Love-hate relationship with the Yrliet's spirit stone breaking storyline because on the one hand, I feel like the thing with Eklendyl in Commorragh created a misunderstanding that didn't need to be there but on the other hand....yeah even if I square it she *should* still be able to find a stone and someone to attune it to her. But on the other other hand I think I get what they were going for but the epilogue makes that point unsatisfying.

#idk if that makes sense or not #but it dead souls ≠ living ones so the chess piece transfer doesnt necessarily mean he can just Pokeball Yrliet into a new one just as easy #but also it KINDA makes sense her spirit stone breaks and why itd be harder to get her a new one #shes a living adult w a lot of experiences and theres a reason you start attunement as a child #and as she says she chose her bond w the RT over her Craftworlder loyalty #BUT #Corsairs exist and potentially although we dont know cuz GW Elf Lore is like pulling teeth #but if a Way Seeker could attune her she might be able to get a new one #it just depends on how strong “being a humanlover” is a negative soul weight for a fresh attunement #which i dont see why it would be #but i think that scene is maybe inspired by what happens w that Incubus in Dark Son #which while not by my fave author does give better context to why its not easy to “just get one” even if you physically have one on hand #although too as i already said a lot of things only make sense if you forget Corsairs and their vague lore are an option
