What are some head canons you have?

For Corintheus:

- Ok so I’ve touched on this in Baiting the Trap but Dream finds the Corinthian’s rebellion easier to deal with in comparison to the others because it wasn’t because Dream ‘left’ the Dreaming. It’s not the assumption that Dream would abandon his role. The Corinthian deliberately left him trapped rather than thinking the worst of him in other ways. Dream believes that if the Corinthian hadn’t rebelled he’d have been in the Dreaming with Lucienne when he finally escaped (or he’d have tried to find him and free him).

- Dream is incredibly jealous and possessive. But the Corinthian usually doesn’t trigger it because he’s also jealous and possessive. If he took his eyes off Dream for a moment to screw with someone else in the same way he might find himself in trouble.

- This is something @aisalynn and I have spoken about. But…the Corinthian brings Dream eyes to snack on because he likes hand feeding them to him. He’ll pick the best tasting Dreamer’s to take them from, then bring them to Dream, and seductively whisper a little description of how he’d cultivated the taste just for him.

For Corinthian&Lucienne

- Them teaming up for a mutual goal would result in the single most powerful and effective duo to ever grace the Dreaming. Imagine them standing behind Dream as they both glare at you. Their rivalry is the only thing preventing them both from being unstoppable.

- They used to be somewhat friendly before the Corinthian rebelled. His betrayal hurt Lucienne too. When he reappeared in the Dreaming she was actually happy to see him, and when he left again after their tense discussion she was angry at herself for thinking she could trust him.

- He likes to mess around with her under the guise of ‘just playing around’ so the Corinthian will rearrange sections of the library, or trick her into visiting far off areas of the Dreaming. (For a ship version of this I think the Corinthian would realise he’s flirting with her/doing it for her attention and go through a period where he’d adamantly deny it)

- I’ve written this in a fic I’ve not posted but…the Corinthian is insanely jealous of how much Dream trusts her. And it leads to a lot of ‘you think you’re better than me’ type baggage. Which could be very interesting in a ship context too.

Let's see tho, I'm in love with all of Mare Adamantis's works , especially the ones with Desire!!! (everyone say thank u Mare Adamantis for opening our eyes to DesireCori) And the coffeeshop au!!! And the ones in which we see snippets of Cori being created and Dream kinda,,, toying with him (ouch) and also the recurring little motif of Dream just,,, doing away with any part of him he doesn't like, including memories so Cori doesn't have any ownership of even himself ;; (big ouch). And ofc the neglect. It's a very angsty dynamic and it feeds me so hard. Read all their fics bc theyre all incredible

There's also Baiting the Trap my beloved,,, I made my Esteemed Friend (who is not into sandman btw) read it and she gave it a glowing review (in her words, ahem, "OOH BOYE") Each new update takes me out.
