Today- GaoQiao (pt.1)

I don’t remember the last time I wrote a fic. It’s been ages haha. Sorry for the crappy writing,,,,,, I just want to see more English fics  there are only like, two but both have set a really high bar rip me so I don’t have to become a slave to Google Translate lol

this is written in Gao Yingjie’s point of view- I’ll write another fic in Qiao Yifan’s POV soon! if i dont delete this first

Gao Yingjie’s POV: pt.1/pt.2/pt.3

Qiao Yifan’s POV:

Gao Yingjie loved Qiao Yifan. Ever since the Tiny Herb Training Camp. Love at first sight sounds like something coming out from a romance novel, not real life. If one had asked Yingjie his thoughts on this ‘love at first sight’, he would laugh. It would be a bit ridiculous, right? To fall in love so easily? So quickly? And yet, here he was, loving someone from the moment they met.

It was a scene Gao Yingjie wanted to savor for the rest of his life. A small, innocent smile. Bright eyes, a startling blue. Hair he wanted to run through his fingers as he- Gao Yingjie blinked, his face an intense shade of red. His thoughts would not run in that direction. Maybe, if he looked away, then he would stop thinking of the small angel standing a few feet in front of him.

“Are you alright? You look a bit red, is everything okay?”,asked a soft voice.

Oh.  He is looking at you, Yingjie. He is talking to you, Yingjie. Say something, Yingjie. Don’t look like a fool in front of him, Yingjie. Make a good impression. Do something. Don’t stare like an idiot. Stop staring at him. You’re making a scene. This is your chance. Say something already.

“Wha- Oh! Yeah, I’m fine! I’m fine really. It’s just the fact that I actually got into the training camp. Yeah! I’m fine! My name is Gao Yingjie-what’s yours? Was that too much? I’m just kind of nervous. I love Glory, after all. I’ve been playing for almost two years now. How long have you played? What class do you play? I use a witch- just like the God! Do you think we’ll get to see God Jiexi? I hope so. What was your name, again?” Gao Yingjie stammered out, not exactly knowing what to do in a situation like this. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ran away now. Good job.

To his apparent surprise, the boy laughed. The laugh of an angel…Yingjie, you are smitten.

“My name is Qiao Yifan. And no, that wasn’t too much, I think..? I actually haven’t played for too long, maybe a few months. I use a Spellblade. A friend I played with said I was actually pretty talented, and forced me to try out. I actually never thought I could make it to the training camp. Um, I hope we get to see Wang Jiexi as well, top-tier pro players are amazing!”, the angel- no, Qiao Yifan replied, his words accompanied by a cute smile that would make kittens turn green with envy. “It’s nice to meet you, Gao Yingjie!”

Wow. I can’t believe you just fell in love so easy. You really are a foolish person, Gao YIngjie. He probably isn’t even into guys. Look at yourself. Are you even worthy enough for someone like him?

Maybe one day, but that day is not today.

Yingjie knew about his love’s, no, best friend’s problem. What was once a happy smile faded away. What were once bright eyes became dull. He wanted to do something. He did do something. He brought it up to God Jiexi, but was told that although this was terrible, this was common. It would end soon. But it wouldn’t end. Yifan became transparent. Invisible. Only there to pour drinks. And how Yingjie hated this. They respected him. Why not Yifan? Both of them entered the training camp at the same time. Both of them were accepted into Tiny Herb. And yet, they were treated drastically different. One became a genius, hailed as a god’s successor. And the other became a servant. A holder of an account rarely used. And yet, despite how differently they were treated, Yifan was still supporting him. He never acted jealous. He never showed any signs of hatred towards Yingjie. Even though Yifan has every right to.

Yingjie tried to treat Yifan the best he could, just to try and bring back his smile, his confidence, his happiness. Yingjie would ask Yifan to train with him, as no one else wanted to. During partner practices, Gao Yingjie asked Yifan to be his partner, even though everyone wanted to be Yingjie’s. Not only that, but every morning, Gao Yingjie would wake up early just to watch Yifan sleep peacefully. He looked content, sleeping. Allowing Yingjie to pretend, maybe, just maybe, that his friend was truly happy, and that maybe they were a- No. Not today, Yingjie. Not yet. Not when your friend is in this state.

When Yifan woke up, Yingjie would give him the biggest, brightest, smile he could. Yifan would always return a smile. A fake small one, but a smile nonetheless.

It was the happiest Yifan would usually be for the whole day.

A few days ago, Tiny Herb was ordered to kill a player by the name of Lord Grim.

Today, Yingjie saw that Yifan changed.

tess shows that she obviously knows who tommy is because she was with the fireflies in her past while tommy was also with the fireflies so maybe when tess was done with the lies that the cure was going to be found and she was done with the fireflies, tommy overheard her and told her to seek out his brother, joel. who is a good man but fell down the wrong path and that he’d protect her if she needed it. tommy also did this to see if joel was still alive because what the fuck is communication in the apocalypse. so she leaves and finds joel who most likely just left the hunters, still alive. and then they get into the smuggling business.
