Cult trio AU
I've seen some people create their own cults and I've been inspired to create a whole AU with that idea.
LONG post ahead
There are three main cults in this AU (there are also many other minor cults but we'll ignore them for now)
These three cults are: The Cult of the Stars (the canonical cult, not gonna say a lot about this one), the Cult of the ocean and the Cult of the earth. All three with their own deities they worship, rituals and traditions.
Cult leaders
Each cult has its own leader, these are the spokesmen for the deity they represent and are granted immortality. The only way for a leader to lose their position is for their deity to find a better vessel. (Or for the leader to be forcibly dethroned.)
The Cult of the ocean
Like the Cult of the Stars, the Cult of the Ocean always operates in a mysterious and hidden manner from the public eye, only letting the surface of their motives and plans be known even to their own followers. Lesser members rarely question their superiors.
They may not be the most aggressive cult, but they are certainly the most unpredictable one and will radically change their plans if anything gets in the way of their goals.
Only the leader of the cult will be granted immortality, but their leader can freeze people and creatures in time at the bottom of the sea and bring them out intact whenever they wish. For this reason, the cult has members from various eras as well as prehistoric beasts.
In the initiation ritual to join the cult, one must consume a fragment of their deity and let it replace one's blood and one of their organs (this process could regenerate lost organs). This ritual could also be forced on those who do not want to join by having them consume the fragment by force, but they would have less chance of surviving the ritual.
Cult members gain an amulet of regeneration. This will heal its wearer by closing their wounds with the essence of their god. So if it is used too much the wearer will lose their identity and become part of their god.
The cult of the ocean has an alliance with the cult of the stars, not a friendship but an “I help you and don’t ask questions if you help me and don’t ask questions” alliance. They are also enemies of the cult of the earth.
The cult of the earth
The Cult of the earth is the most peaceful of the three cults. They live far from the town on their own small farms and villages. They may be the most peaceful, but they are also the most severe with their rules; they can only hunt if they will eat what they hunted (cannibalism would be acceptable under those conditions). Most members are vegetarians, but it is not a rule.
Avoiding conflict with other humans and animals is also a law of the cult. If all members of the cult follow these laws, their god will protect them from diseases, crop failures, and other conflicts that occur outside the cult. If any of these problems occur within the cult, it means that one of its members has broken one of their vows and will have to be executed and returned to the earth.
The initiation rituals of the cult of the earth  consist of being marked by their god. It is not as easy as it seems since for that the god has to accept you as a member and that can take a long time during which the person who wants to join cannot move from their place, eat or sleep waiting for a sign from the god. In these cases the wait is usually two days or less, but there are times when they wait longer or end up dying of hunger. Those born into the cult are born marked so they do not need to go through the ritual.
The cult of the earth also has amulets that grant regeneration (and immunity to pain) as long as the cultist follows the rules (that way they identify traitors).
They are enemies with the cult of the stars and the cult of the ocean.
------------------------------
Thats all for now! If you have any questions about this au you can ask me anytime you want.
Also big sotout to @bulldog-geckorahhhhh and @luzxii who also have made their own cults and you sould totaly check them out.

Plant Genomics and Food Security
Tumblr media
Genomics is a field of biology focusing on understanding an organism’s genome. A genome is the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) containing the full complement of genes in each cell of the plant. Genomics identifies and characterizes an organism’s genome, including functional elements and genes. When we compare genomes within a species we often refer to set of genetic variation as the pangenome.
Aspects such as extreme weather (drought, flooding, and temperature) negatively impact global food security. Extreme rainfall, for example, affects crop production, plant nutritional quality, and farming practices. Plant genomics gives valuable information that can help address challenges associated with global food security by identifying regions of the genome that contribute to increased drought or flood tolerance and excessive heat.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) reports that as of 2024, about 868 million people worldwide face moderate to severe food insecurity, with a third of these, around 342 million, being severely food insecure. Studies also indicate that about 600 million people will experience chronic undernourishment by 2030.
Technologies in plant genomics, such as genome editing, allow scientists to change genomes precisely, improving plant varieties, especially those mostly consumed in low- and middle-income countries. Genome editing technologies enable plant breeders to create variation at specific regions of the genome or even at a single region within a gene, something that was unachievable in previous crop genome modification attempts.
Applying such technologies and other plant genomics applications to address food security has several benefits to the end consumer and farmers. These include enhanced plant nutritional content and reduced food waste since crops have a longer shelf life than non-genome-edited types.
Farmers enjoy disease, pest, and weed-resistant plant varieties, and they can access affordable seeds due to low-cost seed production. Genome editing also allows scientists to produce plant varieties that can improve climate resilience and enhance cropping systems’ biodiversity. Indeed, so profound are genome editing’s potential benefits and opportunities that researchers Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna won the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for developing a genome editing method called CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats).
In the past, one of the ways that governments and relevant authorities used to address hunger and food security challenges resulting from population issues was by encouraging agricultural activities and enhancing crop production in marginal areas. There have been remarkable advancements in agricultural innovation and production over the last century, playing a significant role in the Green Revolution’s overall success. The Green Revolution refers to technology initiatives that helped increase crop yields in developed countries between the early 20th century and the late 1980s.
During the Green Revolution, researchers focused on improving traditional crops’ genetic traits. Such traits included enhanced grain quality, short growth duration, diverse environments’ adaptability, high yield potential, and disease, drought, flood, and pest resistance. Due to the revolution’s initiatives, despite the cultivated land increasing by only 30 percent, cereal crop production tripled. Consequently, food prices and poverty were reduced.
In various countries, scientists are using genome editing to not only improve crop yields and resistance to stresses such as pests but also to enhance crops’ nutritional content. This helps mitigate hunger by increasing crop productivity, thereby addressing nutritional deficiencies. Enabling more scientists and companies access to this technology through reduced regulatory barriers will spur broader acceptance, encourage the deployment of novel traits and lower the cost of producing new varieties in an increasing hostile growing environment.

Despite the challenges, growers in Washington—enticed by the profits the Honeycrisp could potentially bring and ignoring their initial bad experiences with it—eventually ended up planting acres and acres of Honeycrisp trees. … Then there’s the question of storage. … Though Honeycrisps are considered a good storage apple, a fruit that “stores well” could mean many things: It may look perfectly good, but doesn’t guarantee it will still taste good. … To satiate the public’s hunger for the Honeycrisp, a once highly seasonal apple available only in Minnesota, growers have made the apple variety available year-round by planting enough fruit to store for long periods of time. Planting the Honeycrisp in Washington marked not only the shift of the apple from its place of origin—Minnesota—to a growing region it wasn’t well suited to, but was also a shift from a more small-scale, local apple industry to one that was geared towards Big Apple from the start. Growers in Washington never intended to sell their tidy little Honeycrisp crop at local markets during its short season—they wanted to supply the apples year-round, and in large enough quantities to stock supermarket shelves across the country in order to make some serious money. The move to Washington facilitated the arrival of the Honeycrisp everywhere and made it possible for consumers to purchase the apple variety wherever and whenever they wanted. All the problems with the Honeycrisp became much more common once the apple was grown and distributed on such a large scale; as Cornell University pomology professor Ian Merwin told Axios reporter Nick Halter, “There is no question that the quality that’s in the market is not what it was 10 years ago.” Apples are spending longer than ever in storage, and “even with advances in refrigeration in technology, that further erodes their quality.”

Analyzing the Shadow Kings Part 2 - Gluttony
Hello again here is the next shadow king Obsidonia's hungry hungry demon Beelzebub.
As a heads up I have not read every appearance of this character so feel free to add any input if I missed anything or if ya want to. Long Post ahead, mild spoilers
Tumblr media
Beelzebub is one of many shadow kings named after a major demon of hell. Beelzebub is called the prince of demons in the bible, and has been associated with a ton of stuff. Another major epitaph of the demon is the lord of flies.
In Treatise on Confessions by Evildoers and Witches by Peter Binsfeld Beelzebub is described as the demon of gluttony though other texts associate him with the sins of envy, pride, or idolatry.
Lets move on to design and personality now though this is about a game character not the mythological figure:
Tumblr media
Beelzebub's clothes are a mix of regal and punk rock with a crown on his head?/helmet? and a fur trim cape. That leads to a tight leather jacket and pants, thigh high platform boots, a crop top, and a leather choker that kind looks like the back of a corset.
Physically he has a larger second mouth on his stomach for further gluttony symbology.
His head is weird hes got big goat horns (they are known to eat a lot), two bug antennas with fluffy ends, around his mouth the helmet makes four points that could represent insect mandibles, a heart on his forehead, and green hair. I don't know if it is a helmet or not because I don't believe we've seen him without it on.
Personality wise Beelzebub is dismissive and self centered. He seeks only to satiate his own hunger. Usually having to get scolded by Kafka or Hellion.
For powers Beelzebub can fly, summon magic weapons, and turn people in 3 headed kerberoses.
In the story Beelzebub is uniquely tied to the empire of Obsidonia with all emperors expected to take a vow of gluttony pledging to expand the empire. The empire has reached its twilight years however, and can't seem to expand past Amberdam to the north nor the Federation to the south. Kafka the sitting emperor refused to take the vow, and admiral Gordov has initiated a coup taking Kafka's bodyguard/lover Hellion hostage hoping to trap Kafka and become the next emperor.
Beelzebub doesn't care about any of that however and after looking into Hellion as his next emperor. Hellion in short has lived a really shit life. Born as a slave, forced to fight as a gladiator until Kafka made him his personally servant. Hellion reasonably wants to tear everything down. Beelzebub loves this and turns hellion into a kerberos with the promise that Hellion will get to consume everything starting with Kafka.
Kafka and Hellion's love eventually manages to break Beelzebub's control, and the demon gets defeated shortly after the MC/Gaia powers up Kafka.
After his defeated he mostly follows Kafka and Hellion, and complains.
Overall I like the whole vow of gluttony thing with Obsidonia, and that he summons energy cutlery when fighting. I wish they would expand on the empire no longer being a thing after chapter 2 Kafka still seems in charge so I don't know how things have changed.
As for my opinion honestly Beelzebub is kinda a nothingburger for me. I don't dislike him I just don't think he's that interesting.

Priscilla - Countdown Day 4: "The Fight Against Hunger: A World Divided by Access"
"Même si tu ne danses plus pour moi, mais moi je chante toujours pour toi."
These words reflect an enduring hope, a refusal to give up even when faced with absence or loss. Today, they remind me of the silent crisis of hunger. An absence is so profound that it denies millions the chance to thrive, dream, and live. Hunger is not just the absence of food; it is the absence of dignity, opportunity, and fairness.
Globally, over 828 million people go to bed hungry every night. In a world capable of abundance, this is a tragedy born of inequality, conflict, and neglect. Nations blessed with plenty waste tons of food while others scramble for scraps. Climate change devastates crops, displacing farmers and worsening food insecurity. Wars and conflicts disrupt supply chains, leaving entire regions vulnerable to famine. And all the while, hunger steals futures, stunting growth, erasing potential, and perpetuating cycles of poverty.
But hunger is not just a symptom of inequality but a catalyst for further division. A hungry child cannot focus on learning, a hungry worker cannot give their best, and a hungry community cannot build peace. Hunger fragments societies, creating gaps that are difficult to bridge.
And yet, there is hope. The power to combat hunger lies within us. From grassroots movements to global initiatives, the fight against hunger is one we can win if we choose compassion over indifference. Supporting food banks, investing in sustainable farming, and addressing the root causes of inequality can create ripples of change. Each act of kindness, each effort to reduce waste, and each dollar donated makes a difference.
As Philoetry connects hearts through words, so must we connect as Earthlings to ensure no one is left behind. Hunger is not inevitable; it is a choice we make as a global society. And today, I choose to sing for those who cannot yet dance because their hunger keeps them from moving forward. For those of you who are fortunate enough to eat, think of those 828 million who go to bed hungry before wasting.
"Mais moi je chante toujours pour toi." I sing for a future where everyone has enough to eat, no one is left in the shadow of scarcity, and humanity's song rises in unison. In a world of abundance, no one should go hungry. Day 4 of our countdown reflects on the global fight against hunger and our shared responsibility to end it.

Wheatfield - A Confrontation, Agnes Denes, 1982
"Two acres of wheat planted and harvested by the artist on the Battery Park landfill, Manhattan, Summer 1982.
After months of preparations, in May 1982, a 2-acre wheat field was planted on a landfill in lower Manhattan, two blocks from Wall Street and the World Trade Center, facing the Statue of Liberty. Two hundred truckload of dirt were brought in and 285 furrows were dug by hand and cleared of rocks and garbage. The seeds were sown by hand adn the furrows covered with soil. the field was maintained for four months, cleared of wheat smut, weeded, fertilized and sprayed against mildew fungus, and an irrigation system set up. the crop was harvested on August 16 and yielded over 1000 pounds of healthy, golden wheat.
Planting and harvesting a field of wheat on land worth $4.5 billion created a powerful paradox. Wheatfield was a symbol, a universal concept; it represented food, energy, commerce, world trade, and economics. It referred to mismanagement, waste, world hunger and ecological concerns. It called attention to our misplaced priorities. The harvested grain traveled to twenty-eight cities around the world in an exhibition called "The International Art Show for the End of World Hunger", organized by the Minnesota Museum of Art (1987-90). The seeds were carried away by people who planted them in many parts of the globe.
The questionnaire was composed of existential questions concerning human values, the quality of life, and the future of humanity. The responses were primarily from university students in various countries where I spoke or had exhibitions of my work. Within the context of the time capsule the questionnaire functioned as an open system of communication, allowing our descendants to evaluate us not so much by the objects we createdas is customary in time capsulesbut by the questions we asked and how we responded to them.
The microfilm was desiccated and placed in a steel capsule inside a heavy lead box in nine feet of concrete. A plaque marks the spot: at the edge of the Indian forest, surrounded by blackberry bushes. The time capsule is to be opened in 2979, in the 30th century, a thousand years from the time of the burial.
There are, still within the framework of this project, several time capsules planned on earth and in space, aimed at various time frames in the future.
Postscript: The above text that was written in 1982 has now added poignancy and relevance after 9/11/01" - Agnesdenesstudio.com
Tumblr media
"Rice/Tree/Burial was first realized in 1968 in Sullivan County, New York, in a private ritual. It was a symbolic "event" and announced my commitment to environmental issues and human concerns. It was also the first exercise in Eco-Logic; an act in eco-philosophy. I coined the words to be used this way emphasizing the importance of eco-logical thinking. This work is considered the first ecological realization in public art.
I planted rice to represent life (initiation and growth), chained trees to indicate interference with life and natural processes (evolutionary mutation, variation, decay, death), and buried my Haiku poetry to symbolize the idea or concept (the abstract, the absolute, human intellectual powers, and creation itself). These three acts constituted the first transitional triangulation* (thesis, antithesis, synthesis) and formed the Event. According to evolutionary theories, Event is the only reality, while the reality we perceive is forever changing and transforming in an expanding evolutionary universe in which time, space, mass, and energy are all interconnected and interdependent.
Rice represented a universal substance referring to sustenance and the life-giving element, while the seed itself denoted the nucleus, first principle or cause, the beginning. The act of sowing implied the source of growth, the introduction of a thing into another environment in order to initiate a process, the setting of something into motion (fertilization, conceiving, induction).
The chaining of trees signified linkage, connective units and associations, flexibility and restraint. It implied bondage, defeat, interference with growth and decay. The act of chaining brought attention to the mysterious life-force of an organism and its partial triumph over boundaries and restraints, its uneven, limited transcendence. Chaining trees also expressed choice, the selection and defining necessary in the creative process.
The texture of the forest, having been interrupted by the reordering of its elements, yielded unique structures of isolated or combined sculptural forms. The chains became additional limbs and blended into their surroundings to become visible only in certain lights, angles, and perspectives, conveying the conflicting and interdependent aspects of art and existence, illusion and reality, imagination and fact. The chained trees stood as monuments to human thought versus nature.
The burial of my haiku formed the essence of thinking processes (consciousness, deductive reasoning, and the logic of emotions). It represented the concept as essence of invention, which connects and defines life and death and acts as modifier and rationale for both.
I kept no copies of my poetry, thereby relinquishing, "giving up to the soil," something personal and precious, an act that also symbolized the self-denial and discipline required by this new analytical art form.
The act of burial, or placing into the ground and receiving from it, a cause-and-effect process, marks our intimate relationship with the earth. On the one hand, it indicates passing, returning to the soil, disintegration, and transformation; on the other, generation and life-giving, placing in the ground for the purpose of planting. It is also a metaphor for human intelligence and transcendence through the communication of ideas - in this case, to future descendants.
All three imply change from one form to another, cyclic phenomena, transformation- as from chaos to order and back. Consequently, all three idea representatives or metaphors, the rice, the tree, the burial, become analogous, interactive and interdependent, creating the tension of opposing forces acting on each other and the momentum necessary to pass from one state to another and into further propositions. Their interaction creates a counterbalance as they pass into each other's realm or meaning to become successively interchangeable through their inherent polarity.
The ritual marked the beginning of my involvement with the creation of a "visual philosophy," a complex process which explores essences as forms of communication. It finds methods to put analytical propositions into visual form, defines elusive processes and creates analogies among divergent fields and thought processes. It challenges the status quo and tests its own validity.
In the summer of 1977, the ritual was re-enacted and realized on a full scale at Artpark (Lewiston, New York), completing the first cycle in the evolutionary process of my work and marking an important phase in its development. This periodical summation is a natural evolutionary phenomenon. Organisms probe their environment to find best possible ways to survive by developing memory and the ability to compare. In our limited existence this long view of reaching back and re-examining provides answers as to where we have been and where we are going.
I planted a half-acre rice field 150 feet above the Niagara gorge. The site marked the birthplace of Niagara Falls between Canada and the U.S., twelve thousand years ago. The rice grew up mutant, an unforeseen consequence of Artpark having been a dump-site near Love Canal.
I chained the trees in a sacred forest that was once an Indian burial ground, long since looted and desecrated, working under the watchful eyes of the Indians who seemed to hover over us in the trees and cover our bodies in the form of eerie spiders.
I then climbed out to the edge of Niagara Falls and filmed it for seven days, adding the forces of nature, as a fourth element, to this cycle of dialectics. With this act I also affirmed that my art functioned on the edge of the unknown in a delicate balance of the universals and the self, of the moment and of eternityand was not afraid to assume the risks such art must take.
The shaky ledge from which I filmed had been dynamited to control the retreat of the falls. Soon after my filming, it fell into the white foam below.
The time capsule was buried at Artpark at 47' 10' longitude and 79' 2' 32" latitude. It contained no objects other than the microfilmed responses to a questionnaire that had traveled around the world, and a long letter I wrote addressed "Dear Homo Futurus."
The questionnaire was composed of existential questions concerning human values, the quality of life, and the future of humanity. The responses were primarily from university students in various countries where I spoke or had exhibitions of my work. Within the context of the time capsule the questionnaire functioned as an open system of communication, allowing our descendants to evaluate us not so much by the objects we created, as is customary in time capsules, but by the questions we asked and how we responded to them.
There are, still within the framework of this project, several time capsules planned on earth and in space, aimed at various time frames in the future."

Particularly "Wheat field: A confrontation" shares a very direct relationship with my work - in many ways I was interested in the terrorism fear that emerged from the Opal tower shattering, and how the building represents a capital / luxury.

Promoting Sustainable Development in Agriculture: A Global Perspective
Tumblr media
Understanding Sustainable Development in Agriculture
Sustainable Development in Agriculture refers to practices and systems that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It encompasses a holistic approach to farming that integrates environmental, social, and economic considerations to ensure the long-term health and resilience of agricultural ecosystems. Key principles of sustainable agriculture include:
1. Environmental Stewardship: Sustainable agriculture seeks to minimize environmental impacts by conserving natural resources, reducing pollution, and promoting biodiversity conservation. This includes practices such as crop rotation, integrated pest management, and agroforestry, which help to maintain soil fertility, prevent erosion, and protect water quality.
2. Economic Viability: Sustainable agriculture aims to ensure the economic viability of farming communities by promoting fair wages, equitable access to resources, and diversified income streams. By adopting innovative technologies and practices, farmers can increase productivity, reduce input costs, and improve market access, thereby enhancing their overall livelihoods and resilience to economic shocks.
3. Social Equity: Sustainable agriculture prioritizes the well-being of farming communities and rural populations, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to resources, information, and decision-making processes. This includes initiatives to promote gender equality, empower smallholder farmers, and support indigenous land rights, fostering inclusive and participatory approaches to agricultural development.
Global Initiatives for Sustainable Development in Agriculture
Recognizing the urgent need to address the sustainability challenges facing agriculture, numerous global initiatives have been established to promote sustainable development in the sector. These initiatives bring together governments, international organizations, civil society groups, and the private sector to drive positive change and catalyze action at the local, national, and global levels. Some notable examples include:
1. United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, including those related to agriculture and food security. Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) specifically target sustainable agriculture, calling for actions to end hunger, promote sustainable food production, and ensure food security for all.
2. FAO’s Global Action for Sustainable Development (GASD): The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) leads efforts to promote sustainable agriculture through its GASD initiative, which aims to support countries in implementing sustainable agriculture practices, improving agricultural productivity, and enhancing resilience to climate change.
Tumblr media
Looking Ahead: The Path to a Sustainable Future for Agriculture
As we confront the challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and food insecurity, the need for sustainable development in agriculture has never been greater. By embracing sustainable agriculture practices, investing in research and innovation, and fostering collaboration and partnerships, we can create a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food system that meets the needs of current and future generations. Together, we can build a future where agriculture thrives, ecosystems flourish, and people prosper in harmony with nature.

UK Boosts Global Food Security with IFAD
Tumblr media
The UK's Commitment to Global Food Security
In a groundbreaking and ambitious move, the UK is significantly increasing its support to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). This strategic initiative is not just a response to the growing concerns of food scarcity worldwide; it's a proactive measure to support and empower poor rural farmers. These farmers play a crucial role in feeding a significant portion of the world's population, especially in developing countries.   Investing in Rural Farmers: A Step Towards Ending Hunger Rural small-scale farms are responsible for producing up to 70% of the food consumed in low- and middle-income countries. This statistic underscores the vital importance of supporting these rural communities. With its generous pledge of £66.7 million to IFAD, the UK government is taking a decisive and impactful step towards protecting these essential livelihoods. This investment also addresses the escalating global hunger crisis, which has become a pressing issue in recent times.
Addressing the Hunger Crisis: A Critical Time for Action
The number of people facing severe food shortages has risen alarmingly by 34% since 2021. This surge makes the UK's support for IFAD more critical than ever. With an increasing number of individuals, especially in regions like Africa, grappling with hunger and malnutrition, reversing this trend has become a top priority for the UK government and the global community at large.   Championing Sustainable Agricultural Practices As a founding member of IFAD, the UK is at the forefront of promoting and funding sustainable agricultural practices. This significant financial contribution will aid IFAD in implementing a variety of projects designed to enhance farming yields. These projects focus on better soil and pest management, efficient fertilizer use, and access to high-quality seeds. Furthermore, these initiatives play a crucial role in empowering rural women by improving their financial literacy, connecting them to markets, and helping them grow more food sustainably.   IFAD's Impact: Aiming High for Rural Support IFAD's ambitious goal to support over 100 million poor rural individuals reflects both the scale of the global challenge and the commitment required to address it. The UK's substantial contribution to IFAD is a clear testament to its dedication to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. This support is expected to have a far-reaching impact, transforming the lives of millions who depend on agriculture for their livelihoods.
The UK's Vision: Reflecting on Food Security
Andrew Mitchell, Minister for Development and Africa, underscores the urgency of the global food security crisis in his statement. He reminds us that the UK's investment in IFAD goes beyond mere financial support; it represents a commitment to adopting smarter, more sustainable farming practices and land management. These practices are expected to not only increase crop production but also reduce waste. The UK's approach is grounded in the belief that renewable technology can help farmers rise to the climate challenge in a manner that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and protects the natural environment.   IFAD's Gratitude: Strengthening a Vital Partnership Alvaro Lario, President of IFAD, expresses deep gratitude for the UK's generous support, recognizing its pivotal role in transforming the lives of the world's poorest and most vulnerable rural people. The UK's contributions, particularly in the realm of climate adaptation for small-scale agriculture, have been vital in building resilient food systems in the face of climate change.
Leveraging Funds for Climate Resilience
The UK's leadership in IFAD’s Adaptation for Smallholder Agriculture Programme (ASAP) not only showcases its unwavering commitment to climate-resilient agriculture but also sets a precedent for global cooperation. Importantly, for every dollar invested in ASAP, IFAD has been able to leverage $6.5 from other governments and organizations. Consequently, this funding significantly helps integrate climate work into all IFAD agricultural projects. As a result, an additional 3.2 million people receive support in coping with the impacts of climate change, thereby enhancing the resilience of these communities.   Sources: THX News, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office & The Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP. Climate change has a major impact on agriculture. When it comes to the history of the problems, there isn’t as much as there would be for some other issues, since climate change has really only been a major topic of discussion for the past few decades. But over these decades, there have been many agricultural changes observed. These consist of erratic weather patterns, changes (usually increase) in temperatures, and an increase of extreme weather conditions such as floods or tsunamis. All of these factors have been negatively affecting agriculture, mostly by making the production process more difficult for farmers and other food systems. This is backed up by scientific research and historical data.
There have been various actions taken to combat this issue, and many are still being used or are still being further developed. International Organizations and governments have attempted strategies such as Implementation of climate-resilient farming practices and technologies, promotion of sustainable agriculture to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, development of early warning systems for extreme weather events, and research into heat-resistant crop varieties. Some more current, modern, and ongoing actions include, The United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 2, which has the goal to end hunger, achieve food security, as well promote sustainable agriculture. There are also government initiatives to provide financial support to farmers affected by climate change-induced disasters. There’s also some ongoing research projects exploring innovative farming techniques and drought-resistant crops. Finally there are some International climate agreements like the Paris Agreement, which include agriculture in their discussions.
Organization 1. The first local organization I found is Rogue Farm Corps. The Rogue Farm Corps is a non-profit organization in Oregon, that works on providing young, new, or aspiring farmers with hands-on training and first hand experience. They Put heavy emphasis on farming practices that are climate-resilient and sustainable.
Organization 2. The next organization I found is actually one at Oregon State University. It is the Oregon State University Extension Service.  I know this isn’t super local since it is a couple hours away but I feel like it is still very accessible and is probably local to someone most people know. This organization provides Oregon farmers and gardeners with research based information and resources. This includes guidance when it comes to climate adaptation, mitigation processes, and sustainable agriculture.

Into the Anthill pt 25 - Project B.I.G.
As well as being the lead researcher on the mysterious vault in the Avengers Mansion basement (which we’ll get to in The Crossing), Hank was working with Bill Foster on Project B.I.G., an initiative that he hoped could end world hunger by making crops larger. In their spare time Hank and Jan both finally got themselves some therapy, which they both absolutely needed. That said, Jan hired accredited help while Hank just rigged up a brain scanner to trap himself in an insect-themed nightmare to work his issues out.
Classic Hank.
🐜🐜🐜
Secret Defenders vol 1 #18-19
Bureau 18 contacted Giant-Man and Dr. Druid to solve a string of unusual insect-related deaths. Hank, Iron Fist, Iceman, and Archangel worked together to stop the insects and protect civilians while Dr. Druid fought Swarm.
Avengers West Coast vol 1 #102
Captain America called for the dissolution of the West Coast Avengers due to what he personally saw as failings on their part. After War Machine quit, the remaining 11 members in attendance put it to a vote. Cap, Black Widow, Black Knight, Hercules, and Vision voted to end it. Scarlet Witch, U.S.Agent, Sersi, Spider-Woman, and Giant-Man voted no. Crystal abstained. With the votes tied, Iron Man exercised his right to vote as an inactive member. With the resentment and lack of support they faced from the East team, he knew it would be pointless to drag this out any further and voted to disband them. Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, U.S.Agent, and Spider-Woman quit the Avengers immediately as a show of protest.
Avengers vol 1 #370-375, 378
The Avengers responded to a distress call from Lemuria. They were attacked by deviants immediately and placed under mind control by their brain-mines. Sersi was used as a pawn to lure in Kro and other rogue deviants in. While most of the Avengers were needed for Lord Ghaur’s plan to create a multi-species uni-mind, Giant-Man and Black Knight were extras and were instead forced into gladiatorial combat. Sersi was able to break Dane free of his brain-mine and shut down the uni-mind from the inside.
Hank ran tests on Dane’s brain to determine the extent of Sersi’s influence over him; the results showed that she had almost fully overtaken his will. Then Proctor and the Eternals arrived on the scene and Sersi left with Dane through a portal to another dimension to cure her madness. With that out of the way, Hank turned his scanner on himself for some much-needed psychoanalysis. In his mind, he was placed on trial by ants and charged with conspiracy to disrupt the insect community and treason against the state of his own mind. He was tormented by insectoid versions of his alter-egos, each one preying on his insecurities. He was able to overcome this by finally admitting to himself that he could never give up the life of a superhero.
Avengers Annual vol 1 #23
Loki and Hades devised a plan to kill Thor and Hercules by using Typhon as a pawn, but failed like they always do. Back home, Giant-Man and Vision engaged in some 1-on-1 training and fought a sentient glitch in Vision’s software.
Avengers vol 1 #382-383
Giant-Man, Black Widow, and Vision investigated the sub-basement of their new Avengers Mansion - an abandoned copy from an alternate timeline installed where theirs used to be - for any irregularities. Most of the mansion’s systems had lost power, and Hank’s instruments revealed what seemed to be a dense chunk of displaced time sealed into a vault that they could not open.
Marvel Double Feature… The Avengers/Giant-Man vol 1 #379-382
Janet spoke with her therapist, Dr. Rossin, about her recent exit from the West Coast Avengers. After a successful return to the fashion industry, she threw a Hollywood-character themed masquerade ball to celebrate. Her guests were horrified when A giant gorilla appeared outside the window (Hank dressed as King Kong with various congratulatory balloons). After the party Hank brought Janet to a secret garden where he and Bill Foster had begun Project B.I.G. (Biotechnically Induced Growth), an agricultural application of his Pym Particle research that aimed to end world hunger.
Hank received a call about giant insects in the Southwest and went off on his own to deal with them, running into trouble as Col. Manning of the Air Force tried to interfere. Hank was knocked out during the fight and Manning took him prisoner on the assumption that this was his fault. Captain America broke him out and brought him to Janet, who had begun to grow uncontrollably. Bill Foster, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, Tigra, and anyone else who’d ever been exposed to Pym Particles was also changing size, and anywhere he’d used the particles saw attacks from giant insects. All of this on the seven year anniversary of the day Janet became the Wasp to fight the Kosmosian that killed her father.
As Kosmosians began to invade Earth seeking revenge on Hank, he pushed his body’s limits and managed to grow to 60 ft while increasing his strength to match (exceeding the 25 ft limit he’d known as Goliath). On the ropes, the Kosmosian opened a portal and Hank went through, discovering Erik Josten (formerly the villain called Goliath). The Kosmosians were using his body’s Pym Particles to attack their targets on Earth, so Hank overwhelmed their systems with his own to keep them from invading again.
Minor/Cameo appearances from this period:
Spider-Man Unlimited vol 1 #3
Starblast vol 1 #1
Marvels vol 1 #2
Marvel Comics Presents vol 1 #152
Warlock and the Infinity Watch vol 1 #26-28
Quasar vol 1 #60
Daredevil vol 1 #327
Thunderstrike vol 1 #9-10

Holding the liquor to his lips, Ran enjoyed watching you squirm. He loved the way your back arched from the bed, your gasps that were silenced by the ball gag in your mouth and your vision blocked by the material of a simple white blindfold.
Such a helpless little lamb.
Relaxing further into the soft leather of his chair, Ran’s other hand toyed with the remote control that decided the speed and rhythm of the toy inside you. Paying no attention to the direction of the switch, Ran lowered the speed of the vibrator. Your wild hips were now tamed as you relaxed into the messy sheets around you. Taking shaky breaths through the ball gag that was pressed into your mouth, Ran couldn’t help but snicker at your naive and oblivious self presented before him. Eyes shifting to the setting of the switch, he clicked his tongue in disapproval, realizing that the pace he set was too slow. With a raise of his eyebrow, he moved the tip of his gloved thumb to slowly raise the switch while the other held a glass of whiskey to his lips. With an arch of your back and broken moan, Ran’s lips turned into a smirk on the edge of his glass.
Much better now.
With the turn of his head, Ran stared at the wall on the side of the room that held tools of pleasure. Setting the half finished glass of whiskey on the side table, he got up to see what the would use more carefully. Picking up the collar, he twirled the band around his gloved fingers. Pinching at the metal charm that held his initials, he hummed in thought if he should use it on you tonight. ‘Used it last week’ Ran thought before he set the collar on the peg. Eyes shifting, he saw a riding crop that had fallen from the peg of the soft cushioned wall. Picking it up, he toyed with the soft leather that was placed at the end of it.
It’s been a while with this one.
With a smile playing on his lips, he returned to bed. Hunger in his gaze, Ran eyed your naked form that laid bare before him. With a flick of his thumb, he put a stop to the toy that buzzed within you, causing you to break from your high. “Playtime’s over for you” Ran said, using his nimble fingers to take out the vibrator. Dropping it on the floor with a thud, he stood at the foot of the bed, studying your body. Picking up one of your legs, he squinted at the mess between your thighs. Using a gloved finger, he inserted the tip of his index into your oversensitive sex, only to pull away and rub it between his digits. Pulling them apart, he noticed a clear string of slick. Looking at your blindfolded face, he reaches his hand out, smearing your juices on your sweaty cheek. “Time for me to take over honey” he said in a degrading tone. Untying the binds on your feet, he spreads your legs apart, to the point where your thigh joints hurt and your pussy quivered from both pain and shame of being watched by a man you couldn’t see, but knew.
“Tsk.What a fucking mess” Ran said with a click of his tongue. Dragging the soft end of the leathered riding crop, he traces the inner skin of your thigh. With a shiver down your spine, you moved your leg, only to be met with a sharp sting on the expanse of your skin. Ignoring your broken moan from the pain you received Ran spoke.
“Let’s set three ground rules. First, you can’t move unless I tell you. Second, the only words I want you hear out of you is ‘Hai Ran-sama’ and third” he said, trailing the soft leather of the riding crop high up your thigh, rubbing dashes close to your pussy.
“You won’t cum unless I say so”. Taking the crop into his mouth, he held the rod between his teeth. Reaching forward, he unbuckled the gag from your mouth. Trailing his fingers through your hair, he removed the blindfold with a tug. Squinting at the dim lights of the room, you watched his figure pull back and look at you with a predatory leer. Smirking with the riding crop between his teeth, he pulled one leathered glove after another, until his fair hands came into view. “Asoboze” he said, getting up from the bed and loosening his tie. Pulling at the restraints of your hands, you looked at Ran with a pleading gaze, accompanied with a slight pout.
“I wanna keep ‘em there. Be too much of a nuisance while playing with you wouldn’t it?” He acknowledged with a smirk with the rod between his teeth, now beginning to unbutton his shirt. Throwing his shirt to the corner of the room, he turned to face you with crazed excitement in his eyes.
“We’re gonna play a little game Ningyo -Chan” he said, locking your gaze with his as he trailed the tip of the soft leather mindlessly up and down your exposed thigh.
“You’re gonna name each and every place I fucked you right. Get one of 'em wrong I’ll give a spank. In case you need to know how hard it is” he said, pulling the leather tip away from your exposed thigh, towards the palm of his hand. As the rod came with a loud smack on his exposed palm, Ran looked at you with a toothy smile. Pulling the leather away, he brought the soft and tender pink skin before your eyes. “Hand’s been calloused for a while. Wonder what would happen if I hit here” he said, rubbing the soft leather on your pelvis.
“Hai… Hajimemasu” Ran announced with a smirk.
“When was the first time I fucked you” Ran asked. Reminiscing on the time you began dating the notorious man, you recollected the first time he had sex with you.
“The balcony in one of the clubs in Roppongi” you said in an exasperated breath. Humming in satisfaction at your answer, Ran used the tip of his finger to graze your clit. With a whimper, you ground your hips into the palm of his hand, to be stopped with a harsh slap to your naked pussy. “Behave” he said in a grave tone. Gritting your teeth, you relaxed back into the sheets beneath the both of you. “Good girl” Ran said with a cocky smirk, “Sugi wa” he trailed.
“Where was the second time?” He asked, staring into your eyes. Holding his gaze with yours, you watched his dilated pupils stare into your soul. Cringing at the memory of where was the second time you fucked you grew impatient.
He was trying to break you down. Tantalizing and slowly, eating away at time. Waiting for you to commit a mistake.
“The mall”. A smack followed by a whimper could be heard through the room. Looking down, you could see the throbbing skin that presented the angry red mark from the whip.
“Tut tut tut, doll” Ran said, tapping the whip against your cheek. “You should know better than to test my patience and act stupid and to add into the mix... impatient” Ran trailed. Tracing the whip down from your cheek to your collarbones, he asked in a menacing voice, “Moi kai. Where did you moan like a bitch?”
“The swimming pool on the terrace” you replied, squirming away from him. Leaning forward, Ran slid his palm around your throat and with a light squeeze he pulled you forward to his awaiting lips. Pulling away with a string of saliva between the two of you, he said in a raspy voice “That’s your reward. Shame I would have given you more… but looks we’ll have to do something about that impatience of yours first”.
Leaving you on the bed, Ran trailed his riding crop towards your bare and pulsating heat. Sliding the edge of the riding crop over your clit, he watched the tip of the leather coated in your needy slick, the thin strings shining under dim lights of the room.
“You’re not allowed to cum until I tell you to. Wakata?” He said in a gentle yet terrifying tone that only made you more wet. “Hai Ran” you said in response. Eyes widening in response to your words, you were about to correct yours words; when you felt a sting of both pain and pleasure through your clit. “Try again” he said in a challenging tone.
“Hai Ran-sama” you whimpered.
“Play nice or I might have to put you on shelf” he said, kneeling down till he came eye to eye with your core. Using the back of his riding crop, he began to push the tip of the handle into your warm wet walls. “Had this whip specially made for you. Do you like it doll?” Ran asked in a sultry voice, working his wrist to push the riding crop in and out of your warm wet walls. Feeling unsatisfied again the slow drag of the handle in and out of your sopping wet cunt, you scrunched your eyebrows in frustration. Biting the tip of your tongue to hold back a retort, you whimpered a pathetic “H-Hai Ran Sama”
Chuckling he gave a playful slap to your naked thigh with his free hand while he kept the other busy, pushing the riding crop in and out of your cunt. “You do know how to hold back a lie dontcha Ningyo Chan?” He said a smile. Giving your cunt a few more pumps, he increased the pace of his hand, pushing you to your limits. With a slight bounce of your body to every push he gave you could feel yourself reaching your first orgasm for the night. Instincts picking up on your movements, Ran slowed his hand down before pulling out the handle completely. Snapping your eyes open, you watched as he brought the handle to his face before slowly licking up a stripe on the bumpy surface, leaning his figure towards you. “Stick your tongue out” he said before letting your slick and his spit dribble into your mouth. “Swallow” he commanded condescendingly with a sharp stare. Holding his gaze with your hazy one, you did as he said.
“Good girl” he said, giving you three gentle taps on the side of your face. Getting up, he said in a loud tone from the foot of the bed where you could hear him shedding of his pants with the dangling of the buckle and the drop of garments on the wooden floor. “Do you remember the last time you came into my office what happened?” Ran asked snidely. Staring at the ceiling, you tried to recall what had happened the last time when you went into his personal office that was at the end of the hall of the big mansion you both lived in.
“Ran do you know where the staples are…?” You asked while holding the door knob as you stepped into his office. Looking at the empty chair where you would usually see the said man sitting and working away at his desk, you were surprised to find the large menacing leather chair empty. Eyeing the wooden desk on the carpet, you knew the drawer of the desk would have what you were looking for. Bending over the other side of the desk, you reached for the drawer, oblivious to the door opening behind you. “And this is where we would discuss-” Ran said, extending his hand forward, an inviting gesture towards the guest, sentence breaking and going completely silent at the sight of your inappropriate position of bending over the desk, attempting to open the drawer on the other side and rummaging through this belongings until you found what you were looking for. Hearing the guest clearing his throat, you froze in place. Turning your head back slowly, you watched as the guest loosened his tie in nervousness while Ran gave you the look of disappointment mixed with lust. Fixing your flustered position, you walked through the door muttering a quiet ‘sorry’ before you were stopped by none other than Ran whose hand was secured around your waist, making sure that you didn’t move. “You’ll be paying for what you did earlier doll”.
“You mean the time I bent over…?” You asked, squinting your eyes in memory of what transpired in his office. “Shoulda fucked you on the desk in front of him right? Woulda done in my boner instead of sitting there with a tent in my pants. Shoulda known better than to play fucking innocent and bend over the desk doll” Ran said, turning to face you. “How’s it my fault when you’re this insatiable-” you moaned loudly as he slapped your pussy with the riding crop. With a displeased expression, Ran spoke. “After telling you time and again, you still don’t get it do you? I’m the one who says when I want this” he trailed, giving a few light taps to your clit with the soft leather at the end of the whip; “And when to stop” he said with finality in his voice as he brought his hand down and spanked your pussy. With jolts of pain and pleasure traveling down your body, your back arched off the bed as Ran watched your display with a smirk paying on his lips. “This” he said trailing his finger down to your womanhood, pulling at the folds that covered your sensitive nub “is mine”. Using his fingers to expose the sensitive nub, he brought the edge of the leather tip of the whip and rubbed the edge against it, gently. You felt your toes curl and a loud gaps broke last your lips, as you savored the feeling of the soft leather brushing against your clit. “Feel good?” Ran asked with a gentle smile, continuing to rub the your clit. Nodding in response, you moaned at the feeling of your pussy being ravaged by nothing but the edge of a flimsy leather that covered the top of an object that could inflict pain and pleasure at the same time. Pulling the leather away Ran spanked your naked slit once more before growling “What did I fucking say?”.
“Hai Ran Sama” you whimpered in response.
“With the way you’re behaving, it’s even a surprise you expect me to fuck you tonight. You’re even lucky I’m putting in so much effort of getting you off. Made my hand all filthy” Ran said, showing his hand before you, dripping in your essence. Parting your lips with the tip of his thumb, he pushed it in. Maintaining eye contact, you sucked the tip of his thumb. Blinking with a shade of red across hips cheeks, Ran pushed his thumb all the way. Moving your tongue from the base of his thumb to the tip, you could taste the saltiness of your juices on his skin. Ran watched you through half lidded eyes that pronounced hsi lust for you. With a playful bite to the tip of his thumb, you watched him moan. With a hiss, he pulled away from his thumb from your face. With a growl and feral expression, he straddled your chest, slipping his dick between your breasts. Pushing the tip to your chin, you looked at hsi figure above you with a questioning gaze. “Well it ain’t gonna suck itself Ningyo Chan. If you wanna get on my good side and go to bed with your brains fucked out, I suggest you getting to it immediately” Ran said, giving shallow thrusts between your breasts, balls nestled within the warm crevice of your skin. Opening your mouth, you licked at the tip slowly... a little too slow for the likes of Ran before he pushed his dick halfway through your mouth. “Ooto” Ran said dramatically with a hiss “it slipped”. Drawing his hips back, he pushed himself forward, completely sheathing himself into your warm and wet cavern. “You know better than to use your teeth darling. So, I better not feel them” Ran said with a chuckle before moaning at the feeling of your throat constricting around the sensitive skin of his shaft. Pulling your wrists against the constraints that were tied to either side of the bed spot, you had no choice but to take all of him. Choking and gagging around his cock, your eyes began to trail up towards his face. Watching his hips move back and forth, with the flexing of his v lines and abs made your eyes roll back in ecstasy and it made your pussy more wet. Moving your gaze higher, you watched as sweat began to build up on his chest and shoulders. His neck shined under dim lights as sweat clung to his skin. Digging his fist into the messy sheets on either side of your head, Ran moaned in ecstasy, loosing sanity as he moved his hips back and forth with a fast pace, chasing his high desperately. Gurgling around his dick, Ran pulled away before he could cum. Resting his balls against the soft skin of your mounds, he chuckled. Ruffling your hair with his hand, he said “As much as I’d like to cream on these tits” reaching his hand and giving a playful slap to your nipple, making you yelp “or face” he continued mindlessly, caressing your lips with a gentle touch “my cum is reserved for your pussy tonight”. Reaching a hand towards the post of the bed, he untied both your hands. Taking them into the warmth of your chest, you rotated them, feeling sore and stiff. Before you could process what was happening, you felt Ran grab your hips and flip your on your stomach. Pulling your hips towards his pelvis, you felt ran rut into your ass with his hard cock. Using the head of his dick, he began to rub through your sensitive folds. Teasing you by slipping his tip in and out of your weeping cunt, Ran chuckled as you began to rut your hips back against him. With a heavy smack of his hand, you twisted the sheets beneath your tightly clenched fists, biting a yell into the pillow.
“Still haven’t worked on your impatience huh. Don’t worry darling we’ll get to that” Ran said in a teasing tone. Rubbing his dick against your wet folds, he began to piston his hips into your warm and inviting pussy. “Ahh… feel your naughty little pussy clenching around me. Did you miss me that much?” Ran taunted, holding your hips against him with a bruising grip. You felt your knees move back and forth along with the creaking of the bed from the force Ran used to thrust into you. You could feel the drag of his dick along the soft walls of your greedy pussy which only became more wet as you imagined what Ran looked like while you closed your eyes. Panting, Ran slapped your ass twice before slowing his pace. You whined in need as you felt the slow drag of his dick in and out of your squelching walls. Knowing that your tantrums would only encourage him more to deny you what you desired, you let him have his way with you. Noticing your behavior, Ran came to a stop, still sheathed inside you. Moving forward, he littered your neck and shoulder with sweet kisses before moving closer to your earlobe. “See? Doesn’t it feel good to be a good girl for me? All you had to do was listen to what I said and look” he trailed, one hand reaching to play with your clit while the other held you by your throat against his chest. Thrusting up into you a couple of times, he pulled way from you completely, making you feel empty. Flipping you to face him, you felt your back hit the mattress with Ran over your naked form. Wasting no time at all, he lifted one of your legs, creating an opening to bury himself inside you. “I want you to look down. And don’t you dare look away” Ran whispered huskily into your ear, gently biting the shell of it. Engulfing your wrists above your head while his free hand pressed your hips down, Ran begun to move. Giving shallow and slow thrusts at first, he increased his pace while you watched his every move. You watched as your spread legs moved back and forth with every powerful and deep thrust Ran gave, the way his abs clenched and expanded with every breath he took and the way his dick would disappear in and out of you. You could hear the sinful sounds of your squelching pussy being pounded into by Ran’s dick and his breathy moans and pants near your ear. Biting into your shoulder, Ran’s hand moved from the side of your hip towards your clit, beginning to rub his fingers as slow circles over your sensitive clit. With a graze of his nail against it, you moaned loudly, clenching your fists into the messy sheets bunched above you. Staring into your eyes, Ran pressed his dick deeper into you, aiming for a particular spot he had touched before which made your eyes roll back in ecstasy. Balancing himself on his knees, he rocked his hips into you at a steady pace. Feeling his rhythm you could feel yourself reaching the peak of satisfaction. After the many orgasms you had had tonight, you knew the most pleasurable would that of Ran. Pulling his hands away from your’s that were held above you, Ran pulled himself back while continuing to thrust himself in and out of your messy pussy. Grabbing you by the waist, he connected your thighs with his by placing you onto his lap. Using one hand to push your back, he held the side of your face, closing his eyes and breathing the scent of your scent mixed with his accompanied with his heavy panting as he thrust up into your heat. Holding onto his shoulders, you moved your hips with his in sync. Licking his fingertips, he brought his digits to your aching clit while your thighs slapped against his, chest pressed against each other.
“Cum when I count down to one” Ran said, switching his pace from slow and sensual to that of a much rough and fast one whilst tugging at the roots of your hair. Forcing you to look at him, Ran continued to thrust into you. Feeling yourself edge close to an orgasm, he began to count slowly.
“Five”
You breathed heavy in impatience but didn’t dare to make a move as you knew you were on thin ice. If you wanted to cum at all tonight, you had to abide by Ran’s rules. Biting into his shoulder in defiance. Ran continued to buck his hips into yours, throwing his head back with a main at the pleasure of feeling your teeth on his shoulder.
“Four”
He said in an exasperated breath, continuing to circle his fingers around your sensitive Could feel your toes curl, trying to shift your mind from controlling an orgasm.
“Three”
And he started bucking his hips into yours, skin slapping against skin, placing his hand on your outer calf, massaging into slow and circular motions, coaxing you to give into your desires that came at a consequence.
“Two”
He said with a taunting grin, waiting for you to make a mistake where he would deny you until you cried and begged to cum as he slowed down his pace stilling within you. Snapping your eyes wide open you screamed, “Why did you stop?”? With a rut of your hips, you tried to move against him only to be stopped by his hands that were placed on your bare hips. “Uh uh uh” Ran teased. “I did say to cum when I said ‘one’. I didn’t say anything about the ‘when’ Ningyo - Chan”. Tears forming at the corner of your eyes, you realized there would no way out other than begging and inflating the bastard’s ego. Pulling back to meet his eyes, with a pleading gaze you spoke. “Please Ran-sama. I need it. I need you. Please move already”
With a smirk on his lips, he began to thrust in and out of of you. “You’ll be my good girl?” Ran asked in amusement, watching your face twist in pleasure, eyes closing to savor the feeling. “Yes. Just give it to me” you begged and let your hips sway with his. With his skillful fingers he toyed with your clit till you found yourself on the verge of an orgasm. “Hold it” he commanded and his words were the law. Preventing yourself from letting you bit your lip hard enough to draw blood, anything that could keep you from suffering the consequences of the sadistic man who held you. Continuing to play with your clit with one hand while the other massaged the cheeks of your ass, he said with finality. “Cum for me”.
With a loud moan, you could feel your eyes roll into the back of your skull, sweat going cold on your body which was once warm and your toes curl in satisfaction with shivers down your spine in pleasure. Giving a few shallow thrusts, Ran came with a moan, exposing the tattoo on his neck and hair in a disarray but attractive nonetheless. Feeling his warm seed inside you, Ran halted his movements with a drop of his weight, forcing the both of you to crash into the mattress behind you. Grabbing the roots of your hair with need and want instead of anger and frustration at your actions, Ran pulled his head back and littered your skin with soft wet kisses while you hummed in satisfaction of the afterglow. As he begun to pull out, you noticed the red marks on your thigh from the whippings he gave earlier.
“Shoulda done it with a limit, bastard” you muttered, touching the throbbing skin.
“What can I say? My baby is a little masochist” Ran said with a smile while kissing your lips, pulling away with a bite. Grabbing the whip that was abandoned on the side of the bed and giving him a playful slap with it on his thigh you said "Maybe I should do it to you instead".
With a wide smile on his face Ran said

Legends of Alepheria HB: Arc II
With the group having finished arc 2 of the campaign, I present all the Fabula Ultima homebrew I made for it! Learn of the previous arc here!
This time, the party traveled through the once vibrant country of Oxtali to reach Ifrit's temple after dealing with Chronepsis. Now reduced to nothing but a dying desert filled with demons, Oxtali is a hostile land ruled by an oligarchy that used the opportunity to claim their place as rulers. The heroes found themselves making their way to the home of one of Merlot, a bandit outpost for the Lost Crop led by Sashimi. There they encountered Freya, the Red of the Council of Five. A dangerous assassin, duelist, and mage, Freya had taken over the outpost in an attempt to capture the priestess of Ifrit who'd found refuge there while trying to travel back home after the war between Oxtali and Cescayle when she was young. But after a nail biting duel, Freya was defeated and returned to Cid to plot her revenge. With that done, the party took on the role of protecting the child priestess, Mia, and made their way towards the temple, where the grizzled veteran, Ba'vesk, found his and Mia's home, Kaloo-Ha, now laid in ruins.
Destroyed while away at war thanks to one of the four lunar beasts, Nightmare, and it's demonic rider, the Warbreaker, made from the corpse of one of Ba'vesk's friends, Kaloo-Ha was filled with demons and dangers. Yet they showed no fear and defeated the duo of bosses at the east end of the town. The Arcanum of the Moon, Tsukoyomi showed respect to the party arcanist, Flint, for reeling in one of his menagerie and joining his collection as a summon with Chronos, Arcanum of the Wheel and Titania, Arcanum of the Oak. Ba'vesk even forgave his old friend and freed him from the torment that turned him into a demon. But now, they were to fight Ifrit.
Mia and Flint raised the buried temple and Mia summoned Ifrit with her powers. Turning the temple into a fiery hellscape, the party dispatched the corrupt Arcanum of the Forge that sought to kill them and remake the world. But Cid and Freya had found them and using his airship, sent artillery fire against the temple. Thanks to Sashimi with stolen transportation crystals left by Freya's forces, they were able to escape unharmed by Cid's attack and return to the Lost Crop Outpost. Now, Ramuh was in sight and Endell and Valicia were near. The party ready to embark on their next journey.
Constructs
What's Alepheria without the riftworks? Constructs constructed by Cid in the future to gather the resources of the past, while also functioning as a personal army for the Council of Five. The ones Chronepsis used were a bit out of date and clunky, but Cid has made some upgrades to the basic unit so that it no longer is disabled entirely in the night.
Rift Soldier Mk. 2 Traits: empowered by light, emotionless, glowing, loyal Level 20 Construct DEX d10 / INS d6 / MIG d10 / WLP d8 Initiative +8 / HP: 90 (45) / MP: 60 Defense: [DEX] + 1 / Magic Defense: [INS] + 2 Resistances: Air, Earth Vulnerabilities: Bolt, Dark Immunities: Poison Absorb: Light

Demons
Oxtali is home to 4 dangerous breeds of demons, spawned when negative emotions corresponding to hunger, death, disease, or war overtake someone. Killing them and corrupting their bodies into a malevolent force for evil. However, this only occurs when near the corrupting influence of the fallen moon. But, due to Oxtali's once vibrant export of mining the fallen moon for resources necessary for magitek, its people easily were overcome in time.

Special Rules: Demonic Affinity: The warbreaker is immune to enraged and weak. Violent Aura: The warbreaker's allies' attacks deal an additional 5 damage.
Villains
The two villains the party fought in actual combat were Ifrit and Nightmare. As the Arcanum of the Forge and god of flames, Ifrit was a serious threat damage wise, but the party came well prepared and survived the encounter. However, with the combined might of the Warbreaker, Nightmare proved to be a deadly foe and dealt Ba'vesk a near killing blow with its shadowy magics while empowered by the moonlight.

Hellfire Apocalypse: When Ifrit enters Crisis for the first time, he cannot be targeted, loses all actions, and summons 4 infernal weaponry. All infernal weaponry immediately leaves the scene. Molten Armor: When Ifrit is hit by a melee attack, the attacker suffers 5 fire damage. If Ifrit suffers damage of a type he is Vulnerable to, he loses the benefits of this Skill until the end of the round.

Other Actions: Shadow Fade: Nightmare fades into shadows and can no longer be targeted by attacks (spells and other effects can still be used against it). This benefit lasts until the start of Nightmare's next turn, or until Nightmare loses any amount of Hit Points.
Special Rules: Living Nightmare: While in Crisis, Nightmare is immune to all status effects, and night terrors terrify everyone else present on the scene: other ceatures lose 5 MP at the end of each round.
Armory
What's a hero without their weapon or armor? Pretty easy to kill! I made a much larger variety of magic rewards for this arc compared to the last one. Many tailored to specific PCs or classes. I'll only be sharing the more unique ones however.
Armor + Shields Aegis of Forgiveness [Martial Shield] 950 z - Defense +2 | Magic Defense +2 When you use the Protect skill on a creature in Crisis, it recovers 5 Hit Points.
Phoenix Feather Cloak 1400 z - DEX die +1 | INS die +1 | -1 You are resistant to fire and once per round recover 5 Hit Points when you deal fire damage.
Melee Weapons Encyclopedia Arcanum [Arcane] 800 z - [INS + INS] - [HR + 6] physical Two-handed - Melee - You gain a +2 bonus to Magic Checks against elementals, as well as a +2 bonus to Opposed Checks against elementals.
Thirteenth Hour [Martial Sword] 1000 z - [DEX + MIG] + 1 - [HR + 14] dark Two-handed - Melee - Damage dealt by this weapon ignores Resistances of targets you have a Bond of hatred towards and deals 5 extra damage.
Ranged Weapon Snow's Grace [Martial Firearm] 850 z - [DEX + WLP] - [HR + 8] ice One-handed - Ranged - You are immune to slow.
Arcanum
Tsukoyomi is the Arcanum of the Moon! A small white rabbit with a love for jade and magic, he has a menagerie of lunar empowered beasts, though 4 escaped centuries ago, but he never really bothering to retrieve them.
Arcanum of the Moon Domains: beasts, change, magic Merge: You are immune to dazed. When you recover Mind Points, you recover 5 extra Mind Points. Dismiss: When you dismiss this Arcanum, choose Astral Refuge or Astral Torrent: Astral Refuge. Each of your allies present on the scene recovers 20 Mind Points. Astral Torrent. Choose any number of creatures you can see: each of them loses 20 Mind Points and suffers dazed.
All's Well That Ends Well
That's it for now! With the party on trek to defeat Ramuh, Arcanum of the Sky and Hades, Arcanum of the Gate, things should get interesting. Especially once Freya finds them for a rematch! For now, enjoy this lovely sketch of Ifrit by @passioninblue.

Teen girls aren’t allowed to enjoy anything
and here’s my long ass essay about it :)
In youth pop culture, as well as pop culture in general, it’s generally a given that music movies, books, clothing, and other things that gain popularity will eventually fall out of style. On face level, this isn’t always a bad thing, but rather more of a function of society: when something is new, many people are interested, and as time passes, that number dwindles. Backlash and criticism is also a normal function of society, which can be very beneficial when done in good faith and with constructive purpose.
However, it’s quite notable that an overwhelming amount of criticism falls on things that generally have a large fan-following of teenage girls. This can cause them to feel embarrassed by wat they’re interested, or feel that being made fun of is inevitable.
In reality, though, things gain traction for a reason, and things widely loved by teenage girls aren’t often given the same analysis and consideration other things in pop culture are given.
While there is certainly media that isn’t beneficial and could negatively affect young girls, the things they like often go ridiculed by society due to a lack of consideration and deep analysis, as well as the constant sexist want of society to bring down young girls.
Older people in general have been known to blow off things popular in youth culture, which can sometimes be attributed to just not knowing or caring about it. On the more intense side, some are infuriated by it—and not always without reason. But when it comes to things that are popularized by teen girls, a deep and proper analysis is often not given. Instead, they focus on the surface-level negatives.
The Hunger Games is a clear example of this. The series, which revolves around a teen girl forced into a game where she has to murder other kids, is widely condemned as being far too violent and a potential threat to the innocence of young girls.
On the first look, it’s clear that this widespread opinion doesn’t stem from nothing; the series is violent, and mainly young girls read it. However, if one goes even a bit beyond the surface level of the series instead of being initially outraged, it actually shows a complex society and story of revolution with themes of corrupt media and propaganda, separation of class by wealth, and way both sides of a political argument or war can be corrupt.
Take the 12 Districts in the series: the Capital is at the top with the most wealth and ability to abuse, and lowest number Districts are under the illusion that they’re the same. Author Suzanne Collins develops this complex idea in her story by showing that while people in the Districts have different levels of wealth and resources, in the end, they’re all still forced to put their children to death.
In the grand scheme of things, they’re all just as powerless against those at the top. It reflects the nuances of Capitalistic societies and class divisions in a thoughtful way. This can actually really benefit girls, especially since the protagonist is someone they can see themselves as.
A much more widespread example of the ridicule young girls endure for the things they like is fashion. Overall, fashion for girls has progressed in a way that over time has become more diverse and accepting. It’s not uncommon to see girls in long jeans and sweaters, but it it’s also not uncommon to see them in more revealing clothes like crop-tops.
The way girls dress is taken issue with by many adults and even school systems, shown by dress codes that often ban shirts—even if they only reveal a girl’s shoulders. These girls are often told they’re being too provocative or dressing for boys, which strips them of their individuality and is certainly not the case. Many girls dress this way because they want to.
Furthermore, the diverse and growing willingness to be experimental with what they wear shows something wildly different than the harmful predetermination: reclamation of their bodies. Throughout history, girls have been shamed this same way—often more intensely. So, by defying these criticisms, teen girls are showing they feel more free and more confident in what they look like and are perceived as, which is something everyone should want for them.
When things like this are torn down by others, it can affect the girls immense negative ways and cause them to lose confidence. When the benefits are ignored by society, this is often what happens. The positives of more experimental and unique media and styles that interest young girls are at best ignored and at worst ridiculed when not given proper analysis and understanding.
While some criticisms of youth girl pop culture can be attributed to ignorance and lack of poper analysis, it would be even more ignorant to ignore the root of these issues: sexism.
When comparing the things young boys take interest in with what girls of the same age do, one clearly causes more outrage than the other. This can be seen by the blind outrage thrown at things like youth romance novels.
When the young adult romance book Twilight came out, real criticisms of the story were often drowned out by people making fun of its fans, which was majorly young girls. They were ridiculed by people often much older for liking something perceived as stupid. This can discourage girls from allowing themselves to enjoy such things, which is harmful because books like these often give girls hope and bring just pure happiness to them, which is immensely important as they grow up.
Furthermore, young girls are often criticized for liking the same things boys do to a much further extent. Video games, which are often violent, are traditionally played by boys. While these games draw a lot of criticism for aspects of violence and shooting, it has nothing to do with the fact that the audience is boys.
Girls, however, are often personally disparaged from playing such games because they’re too “masculine” and just not made for them. This discourages young girls from finding out what they enjoy and forces them to limit what they take part in.
In the end, even with the hate they often undergo, young girls haven’t stopped boldly and unapologetically enjoying what they love, but it is through their perseverance that they’re able to do so.
Tumblr media
Final note: If we’re being honest, we all have a bit of internalized sexism and judge without thinking about potential effects on others. Sexism won’t cease to exist easily, but if we only take the time to consider our motives—even subconscious ones—we can help stifle our biases and most importantly, create a healthy environment where girls can express themselves.
TL;DR
Society loves to put girls down and make fun of everything they like, which stems from sexism and lack of analysis. In reality, there’s often real, important purpose to the things they enjoy. I also definitely used The Hunger Games and Twilight as examples :)
