yessssss!!!!! reader was so eager to prevent her drunk husband from ruining the realm that she ended up having a blind spot.....which was how much aemond was obsessed with her. 😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏 in this headcanon of mines, halaena's son is still alive because of reader not letting her guard down.

so, part 2 on the humiliation arc.

she did not believe it. how on earth could she have missed it?! she thought that she had planned everything carefully, that the realm might somewhat stabilised. and yet, there she was. clad with a red veil and gown; the colours of her culture. aemond wanted the wedding to be extravagant. but she wanted the wedding to be small, intimate and private; considering how the realm was on a brink of collapse.

it was supposed to be a joyous occasion and yet, she felt nothing but complete and utter emptiness. especially, when the ladies of the court whispered amongst themselves.

"her?!"

"let her. a kinslayer and a dirty small folk of a peasant!" one of them spat.

she married aegon due to her father's foolishness and arrogance, which almost cost him his allies. her clan, whether she liked it or not, needed allies. hence, her alliance with the greens. especially, when the second son rode the largest dragon in the world.

"you look as if you are grieving, my lady wife," he noted, as he leaned back on his chair in that smug and arrogant manner of his.

"there is nothing to celebrate about. we are about to enter a war and yet, here you are, being arrogant as fuck," she hissed.

"in these times, you need to show strength," he countered.

"no! in these times, you need to show restraint!" she hissed.

aemond chuckled in that infuriating manner of his. how she wished to deck that smug bastard's face of his.

"you really are a fool," he replied in that silky voice of his.

"and you really are arrogant! and that arrogance will kill you, someday, my prince!" she hissed.

"regent," corrected aemond.

she snorted. "let me put this clear, your highness, i would rather clean spilled inks than blood!" she snarled, baring her teeth.

she then added, "you have no idea the pains of war!"

instead of feeling threatened, aemond only smiled. but it wasn't the kind of smile that did not reach his eye. no. it was the kind of smile that appeared to be a bit.....gentle.

"you know i have always loved your spirit, my lady. especially after what you did to my brother," he replied smoothly, reaching out to tuck her hair.

she sniffed and pulled away. "he was harassing my servant!"

"and, you gave him a black eye for it," he noted.

"quite observant!" she sniffed.

"and your mother gave me an earful of it, in which i threatened withdrawal of my sword and dragon and my expertise in battle hence her relenting. had i had my way, i would have flayed your brother like the rats," she hissed.

"did he touch you?" he suddenly asked.

she blinked. "excuse me?!"

"did my brother touch you?" he continued. his face was unreadable.

"that is such.....an inappropriate question, your highness!" she managed to gasp.

aemond then leaned forward. his breath fanned her face, "you know, had i not been fond of you, i would have flayed you like my brother did with the rats".

"then do it. and see what will happen. that mission would have been such a failure had i not interfered," she replied.

she then stood up but not before her last few words, "and let me make this clear your highness, the targaryens are nothing without their dragons. and dragons are nothing but meat!"

aemond stood before the intimidating iron throne. its sword spiked out and jutted in every direction. his eye then landed on the small window. no doubt his lady wife would be out on an evening stroll, as always. he then turned around. his little sister, halaena, stood there.

"is having her heart going to be worth it?" she asked.

it was late. she needed to be up at the first of light. but sleep eluded her. the second son has always been such a mystery, if she had to admit.

she then decided to take a walk with her robes over her thin nightgown. her head whipped around.

"your highness!" she managed to gasp.

there was aemond. standing tall and menacing as ever. but there was a look in his eye that she could not quite identify.

"if what i said had completely offended you, then i do wholly regret it. however, you must understand that the smallfolk-"

but she did not finish. as he slammed his lips against hers.

halaena looked at her two children: jaehaera and jaehaerys. both of them playing merrily with their toy dragons. she then paused with the stitching.

"flames alone will not be enough to melt the ice".

I am 5′7″ or taller (5′7″ exactly woot woot) I wear glasses (I used to have HORRENDOUS eye sight but sprung for laser surgery last December so glasses-free now) I have at least one tattoo (it’s so tiny that I don’t think it counts tho) I have at least one piercing (just the ears) I have blonde hair I have brown eyes I have short hair (i was rocking a pixie until this past year -- it’s now chin-length) My abs are at least somewhat defined (if you squint reeeealll hard lol) I have or have had braces (4 years in high school thanks to... TONGUE THRUST ... the dirtiest sounding non-dirty ailment a high schooler can be cursed with)

PERSONALITY:

I love meeting new people People tell me that I’m funny (witty/spastic tbh) Helping others with their problems is a big priority for me I enjoy physical challenges I enjoy mental challenges I’m playfully rude with people I know well (I would say sassy but not necessarily rude since I’m such a damn sap) I started saying something ironically and now I can’t stop saying it (TBH) There is something I would change about my personality

ABILITY:

I can sing well I can play an instrument (I was one of those piano kids in elem/jr high/high school lol) I can do over 30 push ups without stopping (not unless the cheater ones count) I’m a fast runner I can draw well I have a good memory (for random trivia and anime knowledge, not for something more useful like, say, Kanji, or first names after I meet someone for the second time :0 ) I’m good at doing math in my head I can hold my breath underwater for over a minute (but it freaks me out!) I have beaten at least 2 people in arm wrestling (nope, my arms are like soft potatoes haha) I know how to cook at least 3 meals from scratch I know how to throw a proper punch (my fighting style is to run, argue, or run while arguing)

HOBBIES:

I enjoy playing sports I’m on/was on a sports team at my school or somewhere else (unless debate team counts haha) I’m in/was in an orchestra or choir at my school or somewhere else (lol jazz band) I have learned a new song in the past week I work out at least once a week I’ve gone for runs at least once a week in the warmer months (past tense is key here -- though I’m hoping to get back into running this fall!) I have drawn something in the past month I enjoy writing Fandoms are my #1 passion (ARGUABLY!)

EXPERIENCES:

I have had my first kiss (and it was the last kiss as well #ASEXUALLIFE ) I have had alcohol I have scored the winning goal in a sports game I have watched an entire season of a TV show in one sitting I have been to an overnight event I have been in a taxi I have been in the hospital or ER in the past year (with someone else, not me) I have beaten a video game in one day (I mainly played games growing up on PS1, especially Final Fantasy....but I was never one of those fiends who could pull off a speed run) I have visited another country I have been to one of my favorite bands concerts (just a few! I have breakdanced I know a person named Jamie I have had a teacher with a last name that’s hard to pronounce I have dyed my hair I’m listening to one song on repeat right now (DANCING HERO/ EAT YOU UP HELLLL YESSSSSS) I have punched someone in the past week I know someone who has gone to jail I have broken a bone I have eaten a waffle today (but I did try out those banana/egg two-ingredient pancakes and they were pretty good!) I know what I want to do with my life I speak at least two languages (日本語が大好きです） I have made a new friend in the past year
