I hate Dark Knight Dark City with every fiber of my being but still I’d like to imagine if Ed got into a similar situation and the amount of guilt he’d experience after a demon fucked off, how hard it would be to live with himself. Even if he knew he was possessed... he still has all the memories and cannot look at himself knowing it was his body which did such atrocities. Of course, though... while I actually tend to write a lot about religious experiences -- especially ones that are similar to or resemble Christianity... I don’t really like to write about things that confirm the existence of a religion. I usually like it to be more vague/you don’t really know if it’s real or not, or to imply the religion is all in a character’s head.

  HEY......SO The big question.... WHAT IS Nithreiel exactly?-- the short answer is: I don’t know. No one does, exactly. Long answer?  An abomination. Sort of.  What she is, is Unstable. She’s comprised of the soul of an elf, the newly sparked (ha) powers of a mage, and an unrealized spirit (meaning: it doesn’t even have a purpose yet; a set nature to make it something Specific like Knowledge, Compassion, or Justice). What she is, isn’t Nithreiel Vahana (a soul), magic, nor the spirit that entered her body as she lay dying. It’s SomeThing entirely new. It’s made up of all those things, but also not..?   And some stray thoughts.... - The magic in her was already unstable, so new to her that it was still JUST trying to get a foothold in her.  - The spirit was New (as far as spirits go), and purposeless, and could easily have become a demon. It could have been morphed into anything upon entering her body, not only because of the unstable magic, but because Nithreiel was a person like any other. It was sheer luck on the spirits behalf that she wasn’t particularly prone to negative thoughts and emotions. She was a happy person, generally, despite the situation that lead the spirit to connect with her. - The breach itself probably played a role in her creation tbqh?  That much raw energy exploding from the fade was bound to make an impact on any spirits outside the veil. That, and I imagine the newly formed rifts everywhere (one could have been nearby?) would have disrupted quite a LOT of things... magic and spirits alike.
