Hey there everyone! I know I just started this blog but I wanted to talk to you today about custody battles and fighting over your children, I hope that I can reach out to parents and children going through this. I'm 20 years old and I've never had my  parents together for as long as I've been alive, I don't know what it's like. I lived with my mom for 13 years then went to live with my dad for 4 years, my dad and his whole family disowned me when I went to go live with my moms mom and dad. Why? I have no idea. My sisters on the other hand who are 15 and almost 13, they both got to experience a mom and dad household, they were married for 8 years. Their father was emotionally, financially, and verbally abusive to my mom. He would call her names in front of us kids, he would go away for some weekends and sometimes even during the week and left my mother no money for anything, not even food. Finally my mom left him, all she had were a few bags of clothes and us kids. She left him literally everything, even the house they bought together. Now both of my sisters have decided they want to live with my mom rather than their dad. When we asked the girls why they would want to live with us rather than dad their answer was appalling to me; "dad calls me names, like a pizza face slut, a cunt, tells me I'm worthless, accuses me of being pregnant when I'm still a virgin" we tried to reason with them telling them to wait till court, the girls agreed. The next weekend we saw them they begged and pleaded for us to not take them back, the 15 year old looked at me and my mom and said if you take me back I'm taking my younger sister and we are running away. As a parent what would you do? Do you sent your kids back to have them run away? Or do you keep them and risk being in contempt of your court order? I will tell you what my mom did. She kept the girls told their dad they wouldn't be coming back. My mom now has the 15 year old and their dad picked up the 12 almost 13 year old, she went with him from school because she was terrified not to go with him. What Ould you honestly do in this situation? The fact that your kids are absolutely terrified of their father is disgusting to me.. Long story short its been a long 2 weeks of running back and forth to the court house because now not only does my mom have a custody battle going on, she now has a contempt of court order where her ex is asking for the 15 year old to return home. The 15 year old is in cadets and she love it, her dad is the Major of her cadet squadron and he is telling her she can’t return to cadets unless she comes home. Technically he cannot keep her from coming to cadets if she has not been discharged for a reason relating to cadets, not her personal life. So what in hell can we do? Do we send her, or do we not? Its constant back back and forth of questions and trying to figure out what to do next. On another note; I got a $30 parking ticket for parking in a no parking zone today at the court house, can it get any worse? Honestly!! Until next time, -StandingTallThroughEverthing-
