🧶 New Year, New Craft: My Adventure in Needle Felting 🐑
Hey Tumblr fam! Guess who decided to shake things up this year? Yep! I've dived headfirst into the world of needle felting, and oh boy, what a ride it's been!
First things first: these little felted creatures? Unbearably cute! 😍 I mean, have you seen how adorable a tiny wool animal can be? It's enough to make your heart melt!
But let me tell you, it's not all fluffy clouds and rainbow dreams. The number of times I've stabbed my fingers with that felting needle? Countless! 🩹 I swear, my fingers have developed a fight-or-flight response to anything pointy now.
Is it challenging? Absolutely. Is it time-consuming? You bet. Do I love it anyway? 100% yes!
There's something magical about watching a shapeless tuft of wool transform into a little character under your (occasionally bleeding) fingertips. It's like sculpting, but softer and more unpredictable.
So here I am, bandaged fingers and all, completely hooked on this new craft adventure. Who knows what I'll create next? Stay tuned for more woolly wonders and misadventures in stabbing fluff!
Have any of you tried needle felting? Got any tips for a newbie with sensitive fingertips? Drop your wisdom in the comments!

Got the head sewn together and was starting on the body when the sewing machine needle fell out mid-stitch and then the machine bent it so I’m done for the night 🤷🏻♀️ #plush #sewing #craftadventures

I recently acquired a Cricut Explore Air 2 machine, which is kind of like a printer except that it doesn't print, it cuts things out. It also draws and scores stuff, but I got it mainly for the cutting because I cut out so many tiny shapes, flower petals, patterns, etc. that I might actually wind up giving myself carpal tunnel or something. With a Cricut I can make a machine and my laptop do some of the more repetitive work now. Since I'm in the middle of learning how it all works, and just for fun, I designed some paper chain dolls in Illustrator, shrunk them to dollhouse sized, and ran a cheap piece of copy paper through to see how it turned out. -Yeah, that is pretty amazing. Near perfect, cut out faster than I could do it on my own. This machine has opened up so many possibilities... #cricut #cricutexploreair2 #dollhouseminiatures #paperdolls #microminiatures #papercraft #craftadventure #bykylelefort #illustrator #adobeillustrator #paperchain #paperchaindolls #possibilities
