best guess is that he must've been reading some of the files in the staff only rooms. I did find a classified file in his room, a report from the mining team that used to extract Ichor directly from underground, complaining about overlapping thoughts after being exposed to the substance for too long."

"I am still trying to fit the pieces together, but from what I can understand, Dandy must have found out about the Ichor's properties. According to my own studies, Ichor seems to have the ability to give both physical and mental mutations to those who are exposed to it. Ichor is how we, Toons, gained counsciousness. It gave us the capability to think, to feel, and to not only that but also to know that we are thinking, something that we considered a passing familiarity during our Fog."

"I think he wanted to share that new knowledge too, though, at the time, he didn't quite know how much of an impact Ichor could have on one's mind."

"When a person is exposed to too much Ichor, their thoughts will begin to overlap. Their body will start growing, mutating into something unrecognizable. One of the most notable example of this is Astro, most likely the first ever Toon to twist. From my personal studies, the amount of stimuli and information Astro has to intake every second is enough to take up the entire capacity of 107.5 fully developed human brains."

"Dandy, from this...more than unfortunate discovery, must have snapped. His best friend, put in purgatory from his own hands. He had told us how frustrated he was from having been abandoned here, cursed to be forgotten like we were nothing. He let the infection spread. If he was going to be left behind, then he might as well be the worst version of himself. To at least be remembered as something, anything."

So, I recently got Glisten, and he is so fun to play as. So fun to play as in fact that I constantly play distractor on accident! It's so fun (lying)!! Both images are based on a run my friend and I had together with a few randoms in a public server. It was the farthest I've ever gotten and a blast.

You ain't never seen a distractor like meee✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

On the topic of running, here are some doodles of Shrimpo and Pebble getting into conflict. Peb protects his owner, and if that means attacking the only dude who could pummel him in hand-to-hand combat, so be it lol.

Luckily Shrimpo doesn't like getting bit, so Dandy and Pebble get to live another day.

Domestic slice-of-life stuff. I think Shimpo has insomnia but tends to find comfort and sleep in human contact. Toodles has nightmares on occasion and appreciates snuggling when they occur. Glisten isn't the cuddly type, but when the people in his life need comfort, he's willing to put up with the cuddles lol. Also Glisten sleeps with an ungodly number of pillows.

Also, a funny idea I had about how short Shrimpo is compared to Glisten. That's how Glisten sees him lol.

Dandy: "How the F*CK did this happen?!"

Her name is Shimmer, and she's based on an Asian Glass Shrimp (for hopefully obvious reasons). She's a sweet girl who is really really nosy lol. Just imagine Gwen from the movie Migration lol.

Also, no toons have ever created a toon themselves (it's only done if the humans working there made one by using the ichor machines), so Dandy is kinda flabbergasted about the whole thing. Ima leave it up to interpretation how they did it (cuz I have my personal hc that I'll share if people show interest lol) but it's not sexual lol.

Close enough, welcome back Underfell

I wanted to make an edgy AU too after seeing some people do it, I haven't made everyone yet, but I'm working on it. I also don't think I'll finish everyone digitally, I only made Shrimpo and R&D.
