Marlene couldn’t stay at her brother’s side forever, much as he knew she wished to. The woman had to eat, sleep and be treated herself. Dirk had stepped in, promising profusely to watch the sleeping boy until she was back, luckily Marlene had already spoken with him some so that helped calm her enough to rest, she’d need all the strength she could muster for the next few months, he couldn’t imagine what she, what they both were feeling. 

And Dirk had never been very good at sitting still, so he was crocheting; his efforts were mediocre at best but it was more so he had something to do with his hands while he watched the sleeping boy, his gaze flicking to the door every time a shadow went past. When Liam stirred, he froze mid-stitch, eyes trained on the younger man. 

“Hi,” he said softly, as Liam’s eyes opened, “Marlene’s here, she’s asleep in her own room Liam, you’re safe.” he said, words slow and clear, “Do you want me to get her for you?” she needed rest but... Marlene would likely kill him if he didn’t offer her brother the opportunity to be with her.

Cassandra was rarely ever concerned about someone but she couldn’t help thinking about Liam or about how he was doing. He hadn’t answered any of her texts which worried her slightly. She was beginning to feel clingy, something she didn’t enjoy, but that didn’t stop her from going to his house to check up on him. Cassie knocked on the door quickly as soon as she was in range, not taking any time to think it through. She had thought too much before leaving her own house, she didn’t feel like turning back now.

The feeling was nice. Hot water all around his naked body, the scent of the termals filling his lungs antagonized only by the scent of Liam himself, the quiet and empty place because nobody came to this safe haven during week days. As much as Theo didn’t want to hand it to him, Liam’s idea to bring him here had been a rather good one.

A deep sigh escaped him as he sank even lower in the water, his chin grazing the surface.

“And to think this was my idea to get you to keep your cool. I played myself.”

There were ecosystem’s everywhere, even in abandoned buildings. The whole reason he was here was due to a large nesting of bats that he was being silent to avoid disturbing as he took stock of them. The building was hardly usable anymore, he’d heard the fire department regularly needed to keep an eye on it for structural safety purposes but he was much more interested in the nesting mammals above him.

Chou’s attention was diverted when he heard a crunch on the floor and whipped around, seeing a man in the doorway, his uniform denoting him as a member of the fire department. Without speaking, he gestured up at the bats before beginning to silently move to leave the building, motioning for the other to follow.

You know, I’m not filming until summer which means I’m free to surf/not under any “insurance policy” right now. Can we please go sometime next week? I miss it and I feel like it’s been a minute since we’ve caught each other up on our lives. I mean, if you’re in LA, that is. I can never keep track of you. If you’re home in Aus, consider me very envious. I was just there but I miss it so much already. @lilhemmy​

“... Did you tell Mason we’re sleeping together?” he asked, out of the blue, in the middle of a crowded high school hallway.

Granted, he meant sleeping in the literal sense of the word. He had been sneaking into Liam’s bed almost religiously every night for the past week now. It was, actually, quite a marvel nobody had noticed... Or so he thought.

“Because I think he’s throwing shade at me for it and you better make it stop before I punch him.”

You always have an invite! We're practically family at this rate. You're going to be so shocked how much they've grown since you have seen them! And you still have to meet Rey! She's going to melt your heart. How have you been? What's new with you? @theliamhems

An invite to see the home? Now I can't deny that. I'll be there after Halloween. Is he? That's cute! You know I'd help teach him if you want. I need to come see the kids anyway. I'm sure they've grown a lot since I have last. || @margseliserobbie

Plus, you need to come see our house! And we need to get Axel out on the water. He's obsessed with the beach and being in the water so I think he'll love surfing! Can you imagine a tiny little surfboard? Well - you probably could with your nieces/nephews! @theliamhems

You have me sold just saying all of that alone. Surfing, Neighbours reunion and Austraila? All my weak points in one. It really has been, guess I'm really over due for it and I miss home. So, I'm down, it's happening. || @margseliserobbie
