In Damo, the brother never finds out because they both die at the end. She stabs and kills him - he's an outlaw and he's killed the man she loves, and then she gets shot with an arrow.

Seeing Kim Min Joon in Lady Durian, still scrumptious and built like a house 20 years after Damo reminded me of how much I loved my very first sageuk. All of you who enjoy or loathe my period drama posts have Damo to thank or blame. I watched it and went OMG WHAT IS THIS AND IS THERE MOREEEE?

Ha Ji Won as tough, still and tormented Chae Ok, Lee Seo Jin as honorable, intense and tormented Commander and Kim Min Joon as wild, rage filled and…yup…tormented rebel leader and conspiracies and tragedy and so much unspoken hopeless yearning ending in an ending that is notoriously bleak by the standards of the genre. What’s not to adore?
