Scenes from the trail today. This is Rivoulich Forest and Creag Ard. I find the striations in the rock here both beautiful and fascinating. They've lain here undisturbed for around 400,000 years. That's young in comparative terms; some of the rock further west is among the oldest on the planet at 3 billion years. I love the peace and the solitude. We neither saw nor heard a soul. Just us and the expansive landscape of the Highlands. Us? Oh yes. Bailey and me. Of course.
