Revue ciné : Altered Carbon Resleeved Appréciation : passable Netflix – animation L'Histoire : Un mercenaire en enveloppe de combattant doit protéger la vie d'une tatoueuse d'un clan Yakusa contre des assassins ninjas suréquipés. Il sera rejoint et épaulé par un officier du C-TAC (brigade d'intervention d'élite du Protectorat des Nations unies). Avec Dai Sato (Cowboy Bebopp, Ghost in the Shell : Stand Alone Complex) aux commandes, l'offre était alléchante mais... au final on se retrouve avec des graphismes 3D cell-shadé digne du jeu TellTales Wolf umong Us. Attention, jeu excellent, mais ce qui fonctionne très bien dans ce point-and-clic est vilain en animation. Deuxième écueil, toute l'histoire se passe à l'intérieur d'un hôtel appartenant à une grande famille de Yakusa et nos protagonistes s'y baladent comme des touristes, tuent sans être plus que ça inquiétés. C'est du cyberpunk sans gardes et sans vidéo surveillance ! Cool ! Sur le fond, Dai Sato revisite l'éternelle question de l'honneur du Samouraï dans un univers où la mort n'est plus nécessaire. Ce sera la seule question philosophique traitée dans cet univers. En conclusion : Un fond déjà vu. Une animation assez grossière. Quelques combats sanglants. Pas terrible dans l'ensemble. Netflix revealed the director and the spring 2020 worldwide debut for Altered Carbon: Resleeved "anime feature" spinoff on Wednesday. Jō Nakajima is directing the anime at Anima.⁣ Netflix also revealed two new stills for the anime.⁣ ⁣ The series is based on Netflix's live-action science-fiction series of the same name. From the Archive - GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX ... And, how I got to design the Laughing Man. From the mid to late 90s, I had been designing for a Japanese game developer and music label, Frognation. At the time, I had and sent the guys in the Tokyo office a load of Prototype 21 stickers, which were liberally plastered around. P21 was a clothing label I designed for from 1992 to 2002.  Dai Sato, one of the guys at Frognation, was also a scriptwriter at Production I.G. and had been working on early drafts for the animated TV series of Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex.  With his laptop being covered in P21 stickers then admired by the director of Stand Alone Complex, Kenji Kamiyama, one thing led to another. I was sent a brief and invited to submit designs for the Laughing Man, a hacker central to the storyline.   For this Laughing Man, it was the first time Production IG had chosen to work with a non-Japanese creative.
