#DR!Moomore

It's only now that I've realized that I tend to give Dal some type of martial artist/rpg brawler outfit whenever he's in a setting with lots of fights. Or at the very least I gravitate toward the idea, with the alternate option being clothes that scream 'healer.'

I mean just look at Moomore here; he's a brawler in the Dark World of Deltarune, and gives off that same vibe in the Team Evoke AU. Not 100% on the latter 'fit, but maybe one day I'll get there.

...And to answer DR!Moomore's question, Evoke!Moomore is indeed a mixed attacker, but he initially relies on physical attacks until he gets the hang of using magic.

This could just be because I've been rewatching a bunch of comic dubs and reading some oldie-but-goodie fanfics, but I had the urge to draw Undertale/Deltarune Dal once more, this time as a cow thing instead of a human! Let's call him "Moomore"! :D

I wanted his monster form to be a bit… more than just "anthro = monster," I guess? Just a little. A pinch. A dragon was kinda eh, a fuzzy armadillo with faint bug features was cute but odd to draw, and a sheep was too close to the Dreemurr family to work (plus I'm using a sheep as a form for a different world…), sooo I went with a cow! A cow with a dugong's tail!

…Get it? 'cause dugongs are also called "sea cows"?

…Yeah don't worry I'm seeing myself out, but I figure at least Sans would get a kick out of being friends with a living pun XD

Couple of extra tibits!

He doesn't wear pants, and he hates this. The reason why is because of how thick his tail is. Sure, there's pants out there for monsters with tails, but he could never find even one pair that fit him. He's saving up his G for some custom pairs.

In Undertale, he has considered joining the Royal Guard, but never auditions because he already knows he could never raise a hand against anyone, human or monster. Unless they pushed him to his breaking point, of course…

He's a friend of Shyren, and did his best to comfort her after her sister had fallen down. After Alphys claims that Shyren's sister is alive but never sends her home, Dal goes to Alphys' lab to confront the royal scientist. Alphys never opens the door no matter how many times he comes by, so he eventually gives up.

He nearly has a heart(SOUL?) attack upon meeting Lemon Bread.

In Deltarune, he's one of Berdly's rivals in a generic online multiplayer game. Since Dal only talks to other players through text instead of voicecall, neither of them know who the other really is or that they both live in the same town.

He finds Berdly in the library in the aftermath of the Snowgrave route.

One headcanon is that all monster (and possibly human) children wear stripes until adulthood. Dunno if I'm gonna use that headcanon on both Monster and Human Dal once I decide his age in this AU, but for now he wears stripes simply because they look nice on him =w=

Brushes aside, Dark World!Moomore was fun to color. Probably because the Dark World brightens most characters' color palettes; I've always drifted toward dark and dull colors for Dal, so this was a neat little challenge.

Pretty sure he'd be less concerned about ending up in what's basically a cooler version of Narnia, and more focused on the fact that HE'S GOT PANTS NOW. AND THEY FIT HIM!! :D

Too bad they don't come back to the Light World with him :'D

No idea how he'd even discover the Dark World in the first place, especially since I haven't decided how old he'll be in both UT and DR. Maybe he's an adult in the former and a teen in the latter? This'll take a while for me to decide on…
