in the 1991-92 ver, launchpad had to have gotten the knowledge in what I call the Fanfic Gap in the time between the explosion and drake adopting gosalyn. Launchpad had to have known that Drake Mallard and not Darkwing Duck was adopting Gosalyn and crashed the car there accordingly. drake trusted launchpad with his identity.
then in 2017 launchpad inspired drake to take on the mantle. of course ppl working on the movie knew Drake mallard (by name) had DW’s role, but not many people actually took the time to get to know KNOW drake mallard like Launchpad did you know?
