Hopefully the last post on this. It's also starting to look like the recruitment posters were also misrepresented.
Why I believe Game Science is wrongfully accused of being sexist: Part I (by VitricaEdge) TLDR: The weibo post made by Yang Qi is mistranslated in such a way that it completely distorted his original meaning. He never said anything like “we do not need female gamers”, rather he was condemning a toxic practice by some of the game studios at that time, which were making games catering to “stereotypical female gamers”, and in turn advertise their game as being “full of girl gamers” to attract male gamers looking to date.

Imagine your worldview being so narrow, it exposes your ignorance.
This remains relevant: a game made by Chinese people (for Chinese people) and based on one of the four most important works of classical Chinese literature. It's fine and dandy if the West wants to rewrite their history and butcher their classics but they don't get to dictate how China represents itself or its culture (regardless of CCP shenanigans. Funny how the CCP and wokes have so much in common).
Between what happened with AssCreed shadows and this, I don't think DEI cares about Asians and respecting Asian cultures that much. We're just props and useful idiots for these type of people.
Since August, there's been a plethora of bad releases, ruined IPs and there's more to come. Ugh…don't get me started about Dragon Age, this one will be for later.
