“Liar!”
“Thief! “Hello, murderer”
“Sinner”
Those are just examples of names we are called everyday. It is not new that people around us only see what we did wrong, out of all the good things we did. No matter how much we try, people will always count our mistakes.Â
We all have pasts that we are not proud of, and we have shortcomings that we try very hard to hide. Yet the people around us will try to use these mistakes to shame us, and sometimes to prove that they are better than us.Â
All of these wretched schemes are from the devil. The devil will always use our pasts to steer us away from seeing the forgiveness that Jesus bought by His blood for us. The enemy wants to remind us of our sins because he knows that these are our weaknesses and we can easily be snatched away from God’s grace through attacking our mind.Â
However, God is a loving God. He doesn’t want to count all of our sins because His wrath was poured out on Jesus when He hung on the cross for our sake. Even if the devil knows our name, he calls us by our sins, but God knows all of our shortcomings; our sins; and our past, yet He will still call us by our name.Â
Jesus will never count our sins anymore because He already died for us. The black smoke that is circling inside us, is now washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. He will not call us by our sins because it was already hanged on the cross together with Him, instead He will call us His— we are all His.Â
“Jane, my child”
“Robert, my beloved”
“You are redeemed, Rose”
