Twisted -3-
Daeron retired to his room at precisely 8pm. Miss K was kind enough to offer him some night tea, but Daeron refused politely. Instead, he asked for two bottled water and a copy of today’s local newspaper before entering his room and locking the door.
There were only two rooms in this small tavern, one tucked in the back, spacious with a view of the garden, the other small and facing the streets. Daeron opted for the small one, not because he couldn’t afford the spacious one, but he needed the convenience of observing the streets and the villagers passing by.
Daeron wiped away the thin layer of dust on the desk, carefully took the notebook out of his pocket, put down two water bottles, fished out his pills from the backpack, and sat down. He took some time to align the pill bottle and two water bottles perfectly before opening this notebook and began to write.
Daeron had developed the habit of writing his thoughts down since he was ten. His therapist suggested that he used this as an outlet of his emotions, to let your thoughts out, not keeping them in, sweetie. Daeron couldn’t even remember what the kind therapist looked like, but he took her advice. Over the years, his notebook served more than just a dairy, but an anchor to keep him in the reality.
Daeron flipped through the newspaper, its headline reading Expect a hot summer this year and mind your crops! The local issue contained mostly information of weather, farming, back yard sale, farmer’s market or interesting convention a few towns over, advertisements, and so on. The most dubious thing Daeron found in this newspaper was someone called Y asking for a companion to share his large house and look after his cow. No mention of the three bodies flooded out of the swamp just outside of the village.
Daeron was suspended from duty due to his violent behavior towards a murder suspect, so he had lost his privilege of accessing the police database. Still, he followed crime news as best as he could, especially cases involving pre-teen girls. The three bodies that had been flooded out were all skeletons, their flesh gone, but from the height of the skeletons, it was clear that they were all children. Daeron had a hunch that there was more to this cold case than it appeared. That was why he came to Arcadia.
After reading the newspaper for three times and found nothing useful, Daeron sighed and folded the paper back to its original state. He placed the neatly folded paper on the desk and took two pills with water before lying down on his bed.
He stared at the ceiling; the nicely carved mahogany spoke to the history of this place. Not only this tavern, but the whole village seemed to be frozen in the past, in a time when everyone trusted everyone. This place was an ideal image of country life, quiet and friendly, the beauty of nature bringing out the best of humanity.
Or the worst.
Daeron felt his eyelids grew heavier and heavier. He fell asleep with a white farm house and a pair of flirty dark eyes in mind.
May 29th
The village is quieter than I expected. I haven’t met many people yet, but the tavern owner, Miss K, told me that the town square is the place to go to meet new people. I might test my luck there tomorrow.
There was no news about the burial site before my phone died. I will have to use the classic approach and consult the newspaper for further updates. I still think there are more victims than the three bodies flooded out of the mud. My instinct is rarely wrong.
I met a young man Joffrey is He has dark hair He is chatty flirty beautiful
A young man showed me around the village. He lived in the white farm house on the hill. His name is Joffrey.
================================================
Joffrey took another shower after he finished washing the dishes and feeding the dog at the backyard. He changed into a set of cheeky lingerie paired with a silk robe. He switched off all lights in the house and went to the master bedroom.
Master was already in bed, a book in hand with his reading glasses on. He was relaxed and casual, his neat hair brushed back to reveal his unimpressed face. He wore a simple navy-blue T-shirt, rimmed reading glassed hanging dangerously on his nose as he flipped the pages. He looked ordinary at best. An ordinary farmer who lived in the village all his life.
But to Joffrey, Master was nothing but ordinary. Joffrey learned to admire the neatly combed hair, the small crease between his brows, thin lips, grey blue eyes, the narrow jaw, well defined chest and arms, large calloused hands, the hairs on his navel, strong legs, and warm cock. Joffrey shifted at the door way as his panties grew uncomfortably tight. Just imagining Master naked under the sheets was enough to make him whine for attention.
“Come here, good boy.” Master put down the book and smiled at Joffrey, “Don’t ruin the carpet with your slutty juice.”
Joffrey didn’t need to be told twice. He strode to the bed and threw himself at his Master, nuzzling the man’s chest like a clingy cat.
“Did you feed the dog?” Master asked him, parting Joffrey’s robe and brushing against the boy’s pink nipple under the sheer lingerie.
“Yes, Master.” Joffrey shifted on the sheets to give the man more access, “He liked the leftover chicken.”
“Because it is stained with your blood, dear Joffrey.” Master chuckled, grabbing Joffrey’s leaking cock over his panties, “You know my dog shares my taste. I like your blood too.”
Joffrey had cut his finger while preparing for the herbed chicken, and Master forbid him to wash the blood stain away, so they had chicken seasoned with Joffrey’s blood tonight.
“I am all yours, Master.” Joffrey murmured with all the honesty in the world, “My blood, flesh, bones, and soul. You made me, Master. I am your creation.”
The man’s breath caught in his throat. For a fleeting moment, his mask cracked, all his confidence and grace gone, leaving only his core, raw and vulnerable. He kissed Joffrey’s murmuring lips, their breath tangled together like their limbs.
“Can I have your cock tonight, Master?” Joffrey asked, sneaking his hand down to grab the man’s throbbing length, “Please. I haven’t felt you inside of me for so long.”
“It’s only two days.” Master chuckled.
“It’s an eternity.” Joffrey insisted, fluttering his thick lashes seductively, “Please, I need you, Master.”
The man caved in at last. How could he reject his boy, his most precious treasure, his masterpiece?
They made love well into the night, until both of them were so exhausted that they could no longer lift a finger.
“I met someone today.” Joffrey whispered as he began to doze off, his tone relaxed as if he was talking about a stray animal he found in the streets, “A visitor.”
The man hummed, unimpressed as usual.
Joffrey rolled to his side and clung to his Master’s strong arm. He took a deep inhale, letting the man’s distinctive smell invade his nostrils.
“I wonder how long can he hold on?”
“We will see, Joffrey.” Master kissed Joffrey’s forehead, “We will see.”

The Bird Flu: A Modern-Day Plague
The apathy of plagues disintegrates as it reaches groups of people. Over time plagues have been known to wound, damage, and even kill populations. Historical prophets like Moses told people to fight the plague by dipping hyssop in animal blood and smearing blood on the two doorposts and with the blood in the basin to protect the firstborn from dying. Protection from death has come a long way. In 2025, pap smears will endure the efficacy versus effectiveness of vaccines for anyone willing to take them. Since 2003-2024 the WHO reported 954 cases of the human H5N1 virus. In America, there were 70 cases with one death. Egypt had 359 cases and 120 deaths.  Indonesia has had the most with a total of 200 cases and 168 deaths.H5N1, Avian Flu has infected some individuals killing half the number of people infected.
These deaths in other countries due to the bird flu were not mentioned to American society during the time as the news outlets in America projected neoliberalism towards foreign countries.  Corporate advertisements that contain subplots are often made into what major news outlets believe are successful stories.  The devastating effects of death can last for many years. The news of these deaths in other countries was not shared properly because of the potential to go against free markets.
Currently, the bird flu has not yet reached its full plausible future to become highly contagious spreading from person to person. The bird flu virus, H5N1,  is covered in hemagglutinin which clots the blood from the virus to attach to other cells. Also, neuraminidases cleave cells for entrance into the host cell. The bird flu is only lethal to a limited quantity of people not because of technical advancements but due to the virus being in a novel primordial state.  Vaccines exist but are not available to the public. The vaccine named MF59-H5N1 is one of the most successful vaccines. Recently treatments have been tested using CD4+ T cells, induced by vaccination with clade 1 H5N1 A/Vietnam/1194/2004, which positively reacted with the H5 of different clades. The scientist then compared the T cell response to in vitro stimulation with pools of peptides spanning in different regions including H5 A/Vietnam/1194/2004(clade 1), A/Indonesia/5/05 (clade 2.1) and A/duck/Singapore/97 (clade0-like). The immunization produced high frequencies of antigen-specific  CD4+ T cells that increased when applied to booster immunization between the 3 strains tested.  Using the Wilcoxon test to find the mean frequency for cytokines CD4+lymphocytes after the vitro stimulation was good for finding the mean value of each strain of the virus. There is speculation that a vaccine intended for animals may be better for the public than for humans.
The first case of the bird flu was in 1996 and came from a goose in a Hong Kong market in Guangdong Province, China.  The CDC, Centers for Disease Control Prevention, states that some of the severe symptoms of the bird flu in humans include high fever, difficulty breathing, altered consciousness, and seizures. The bird flu is a spherical influenza virus that is also respiratory.  Lawrence Brody, Ph.D.  from the National Human Genome Research Institute explains the lack of DNA in the Influenza makes way for RNA's ability to degrade easily due to the uracil.  RNA inside the genome allows the cell to change which genes are being expressed.  The RNA also contains a sugar ribose which has a hydroxyl group that is polar and forms hydrogen bonds with water resulting in better solubility for the functional group of ribose. When the virus mutates then it will become more transmissible to humans.
As of now in America, the disease is not highly transmissible from person to person. The HPAI A (H5N1) clade 2.3.4.4b viruses were identified in dairy cows and unpasteurized milk samples in the United States in 2021. The CDC, Center for Control Disease Prevention, analysis of the genetic sequence of the virus had a genetic mutation in its PB2 protein that has previously been associated with more efficient virus replication in people and other mammals (i.e., change of PB2 E627K).”  This polymerase within the virus would cause concern because then the RNA within the bird flu would be able to form inside an unfamiliar host. Nevertheless, when the bird flu has a surge, there is a disturbance.
Egg prices are soaring through the stratosphere due to the bird flu causing large amounts of bird deaths at pastors! These prices are staggering, as reported by the United States Department of Agriculture, the average price is $8.03 per dozen. This is an increase from the average price of eggs used to be $3.00 per dozen eggs.   As the bird flu is getting stronger a docile hysteria persists, reckoning that humans consume birds for nutrients. Consuming the bird is an understatement.  According to data compiled in 2016 by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, chicken is the most common meat consumed, with a population of over 22.7 billion. The number of chickens slaughtered per year is greater than livestock such as pigs and cattle. Moreover, the skeletal structures and DNA of the chickens in modern broilers have altered the reality we face today. This essential slaughter affects how diseases spread equating to empathy shared in some countries.

This is fuelled by the increase in livestock production and growing demand for animal protein. With the rise in household income, growing urbanization and changing lifestyle of people in this region, the demand for animal feed and processed meat is increasing. Such growing demand for animal feed boosts the demand for chromatography, spectrometry, immunoassay, flow cytometry and refractometer techniques, further boosting the growth of the Animal Feed Safety Testing market size in the Asia-Pacific region over the forecast period 2022-2030.

Animal Feed Safety Testing Market Drivers
Increasing Outbreak of Food Borne Diseases:
Animal Feed plays an important role in the healthy growth of animals. In the commercial production of animals for milk, meat, eggs or other purposes, healthy meals are necessary for healthy growth and minimum expenditure on diseases. In the United States, expenditure on pet food for 2021 was $103 billion and it continues to rise. Pet food owners spend an average of $329 to $422 per year on pet food. Consumers are more aware of selecting the right pet food and regulatory authority plays an important role in the safety checking of pet food. In July 2022, Piramal Pet Food, Inc. recalled raw frozen Piramal patties for dogs produced by the beef formula because of the possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. In February 2022, Food and Drug Administration investigated a foodborne disease outbreak caused by Listeria monocytogenes. Such increasing foodborne diseases with continuous recall and withdrawal of animal feed fuel the growth of the Animal Feed Safety Testing Industry.
Growing Consumption of Meat and Animal Protein:
The increasing global population increases the demand for nutritional food. Additionally, various meat products by key market players in the market such as McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut and others and the growing consumption of per capita meat help drive the market. As per the latest United States Department of Agriculture Data, red meat and poultry meat consumption are 224.6 pounds per capita in the United States. However, the demand for meat and meat products is higher in China. China is the world’s largest consumer of meat and meat products. People in this country are expected to consume more than 53 million tonnes of pork and 10 million tonnes of beef and veal in 2022, according to the US Department of Agriculture. Such increasing consumption of meat and meat products across the globe creates global demand for healthy animal feed which help to fuel the growth of the Animal Feed Safety Testing Industry over the forecast period 2022-2030.
Animal Feed Safety Testing Market Challenges
Change in Labelling of Animal Feed and Cheaper Alternatives:
Animal Feed is treated with almost the same regulation as human feed owing to the high connection between the commercial production of animals and the rising adoption of pets. With the growing demand for animal and pet food, there is an increasing incidence of food fraud in the market. Labels in the animal feed help consumers to buy healthy feed for their animals and changing the label on animal feed misleads the consumers. Most retailers change the labels of food and sell unhealthy food. Consumption of such feed leads to food-borne disease and at the severe stage, the animal or pet dies. In August 2021, more than 100 dogs died and 220 pets got illnesses linked to the consumption of pet food made by Midwestern. The investigation reports showed that SPORTMiX brand dry dog food was responsible for deaths and illnesses in dogs. Samples of SPORTMiX were found to contain levels of aflatoxin as high as 558 parts per billion (ppb). The FDA considers pet food to be contaminated if it contains more than 20 ppb of aflatoxin. Such contamination, adulteration and pet food fraud hamper market growth over the forecast period 2022-2030.

How To Identify Analogue Paneer?
As nutrition and health could be impacted, it is important to understand if you are eating real paneer or fake analogue paneer
If you come across outlets that sell paneer food items at unbelievably low prices, it is possible that they could be using analogue paneer. Some items that are likely to be using analogue paneer include affordably priced paneer paratha, paneer roll, paneer pakoda, etc. To better understand what is analogue paneer and its impact on health, let us discuss the matter in detail.
What is analogue paneer?
As per FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India), analogue paneer is classified as a non-dairy item. Even though such products are allowed to use the term 'paneer'. It essentially means that analogue paneer is a derivative of plant-based sources such as vegetable oil and vegetable protein. These can be used for making analogue paneer as well as other non-dairy items such as analogue cheese and analogue cream.
Is analogue paneer legal to manufacture?
Yes, it is completely legal to manufacture analogue paneer as per FSSAI standards. However, analogue paneer manufacturers need to follow the relevant rules and regulations. For example, the packet must clearly mention analogue paneer. The labelling can also vary depending on the ratio of materials used in the analogue paneer. If there is partial replacement of milk fat / milk protein, the packet must provide the details of the constituent used and its sources.
For example, the packet must mention - Contains soy protein / Contains mixed vegetable fat. Similarly, if the analogue paneer is made completely from non-dairy sources, the packet must clearly mention - Contains no milk fat / Contains no milk protein. Or 'Contains no milk fat or protein'. In case of analogue cheese, the packet should mention Analogue -1.6.5. For analogue cream, the packet must mention Analogue -1.4.4.
How to identify fake analogue paneer?
If you are buying FSSAI-approved branded products, you should be able to see the appropriate labelling on the packet. It will tell you whether the paneer is derived from dairy sources or made from vegetable oil and vegetable protein (example - soy protein). You can then decide whether you want the real dairy-based paneer or the analogue paneer.
However, the problem occurs when the market is flooded with locally produced analogue paneer. These firms often do not have any license to produce analogue paneer. And it is difficult to determine the quality of such analogue paneer. These manufacturers supply in bulk to local restaurants, eateries and shops, often without any proper labelling. This makes it difficult for consumers to understand what they are eating or buying.
If you suspect any store-bought item to be analogue paneer, you can test it easily in your home. Here are some methods you can use.
1). Hot water test - To identify analogue paneer, place a piece of the paneer in hot water for 5-10 minutes. The fake analogue paneer will turn soft and slimy and start breaking apart. In comparison, real dairy-based paneer will stay soft and firm.
2). Iodine test - An antiseptic, iodine is easily available at pharmacies. It reacts to starch, resulting in blue/black color. Analogue paneer often has starch and can be detected with iodine solution. In comparison real paneer will not change color when you put a few drops of iodine on it.
3). Texture test - Real dairy-based paneer will be crumbly and slightly grainy. In comparison, analogue paneer can be rubbery, too smooth or too hard.
4). Smell and taste test - Real dairy-based paneer will smell similar to milk. In comparison, analogue paneer may feel plastic-like and will not have any milk smell or flavor.
5). Frying test - Real dairy-based paneer will turn light golden-brown during frying. In comparison, analogue paneer will melt easily or burn quickly.
It is recommended that you share this information with your family and friends. Because not many people are aware about analogue paneer. Consuming unbranded / unlicensed analogue paneer or fake paneer can be dangerous for your health.
