Something tragic I think about in Code Vein is that Cruz was so nice, so beloved, so kind and selfless to everyone around her…

…that no one had the heart to put her out of her misery even when she begged, leading her to eventually frenzy and become the Queen. That’s sad. Her kindness was her and humanity’s downfall.
