There's been a leaked picture of Mirage with the Earthspark logo
Which makes me wonder, since of course one of the leaked characters for Cyberworld is Mirage, that Cyberworld is a sequel to Earthspark.

Berdly's Formula: Cyberworld.
Sooooo guess who's in the mood to get another essay on Berdly?
Now I am of the belief that somehow dark worlds have some sort of link to the chapter's main new duo, for example, Kris seems to be linked to the first one but the world seems to revolve around giving Susie character growth. The King is a representation of that as well and Lancer playing bad guys with Susie. Kris provides the theme while Susie is the focus, you can also see how everyone refers to Susie as a monster who wrecks things up, it's clear that the "Focus Character" always becomes a known figure in the Dark World they reside in.
Now onto the duo at hand, Berdly and Noelle. And their Cyberworld. Focus Character: Noelle. Theme Character: Berdly.
So let's break it down, Berdly is the Theme character not only because the world is so technological, but let's center around Queen for this post. for the lack of a better term, she's basically a reflection of Berdly while having elements potentially reflective of Mayor Holiday. Especially on how obsessed she is with "having Noelle help her with her plans" in fact she needs Noelle for it because, in Queen's eyes, Noelle is "strong".
Remember Berdly feels as if he needs Noelle's help in order to be considered a smart guy because Noelle is "smarter" than him. Berdly confessed so, that "She's... the real smart kid." it is my belief that there's a bit of idolization in that sentence as well as an inferiority complex.
They both think Noelle is strong and they need that strength to attain their perfect world.
Also, both Berdly and Queen can't detect what Noelle thinks of them Queen thinks that this new world she has planned will make Noelle happy, and after learning that it won't she admits "... Noelle... Perhaps My Computations Were Miscalibrated"
Berdly's case is different, Queen is assuming how to help Noelle while Berdly, in infamous timing, misunderstands why Noelle helps him in perhaps the most comical of his interactions with Noelle there is something very lonely about them "I know you only always helped me out because well... You had a crush on me, so..." Noelle to Berdly is the exception to the norm, the only reason people would even remember his name is because he was smart, but Noelle did so before he even became that smart kid and the only way he could explain it is the irrational, love at first sight. He doesn't understand that people just help one another (at least not until the teamwork mech) especially if they're friends.
They both thought they had a perfect formula in which people functioned, queen calculated the happiness of every Lightner, and Berdly the formula for everyone to remember his name, they were both wrong in the mere act of calculating a surefire way to those ideals.
The Calculations to a perfect World where everyone enjoys your presence and there is happiness to be found everywhere are by nature a catastrophic oversimplification.
Furthermore, there's a note to be had in that while Queen is a foil to Noelle, Berdly is, in turn, a foil to Queen. Noelle runs away from Queen runs away from "Burghley". I feel this is a reflection of how Berdly perceives how the world sees his true self. Unwanted unless proved useful. You can see how much Berdly is fighting over Queen's affection the "Gamers delight" and especially the statue, Berdly is trying to use his formula by demonstrating "I am smart my IQ is high and you can depend on me" to Queen as well as including her in the same definition.
Berdly's formula is not one that works and he is none the wiser.
Well, that's all for now, next chapter of the Berdly analysis we'll take a look at the Cyberworld's puzzles, the Positive Character arc of Berdly, and its resolution. Stay tuned to the Berdly tag gamers. "May the smarts be with you."

Cyberworld QBorgs (part 1) - How We Got Here
Hey, I'm posting something that isn't Cyberchase-related. How novel. There may be some overlap between fans of Cyberchase and fans of this other thing, though.
So, from around 1999 to around 2003, there was a company called Cyberworld International Corporation. They wanted to created web-based multi-media experiences. The idea was that you could make websites and web media more interesting if you gave the user a 3d virtual world to wander around in. Let me transcribe the text from a 2003 Internet Archive capture of their homepage.
Richmedia on the Web has never been so easy.
Cyberworld's revolutionary approach to web development lets you produce 3D multimedia web environments in days rather than months.
Seamlessly integrate multimedia products into a 3D environment without modeling and significant programming. Create a lifelike and interactive online experience for you, your company or your customers.
Let Cyberworld dramatically reduce your time to market and cost of web production.
That's their mission statement.
The 3D worlds that they produced were known as QBORGs. They were playable via a proprietary browser known as the Cyberworld QBORG Browser. Surprisingly, as of 2024, this browser still works on Windows 11. Here's the regular version of the browser. This is the most recent version, 5.3. This is the one that will run most, if not all, of the games.
Quite possibly their most famous game was "Pokemon 2000 Adventure". This one used a custom version of the browser with tons of Pokemon branding.
For many years, these games were completely unavailable. Due to their strange file structure, many of them were not archived properly on the Wayback Machine. Additionally, setting them up on a webserver for the proprietary browser to access them was apparently pretty tricky.
The Flashpoint Archive project is a group that handles the preservation of web games. As the name suggests, their big thing is flash games. However, they have expanded over the years to cover plenty of obsolete web technologies. Here's a link to their project: https://flashpointarchive.org/
And here's a link to a page talking about the different web technologies that they cover, as well as technologies that they plan to cover: https://flashpointarchive.org/datahub/Platforms
In 2023, there were several breakthroughs in reviving the Cyberworld QBORG content within the Flashpoint Project. A former employee from Cyberworld International Corporation, Eddie Ruminski, came forward with CDs containing the missing assets for several games. Flashpoint Project members, including DoomTay and AL_2713, worked out how to setup the QBORG Browser inside Flashpoint.
The Flashpoint Project isn't yet at the point of making the games part of its official release, but that is planned to happen. In the meantime, it is possible to obtain the asset packs for the games and load them in the Flashpoint Project yourself. Here's a screenshot I took while playing the "Pokemon 2000 Adventure" game.
Now, this map is covered with 2D sprites of tree, which may make it a bit harder to see the 3D modeling. Here's a screenshot that I took in a different game, "Cyberworld Olympiad" that shows a 3D building in the background. It also shows a floating robot, who was there to ask trivia questions around the Olympics.
I never played with these growing up. I didn't hear about until many years later. I would have found these to be amazing at the time though. Remember that this was 1999-2003. It was still pretty early days for 3D-rendered games playable in your web browser.
I am planning to play through the available games and make some tumblr posts containing my thoughts on them. However, before I did that, I wanted to put together a post discussing what the games are, and crediting the people who helped bring them back roughly 20 years later.
I'm not sure how long it will be before The FlashPoint Project includes these games in an official release. That will be the point when running the games will be as simple as downloading the Flashpoint Infinity software, selecting the game from a list, and launching it.
As I've shown, the games can be played through the Flashpoint Infinity software, but there are additional steps required. I put together an Internet Archive Upload of the assets with some instructions on how to load them, if anyone is interested.
There were other games produced for Cyberworld QBorgs, but the assets for those games have not resurfaced in their entirety yet. I am also planning to make some tumblr posts going over the missing games and what we know about them. Here is the current list of Lost/Found QBorgs from the Lost Media Wiki.

It's 2024 and who doesn't succumb most of their days scrolling in their phones, typing away in fb messenger, making tiktoks or just laughing at cat memes. Of course, as a Gen-Z-er, I'm part of the digital native population or basically you can call me—chronically online because let's be real here I basically grew up with the internet. That is why I cannot imagine a life without technology, I feel like life would be 100x harder than it is today.
If you were to ask me how deeply integrated technology is to my daily life then I would tell you I am living in a "Cybereal world" and what is that you ask? It's a word I just made up to describe an interconnected world of technology and real life. Now, to get you a look in my daily life in the Cybereal world, let me show you how my day usually goes.
First, in the morning I consider my phone as my lifeline. Why? because as a student who's always tired and sleep deprived I find it hard to always wake up on time so I set up countless (and when I say countless I really mean infinite number) of alarms with 10 to 20 minute intervals. Sometimes, my friends also call me via Messenger or through my phone number to wake me up which I really appreciate so much 'cuz nothing beats starting your morning with some good vibes from your friends right?
After waking up, I start preparing for school. My school schedule is divided between online and offline setup. So on days where I have to go to school, I get ready with music playing in the background. I stream music from youtube 'cuz ya know I have to support my fave kpop group by streaming their music video or I use spotify as I have a subscription (thank god for student discounts it's like the only best thing I have received for being a student) ehem, anyways I usually just play music in my phone or my laptop (mp3 and CD players are so out of trend) . Then after getting ready, I chat my schoolmates and my beloved friends that I'm on my way to school and we decide on where to meet up for breakfast. Once I arrive school, the most important feature in our entire university campus is the elevator. I would not climb up 9 floors of stairs just to get to our room everyday. My weak body cannot tolerate that so praise whoever made elevators.
Online classes are like the best example of how internet and technology has changed this world like can you believe you can get proper education in the comfort of your homes? I really cannot grasp that idea at first but due to the pandemic that happened and the rise of digital world, it just became normal for me. Therefore, my online classes are just me (staring) listening attentively to my professor and taking down notes in Google Docs (PRO TIP! its easier this way).
After classes, I usually go out with my friends to go eat or visit some recreational spots just for leisure and enjoyment 'cuz we always go by the saying "You're never this young, so enjoy your life to the fullest." Of course, we cannot go anywhere without our phones 'cuz how are we going to navigate our way there without google maps? Or how can I go home without the use of transportation booking apps? As someone who sucks at directions google maps and online transportation booking apps are my holy grail.
Everytime I hang out with my friends, I always and I say ALWAAAYS end up with a hurting stomach because of excessive laughing and of course these moments are the moments we want to cherish and keep for the longest time. There's no better way to capture such wonderful moments than with your very high quality phone camera.
After spending a healing moment with friends, I'm back to being a fulltime student as I open my laptop and slave away to finishing school works. During exam seasons, I spend the rest of my week cooped up in my room in front of my computer reading transes for my exams. I also search more information on our topics and lessons in the internet. I also want to give a very special shoutout to Nurse Sarah and her youtube channel for carrying me throughout my college years.
Sometimes, I hop on discord call with my friends and we study together and teach each other concepts and lessons. I appreciate the rise of online calls through various platforms as it really makes it easy to communicate with people even without leaving my home.
A little bit about me is that I am diabetic so I have to take note of my blood glucose. There's this device called glucometer which lets me take my blood glucose level at home—which saves me lots of money as I don't have to go to the clinic and pay for professional fee just to get my blood glucose checked. Aside from that, I have to be active to stay healthy or else I'll have complications with my health. Therefore, I keep track of my exercise activity which I do using my phone and this app called health tracker.
I agree with what Ms. Ariana Grande said in her song 7 rings "whoever said money can't solve your problems must not have hadenough money to solve them" and so, I tend to reward myself by spoiling myself with my favorite things like buying kpop photocards and merchandises. I usually buy them online through applications or platforms like Shopee, Lazada or through twitter, which is now known as X. Whenever I buy online, I use this mobile money transferring app called GCash to pay for my items. I do agree that this form of e-wallet made purchasing items faster and more convenient as I don't have to frequently withdraw money from my bank account. If ever I do need to transfer money from my bank I can do it online through money transfer from bank to e-wallet. I would like to say that this also made me more impulsive in my buying decisions though. Luckily though this easier method of buying and paying is now applied in offline stores as I can pay my items through any e-wallet. All of this leads us to the equation of more things bought + more items gained = happier me
After doing all of these mentioned above, I move on to completing other house chores like washing my clothes like my uniform and then cooking food using our electric stove or the microwave if I'm feeling lazy. Being done all that, I end my day by listening to music again or watching k-dramas to put me to sleep. (i often forget to set my alarm again but I wanna thank whoever made scheduled alarm setups). All in all my cybereal world is full of living life with technology to accompany me in every step I take. Starting from waking up to ending my day, I need technology to back me up. Yes, I agree that I can do these things without my phone, laptops, etc but aren't traditional alarm clocks, cars, and even our doors are form of technology too? I believe that technology came to fruition to be a support for our everyday world. It's just up to us to control the way we let technology control our every day life. That ends this post, if you want to share your application of technology in your daily life then feel free to comment below your own version of your CYBEReal world! Thank you for reading~
