None of the Highlander sequels were good but I was entertained by all of them in their own way
#3 is probably the weakest? like 2 and 4 are quite bad in their own ways but they have redeeming elements I find really interesting#and 3 does too! there’s a magician! he has a boy! a baby boy! I like his girlfriend. she’s in crash. but like. weak villain weak finale#it just has less going on! and 2 is like. a bad movie but it’s an INSANE bad movie I had the time of my LIFE watching it. Sean Connery gets#a makeover montage. highlanders are actually aliens. Virginia Madsen is there. Michael Ironside plays a guy named katana. and half of 4 is#about duncan Macleod who’s hashtag not my Highlander but bizarrely the emotional core of the movie really works for me. also I like that#Connor kills a priest like that’s insane. and of course the SIMMERING homoeroticism#‘don’t you want to be inside me’ <- they say this TWICE#anyway I haven’t seen the only Adrian Paul one I’m sure it’s bad#arggg I just remembered ‘I love you connor’ followed by an immediate decapitation…
