1 car space = 10 bicycles
---
How cool is this? Spotted on The Cut at Waterloo, it's one of Cyclehoop's Car Bike Racks, installed by Lambeth Council.
---
They're designed to be installed either temporarily or permanently, and convert one car parking space into ten bike parking spaces. It's even got a free pump integrated into the frame, so you can keep your tyres nice and firm.
--
It's a cracking piece of product design - functional, simple, eye-catching, elegant, witty and thought-provoking. Not bad for a bike rack (but pretty much what you'd expect from the guys who created the brilliant Cyclehoop). We'd love to see loads more of these about town.

The council, with Cycle Hoop, have installed temporary cycle parking at Tulse Hill station to test demand for the service - using one car space creates 10 cycle parking spaces.
If you would like to see permanent cycle parking, please email [email protected] to show your support.

Hoe maak je een stad fietsvriendelijk? (3/3)

I love this design from cyclehoop providing a place for multiple bikes to lock to and also more importantly, illustrating the advantages of transport by bike.

Bike rack.
I was sat in a meeting at work this afternoon when I noticed a strange pink car form being installed over the road.
On closer inspection, on the way home, I saw that it was a rather nifty bike rack from cyclehoop. Great to see that although it had only been there for an hour or so, lots of London cyclists had trusted their bikes to it.
I'm planning to start commuting by bike again so I hope the bike rack is here to stay!

Wow!
This is cool. Securly park 4 cargobikes in a lockable car occupying a standard 4.8 X 2.4 m space!! Copenhagen is on it. I'll research the feasibility of getting something like this in London.
We have got the great Cyclehoop company though; http://www.cyclehoop.com/
