Maybe its because i dont lurk around that much in the tag but i dont see enough rosemary condependency being portrayed in the fandom like I have seen with Davekat, but tbh their codependency always have felt like smt cutesy for the fandom instead of something that would actually affect the relationships with the rest of their friends, so its not like we're winning in either end

As much as I would love to see the writers of Rick and Morty focus more on Morty's trauma instead of pushing it to the side or sweeping it under the rug to focus on Morty's trauma, I kinda wanna see Beth and Jerry's thoughts on Rick and Morty's codependency. Like are they aware of it? Because, like it or not, they are partially responsible for their condependency, due to the emotional neglect they give to Morty, and the lack of boundaries they give to Rick. They just let Rick drag their son on dangerous adventures and never say anything about it. Like, wouldn't it be interesting to see an episode where Beth notices Rick and Morty's codependency and blames herself for it? I dunno, I feel like it would be cool. It could also open the door for character development, like of Beth and Jerry becoming better and more assertive parents. I dunno, what do y'all think?

hi!! may i please ask if you know of any indicators of codependency in composite charts? the guy that i'm interested in asked me out recently, but i'm starting to have second thoughts and a very strong feeling that our relationship won't end well. our composite chart has a couple of placements that i'm concerned about, and i would really appreciate your thoughts on them. thank you for your time!!

(1) 12H sagittarius pluto at 21°:

- conjunct sagittarius ASC at 23°

- opposite 7H gemini moon at 23°

- square 4H pisces juno at 26°

(2) 2H aquarius mars at 6°:

- conjunct 2H aquarius neptune at 14°

- opposite 8H cancer saturn at 29°

Your gut feeling is right. Mars conjunct Neptune in your case could point to codependent issues. But also I would say if Composite Pluto is in the 12th house, yes the connection (if ever ends) could end in tension. But Sagittarius Ascendant could also mean either marriage or non-committal energy. But since yours it's at 23, Aquarius degree, I think you are actually pretty independent. Probably one of the few connections that you feel like you can still be with the person, but also be your own independent human being. 7th house Moon in Composite can also be a bit codependent, but it's Gemini Moon and at 23 (Aquarius) degree, so you're still alright, probably there will be distance in the connection honestly. Second house Mars is also not that bad.

I think this Composite of yours, it has the potential to be condependent, but only if you allow it. Because there are so so many detachment placements as well, that it really points to you two being your own two individuals as well within the connection. I just think the one less mature (because I sense an age difference here), the one less emotionally mature (not the one who is younger in age) might need to rebalance themselves a bit and focus on building a life that they are content in, so that they don't rely too much on the connection to get happy feelings.

I never posted a list of my favorite books I read last year, so here's something brief (with links to posts I made about the books, if I did):

Fiction:

Bloom by Delilah S Dawson: An F/F horror romance that I would describe as "An Eroguro Yuri Yandere Visual Novel Bad End In Western Book Form." A woman coming out of a terrible break-up, and cutting her mother out of her life before uprooting to a town where she knows no one, falls head-over-heels for a beautiful and eccentric woman at the farmer's market. A downward spiral into obsessive love ensues. Short, sweet, perfect build-up, would recommend for an easy fun grotesque read. (Major CW warnings: short but graphic descriptions of past CSA and violent animal death.) Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh: a young human girl growing up on a space station of the remainder of human separatists, waging a fruitless war against the alien empire that decimated humanity years ago, suddenly has to confront the fact her entire upbringing and understanding of the universe and its politics and the foundation upholding her beliefs and ideals was a lie. There's F/F and M/M romance but they're not the focus (and tbh not very satisfying. The story is satisfying.) has one of the most artfully written explorations of the horror of incestuous grooming that I've ever seen written. Major CW: Characters facing racism, Incest and ever-present threats of sexual violence and forced pregnancy.

The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling: F/F SF horror fiction: a woman lies about her credentials to take on a very dangerous, but lucrative, cave diving job in order to escape her backwater mining planet has the slow realization that her employer and handler does NOT have her best interests at heart. A terrifying visceral psychological horror that spirals out of control into an emotionally and mentally abusive romantic relationship. What's better than this, two women becoming unhealthily and abusively condependent as they face the horrors of deep caves, isolation and family trauma together.

Walking Practice by Dolki Min, tl. Victoria Caudle: A South Korean self-published novel translated into English, about a carnivorous, shapeshifting alien trapped on Earth who uses dating apps to find its prey amongst the lonely citizens of a major city. A very harrowing exploration of social isiolation and ostracization of people who fall outside the majority norms, with a definite focus on disability, sexuality and transgressive gender.

The Wicked and the Willing An F/F Gothic Horror Vampire Novel by Lianyu Tan: What the title says lol. This takes place in colonial-era Singapore, where our heroine Gean Choo takes on a job as working as a live-in housekeeper for wealthy white European Verity Edevane, who she's drawn to and desires despite every single warning flag, and is introduced to Po Lam, Edevane's faithful and most trusted employee. And then Gean Choo realizes her new employer is a vampire and handsome Po Lam, who has been murdering young women for her to feed off for years, is determined to protect her. This novel does not go the way you will think it might go. There is a lot going on it that I LOVED and really recommend it. Major CW: Characters facing Racism throughout and descriptive discussion of past CSA that comes up several times.

Nonfiction & Poetry:

Wanting: Women Writing About Desire: A nonfiction anthology of short memoir pieces where women from a very diverse background and of diverse identities, write about their relationships to sex, their bodies, and the act of desiring. I really, really am glad I read this. There is some of the most thoughtful and truthful, uncensored, writing on the complicated sides of being a CSA survivor, that I've ever read, in this book. Many women also write about the intersections of sexual desire and race and culture, transgender status, non-straight sexuality, disability.

Cartographies of Desire: Male-male Sexuality in Japanese Discourse, 1600-1950 by Pflugfelder: A very comprehensive overview of the history of sexual and romantic relationships between men in Japan from the Edo Period through to the post-WW2 period, as well as government efforts to control and repress such relationships. I really appreciate this book because it heavily cites Japanese-language sources to show that the repression of homosexual relationships between men was not purely a part of Meiji-era Japan's process of "modernization" via adopting many Western moral and political concerns- control and repression of male-male sexual relationships has happened all throughout Japanese history, but for more complicated reasons than disgust and moral disapproval of men fucking.

Major CW: A lot of the text is about historical pederasty (that is, sexual relations between men over the age of 18 and boys under the age of 18) and sexual violence is a major element of what is examined.

I'm gonna add to this when I come home but I'll just post this for now since it's pretty long.

I don't really talk a lot of how the relationship between Karkat and Dave fucking exploded into million pieces in my Earth C au, like Dave leaved and ghosted almost everyone for 5 years but I don't really talk about WHY he did that

Yeah he wasnt perfect, he was probably as toxic as Karkat but god Karkat wasnt an angel in that relationship either

Both we're very hurt by trauma, for the time on the game or before it and because of years of going untreated and ignored it just started becoming worse and worse and affecting them and their relationship and they start to become really condependent on eachother which makes the issue of Karkat not being immortal worse because now Dave is worried Karkat will die and he is worried that he is immortal and he will never die

So when he founds out that Karkat DOESNT want to become immortal (because he thinks it's not fair for his friends that die in the game) their problems just fucking boil over and they start fighting nonstop about it, Dave thinking that this is Karkat essentially abandoning him while Karkat thinks it's unfair of Dave to ask him to be burden by a immortality he doesnt fucking want.

They're very unhappy but are still living together and being condependent on eachother and their friends are Very worried for them because it's not fucking healthy fighting all the time on a relationship and one day Dave realizes that He Does Not Want This for him and for Karkat and because the theme of him being immortal si affecting him very badly he decides to just

He doesnt tell anyone, he doesnt have a plan, he just leaves a note in the apartment, takes some things and leaves. Karkat returns home after a while and after realizing what happened he tries to contact him but he doesnt answer, he tells everyone that Dave just left and everyone is trying to contact him but he doesnt answer to anyone except June because she appears in front of him but June realizes that Dave wants this and even if she is so worried for him she lets him leave.

After that Karkat has a rough couple of months, probably the year, not only that, he is becoming insufferable. His self hating issues and inability to do something about his problem besides complaining come back full force and are just making things worse for him that they're already are

He almost loses the rest of his friends because of that, it's was rough and he actually started going to therapy because of the idea of losing his friends because of his own problems. It's not easy, he probably is close to quit a bunch of times and it would take him years to even start to unpack some of his problems, but he tries to better himself the best way he can.

And thats how he became the current version he is in the au. I don't really talk a lot of older Earth C Dave but he comes back after a couple of years, he went through his own journey while he was gone and thats all I can say at the moment about him

Ok I am in the twin mood and OC mood after all, so a small hc!

Luca's and Luke's relationship are kind of condependant in that special twin way. Where they are like that with the whole family, but it's so much more intense with their twin.

Luke is prone of putting on a mask of apathetic and cynical. He can be like that, but he doesn't like to show softness and silliness much(what he considers soft and silly). He likes to be treated seriously and wants to be Respected and Feared. He of course allows his family to peek in, but he shades it all for his twin.

Luca is silly and playful and dislikes to be held down. He gets angry if he doesn't undestand or like certain rules. He doesn't choose to be disrespectful, he is just very explosive and then too stubborn to back down. He does for his family, even if he is unhappy about it. He doesn't hesitate for his twin, putting away his displeasure.

Luke gets to be responsible for something while being soft for his twin. And Luca gets to have a partner in crime who matches his pace.

SPOILERS FOR A LAST OF US PART 2 (don't read if you don't know what happened in part 2)

So hear me out because I'm loseing my mind. I didn't play the game, but I mostly know what happend.

What if they made a small change for the season 2 and Joel tells Ellie the truth few days after they came back. Ellie knows that he lied, because she could sens that, and is not mad about this per se but she doesn't get it, so she asks him why he did it. Joel says that at the time it seamed like the only choice and that he already let one dughther die, he couldn't let it happend to another. He also says that if one day she decides to do it he will support her, but that it's not her resposabiility to save the world, that had been broken before she was even born and that she most than anyone deserves to live a happy life ( she's only forteen for fuck sake)

They both cry by the end and Ellie accepts this and forgives him and they leave together ( because it's insane to think that after what they been throught this two could leave in differerent homes without having anxiety and worrying about the other constantly, don't let me even mention they condependency) and have an amazing years even if full of hardships, because they both broken people.

Thought Abby still comes and Joel still dies (or he doesn't but we don't know until part 3 - can't you imagine the fucking reunion ❤) and Ellie still sees it. Would't it have a more impact on her, if they were in a good place and he's reaped from her life suddenly, instead of whatever they did in the game? 😢

I'm not ok with Joel dying, but I get it's important for this storyline, but at at least let me have this? 😭😢 This is the only way I will be able to accept this even if watching this will ruin me for sure.
