His eyes fluttered open and he was welcome to the sight of a beautiful blue sky. He gave a soft smile and sat up, expecting the twinge in his hip to complain when he did like usual- but it didn't. It gave him pause. Then he realized he didn't have any of his usual pain or tiredness. It was like he was younger again, back when he had less worries. That's odd.
