Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF)
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) was founded in 2012 and established in 2016 to carry forward the legacy of Late Shri Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, lovingly known as Dadasaheb Phalke – The Father of Indian Cinema. It is India’s only independent international film festival, with a mission to celebrate the work of aspiring, young, independent & professional filmmakers.
The aim is to honour the lifetime effort of Shri Dadasaheb Phalke ji and so, the festival celebrates the brilliance of the Indian film industry by making an effort to acknowledge and aid nascent projects by bringing them to mainstream audiences. DPIFF is a unique initiative intended to honour the Entertainment Industry and to appreciate creativity in the spectacular world of cinema. It honours all three prodigious segments - the Indian Film Industry, Indian Television Industry & International Film Fraternity - under the same roof.
The ceremony is a vibrant showcase of India's rich cultural diversity and its deep-seated heritage. It brings to the forefront the world-renowned Indian cuisine, traditional folk dances, captivating folk music, exquisite handloom textiles, and the inherent beauty of Swadeshi or indigenous craftsmanship. India, as an ancient nation with a youthful and innovative population, possesses a wealth of ideas, talent, and opportunities waiting to be explored.
Over the years, India has undergone a significant transformation, becoming a role model for inclusive development. Mumbai, Maharashtra, June 12: The next edition of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, has been officially announced. The ceremony will take place on 20th February 2025 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The grand ceremony shall witness the presence of Celebrities, Government Delegates, Media Personnel and Industry Leaders.
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) was founded in 2012 and established in 2016 to carry forward the legacy of Late Shri Dhundiraj Govind Phalke, also lovingly known as Dadasaheb Phalke – The Father of Indian Cinema. The festival celebrates and recognizes the brilliance of the silver screen, India’s vast and magnetic Cinematic heritage and the ever-evolving cultural impact that India continues to make on a global scale, primarily through the medium of cinema.
The grand gala of the 2024 edition was full of memorable moments as the occasion was attended by luminaries like Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Nayanthara and Vidhu Vinod Chopra amongst many others. It was a glorious culmination of creative endeavours with Cinematic Tourism as the theme. New Delhi [India], August 2: Abhishek Mishra, CEO of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) as young & budding entrepreneur was invited over high tea at the highest constitutional office. President Murmu ensured her blessings and best wishes for DPIFF 2024.

This Festival has grown over the years and has received engaging responses from film connoisseurs and enthusiasts from all over the world. DPIFF has developed into one of the most significant and remarkable film festivals from Asia and is an annual celebration for film fraternity as well as cinema enthusiasts. I am sure that the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 will inspire film-makers and various stakeholders to take art of communication and entertainment through cinema to higher levels of excellence.”

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023 celebrated the grandeur of cinema with resounding success on the 20th of February 2023. The ceremony felicitated the best creative minds in the Film and Television industry, paying homage to the craft of filmmaking pioneered in India by Dadasaheb Phalke. The grand gala was full of memorable moments and was attended by luminaries like Alia Bhatt, Rekha, Hariharan, Varun Dhawan, Vidya Balan, Udit Narayan, Rishab Shetty, Sachet Parampara, Neeti Mohan, R.
