I'm relatively new to the DaouOffroad fandom but I've watched every episode except the recap one of the singing competition where they met for 'Thai practice.' So yeah, for the uninitiated they met on a reality show (where the guy who plays the dad in Rebound was one of the judges). Towards the beginning there was a thing were the high scorers had to choose someone from the bottom half and Daou choose Offroad. They've been inseparable since. They ultimately came in 1st and 2nd so became part of a boyband called Laz1. Love in Translation was written for them because everyone looked at them and went 'hmm.'

Daou wrote a song inspired by 'a friend' who fell in love with a guy friend, which he's performed for fans but never allowed to be recorded.

They used to have matching rings which Daou bought after Love in Translation, but I think Daou lost his at an event, so his current one was given to him by Offroad in a recreation of the napkin proposal from A Century of Love.

I don't really keep up with actors beyond the dramas they act in so forgive me if this is ignorant but there's theories that Daou and Offroad are dating?? I've heard of the Mosbank theories before but never these two. Care to educate 👀?

So, let me preface this by saying that I know even less about DaouOffroad than I do about EarthMix. In fact, I’ve never even watched one of their shows. But I do soak up BL gossip like a sponge and like to keep track of my gays.

Daou and Offroad have done literally everything they possibly can to try to convince us they’re dating, short of actually saying it. Daou has told people not to call them a koojin (imaginary couple) and just to call them a couple instead. They have referred to each other as both partners and each other’s “person.” Daou has a pride flag in his Twitter bio. When explicitly asked if they were dating, Daou replied, “We can’t be dating; we’re celebrities.” And they also wear matching rings that they are more than happy to show off at any given opportunity (see below).

Plus, Daou is best friends with Joong and Joong’s friends have historically been very, very gay.
