Heyo! Guess what gem I found at my local bookstore…

This is honestly one of my most favorite comic series of all time, the fantasy elements and the sci fi mixed is honestly just so cool and the art is absolutely beautiful!! Like the colors, holy moly dude

The characters are actually really realistic (Jasper my beloved) Well, as far as being a neoalchemist, or a werewolf and stuff is realistic - but somehow Sage manages to do it) and their dynamics are absolute gold (I love Rachel and Hyde being besties it’s honestly so good even if Hyde’s kind of an ass most of the time)

I myself (unfortunately) only divorced The Glass Scientists in like November of last year and when I saw that the physical copy was released I was like “wow I gotta order it!” And then I went to the comic-bookstore and GUESS WHAT

Basically what I’m trying to say is please check out The Glass Scientists by Sage Cotugno and please buy the physical book, and please check your very own local bookstore because it might just be there! Okay. Deep breath. Holy moly. Alright. Guess what, my friend? You just opened Pandora's box. You asked for spare details but I'm about to ramble for DAYS. Nima's got a full history and backstory (b/c I'm obsessive about this kind of stuff) that I haven't been able to explore in the story to the degree I want SO NOW YOU GOTTA SUFFER THROUGH PARAGRAPHS OF INFORMATION.

Just swear to me that you'll send me the finished result because I neeeeeeed it. You think I'm insane and feral now? Just you wait. Okay. Now, info dump waiting below.

So mentally the closest face claim I have for Nima would be the actress Seo Ye Ji (as in if Nima got to ever see the silver screen that's exactly who I would want hired to play her lol).

Nima is pretty average in height, and she's built firm. Not a body builder by any means, but you can see the strength in her arms and shoulders from the multiple years of working in a garage doing heavy lifting and being hands on. Her skin tone is a more pastel shade of pink, like a soft bubble gum pink, but her lekku both have a sprinkling of freckles all over them in a darker shade of pink. Her eyes are a dark brown, and she has freckles across the bridge of her nose and on her cheekbones that match the ones on her lekku.

Nima has no tattoos or piercings, she's terrified of needles. Markings of note though, she has a collection of scars along her arms (burns and cuts) from her work. Nima has a bad habit of getting excited when working on a project she's excited about and in her excitement she'll forget to wear gloves or cover her arms in the proper gear.

When she's working, Nima wears a pair of navy mechanic coveralls to protect her skin when doing more dangerous work, but as said previously, Nima has a bad habit of shrugging out of the upper half to tie the arms around her waist leaving her in either a plain tank top or sports bra. She does it to cool off, but often forgets to zip the upper body part back up before getting back to work. While on the job, there are three things she always has on her: a pair of work goggles either resting on her forehead or hanging around her neck, an old pair of work gloves she's kept forever despite their disrepair, and a matching set of dark brown work boots. All three were gifts from her father when she got her first job as a mechanic.

When Nima's not working, her style is all over the place. She prefers pants and shorts to dresses and skirts and tends to lean toward large, loose fitting t-shirts that she'll tuck into high waist shorts or pants. But, she's also a big fan of oversized hoodies, cardigans, and flannels for when the weather gets cooler.

DUDE! YOU LIKE THE ARCANA TOO?!- oops excuse the screaming hahaaaa, but fr I did not know! Because I've just gotten into to it like a few weeks ago and I've been hype about it the whole time since!

Oh! First I see Asra, (a steamounk version, by the gods they're awesome!) and I'm like wait a minuteeeee, this drawing style looks so familiar and I look to who owns it and BOOM! I see your name, and then when I scroll down I see more Arcana content!

One more thing too who's your favourite Arcana romance route? (I'm really lost between muriel, julian and lucio- though lucio is in the lead currently, I ❤ the goatman seriously)

YEAH I DO!! Ahaha my bean tbh can I tell you the truth? It was the fact I saw that you liked Arcana that helped spur the idea of me coming back to tumblr to show it off. I’ve liked it since April last year, I also got on the band wagon a little late xD  

The Asra Steampunk I made a while back too I really liked Steampunk stuff and I had seen a lot of neat AUs for Arcana floating around. Figured I’d try my hand at it but it never got further then just Asra haha.  My favorite route?? Mmm ( I still havent finished Portia and Muriel’s) technically I like all of them and its hard to choose. But Asra’s reactions in the other’s routes just hits me in the heart especially with everything he has been through.  Yeah! Helios is a they/them you got it right! They have a huge backstory wrapped around their pre-death career which is an Aerialist from a travelling circus <- minus the animals and ringmasters. Their entire family is acrobats and work together as a team, its really cool to watch! I plan on getting more of them up and around and hopefully more Arcana art too. Thanks Munbanz~!

This blog (and my presence in social media in general) was made to share my work with the world, but most importantly, to spread positivity.

Holy moly, it’s been roughly about a year since I started writing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fanfic! To celebrate, I wanted to write something fun and season appropiate, but writer’s block has been plaguing me until very recently. However, I managed to write a short thing, partially inspired by the art from @cookieekun I’ve been seeing on my dash recently, partially because I wanted to write something about Strelok’s group that wasn’t heavy with angst.

The early days

It was cold. Cold beyond words. His breath flared like a cloud of smoke, quickly freezing in the air, and Strelok looked at Ghost’s scarf with longing. It was tattered and it smelled like wet dog, but at least it was warm. And Fang had the gas mask protecting his face from the chilled winds, lucky bastard.

“Are you going to admit you’re lost?” Ghost asked him from behind his woolly scarf.

“For the last time, I’m not lost!” Strelok replied. “This is a shortcut.”

“It would be great if it was a shortcut to somewhere warm, my balls have turned into ice cubes.”

Strelok could believe that. He was pretty sure his own blood was slowly freezing inside his veins.

"Well I'm not gonna help you warm them." His silly comment made Ghost snort and then start laughing.

“I feel like I’m walking inside a f-fridge guys,” Fang piped up after a long suffering sigh. “C-can we camp for the night?”

There was still a good hour of light, even with the dark clouds rolling by from the north. But they were all freezing, so the idea was received with enthusiasm. However, it's not so easy to find shelter in the middle of the wilderness, unless you're ready to settle for sleeping under a tree. So they grudgingly backtracked their steps until fifteen minutes later they reached their destination.

The building was literally lost in the woods, away from any reminder of civilization. It was similar to the farm in Cordon, but smaller. Most importantly, it would keep them safe from the cold.

"Gather everything that looks remotely flammable," Fang asked them.

Invigorated at the prospect of a bonfire, Strelok started picking up all the twigs he saw, no matter how painfully thin they were. Ghost hollered in triumph and showed them a dented can that could be a gasoline container. And Fang disappeared behind the building, only to come back not much later empty handed.

"Hope that will be enough," Fang sounded doubtful, which was no surprise since their bounty was ridiculously poor.

"It will suffice," Ghost assured him.

Strelok agreed with Fang. Ghost was either over-confident in their ability to keep a fire going or delusional.

The inside of the building was pitch dark. Anything could be lurking there. Fang's flashlight swiped across empty spaces and dirty floors. One high pitched squeal later, something bulky and running on all fours charged towards them. Strelok quickly jumped to the side, dropping the wood in the process, but the boar bowled over Ghost and threw him to the ground. Fang cursed and tried to get his weapon without dropping the flashlight, but he was still fumbling when the boar was already long gone.

Good riddance to it, although it was a shame they hadn’t killed it. Strelok could go for a dinner of roasted boar, much better than their sad and stale rations.

"Shit!" Ghost stood up, pressing his hand against his thigh. "The son of a bitch got me good."

Both Strelok and Fang crowded him, worried by the bleeding. The wavering light of Fang’s flashlight was enough to see the rivulets of red flowing through Ghost’s fingers, and this was not a promising development. Ghost moved the hand away just a little bit, enough to see where the boar had gored him, and blood quickly gushed out and covered his whole hand.

“Punctured artery, most likely,” Fang commented. The slight trembling in his voice was most assuredly not from the cold.

Opening a medkit, a simple and fairly brief action, took Strelok several tries as the damned thing would. not. open. In the end he tore the package open with his teeth, spilling the contents of the medkit all over the floor.  The flashlight was shoved into Ghost’s free hand as Fang rushed to help Strelok gather back the scattered medical supplies. And when they got it all and were ready to treat his injury, Ghost put his and away revealing an already closing wound.

A chorus of “The fuck?” and “No way dude!” ensued. However, despite their collective disbelief, the flesh was mending right before their eyes, almost too slowly to see it clearly.

“That’s... kinda freaky,” Fang said with a pinched look.

Strelok made a noise of agreement and carefully poked the edges of the injury. Felt good as new.  “Freaky but cool. And useful!”

“This suit is like having superpowers,” Ghost said with a goofy grin. “I’m like the Zone’s Superman now!”

Fang snorted in amusement and soon they all were laughing, letting go of the tension of just a minute ago. It felt good.

Afterwards, Fang managed to start a fire with the remnants of gasoline left on the salvaged can and the wood twigs. It was a small fire, but to them it was Heaven on earth, warm and cosy in the dark building. Huddled together around the flames they ate their rations, hard bread and sausages so could they could be frozen.

“Do you think the suit only works when worn?” Ghost asked absently. “Or could I heal someone by touching them? How much contact would be needed?”

“I have an idea to know if –”

“NO!” both of Strelok’s friends cut him off.

“I’m vetoing the idea,” Fang told him, “if it’s like your ideas to test artifact properties surely it will involve jumping off of a bridge or something like that.”

Strelok stared at them with a devilish smirk. Not all of his ideas were crazy like that, he could come up with something reasonable if he wanted. It was just that it was fun to watch their horrified faces when he pitched forward his most wild plans.

“I think it’s snowing,” Ghost announced just then, looking at the quickly darkening strip of sky visible from the broken window in front of them.

Strelok groaned in dismay. He hoped it wouldn’t snow much, marching through the woods in the snow was a nightmare. Last time his feet had become so numb he was sure he’d have to amputate one of the fingers.

LOS ANGELES

I feel like I haven’t updated this in forever. Like, two months. I went to fucking LA though and had one of the best trips of my life. And I’m going to write all about it here. 

So on February 15th, a Wednesday, Tori and I get a text from Austin in our group message asking us to come with them to LA the next day. The original plan was for just them two to go, but at the last minute they extended the invitation to us. It was SO last minute. Initially I was like, nah I can’t go. I’ll miss too much class and I need to do too many things. But as the night went on, it became more realistic as I thought of all the things I would need to get into order and how it could be plausible!

That night, there was an event called Jumprope for Heart that the ambassadors volunteered at. There, me and Tori and Dylan talked about the trip. Tori said that she’d go if I went, which made me like low-key excited. Nothing had happened with her since my last post besides just kind of hanging out sometimes with everyone and making jokes about the whole ordeal. We started kind of just talking about it openly. 

Anyway, by the end of the night it was set. We were going to leave for LA the next day. I spent all night finishing a lab and trying to get a tour covered and packing, and the next day we left around 5pm. Which was way later than originally planned, but whatever. The car ride there was actually not bad. It took about 10 hours. It was kind of funny cause no one even asked me/expected me to drive. Maybe it’s cause I’m Asian.

Wait, fuck, have i even talked about Austin in this blog yet? No I haven’t. I’ll make a post on him later. He is Dylan’s new boyfriend and he’s literally perfect and I love him more than I love Dylan. TBH. 

We arrived at Austin’s house at around 3am. It was HUGE and so freaking NICE. Austin took Tori and I upstairs and showed us our room and bed, which we would be sharing (this also excited me. was I going to get some lesbian action or what!?)

The next day we kind of bummed around. It was nice though cause Austin’s parents bought us all this food in the freezer and we were able to just hang out and nap.
