Cure aquarius season created by @aceaeite my friend and I got together to make these oc's, we really love this fanserie and want to know more about the lore, we feel very inspired, Cure Atlantis is the prince of Atlantis and uses his mirror to summon the waters, Cure Aquarius uses your jug to fight, they are a duo like cure summer and lamer, Aquarius is rainbow and Atlantis is blue.

Here's a thought. What does one call a group of magical girls? A squad, a band, coven, maybe a murder?

🤔 In Sailor Moon, they tend to refer to them as "senshi". To the point even in english, people refer to them as "senshi" or "the senshi" when speaking of them as a group. Senshi 戦士 , despite the modern, softer translation os "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" as "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon", actually more acurately translates into warrior, Combatant or, most common in Sailor Moon back before the mid 2000s, "Soldier".

This is why the Japanese Sailor Moon song "La Soldier" is named that. (also considered to be the best Sailor Moon song although I personally disagree as I think Triple Dreams 98 vastly outclasses it)

All that to say, "Senshi" is a good word but it really ONLY and specifically refers to the group of Sailor Moon and not magical girls as a whole. And as I said, for whatever reason in modern day they have decided that "Soldier" is not appealing and made it translate to the far lamer "Guardian" which is kind of bullshit in my opinion because Sailor Moon has always had a bit of an edge to it which sets it apart from other magical girl shows which are far more toned down for a young audience.

ANYWAY

As for a collective word for Magical Girls outside of Sailor Moon I'm not sure. Each show tends to have their own cutesy name for the group. Precures are "Cures" and the Tokyo Mew Mew girls are "Mews" etc etc. And then the shows with singular magical girls just call them by name or "Mahou Shoujo" like in Madoka Magica.
