Lenovo “Express yourself” Valentine’s Day contest T&Cs

AGREEMENT TO TERMS & CONDITIONS: By participating in the” Express yourself” contest, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Terms and Conditions.

THE CONTEST: To participate in the “#Express yourself ” contest, you can do one or more of the following:

·         Participants have to respond to the question asked by Lenovo India Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #ExpressYourself OR #ValentinesDay.

·         Should be a memory of a childhood crush, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day OR should be a picture of a note to a friend from school/college days of the participant.

In all entries, @lenovo_in (Twitter) / @LenovoIndia (Facebook) needs to be tagged. Winners will be decided basis of the quality and creativity of entries. There will be 1 winner on Facebook and 1 on Twitter. ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to legal residents of India, who are at least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and non-employee workers of Lenovo, Lenovo Affiliates or any agencies involved in the development or execution of the Contest or production or distribution of Contest materials, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each such person,  are not eligible. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest will commence at 10:00 AM on February 12, 2017, and end at 10:00 PM on February 16, 2017.

PRIZE: ●     Two winners will be chosen and will each win a Lenovo surprise - could be headphones, or perfume, or Amazon vouchers or a gift in this theme.

●     The contest winners will be determined based on the quality and appropriateness of his/her entry, and this decision will be at the sole discretion of Lenovo India.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNER: The winners of the contest shall be announced on Twitter & Facebook. For redeeming the prize, the winner should provide such other information/documents as may be requested to verify the winner’s identity and/or eligibility. The winner will have 1 day to respond to the email and provide all the necessary documents and information. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted from the details supplied or does not respond to the email for any reason whatsoever, then the prize will be deemed forfeited, and Lenovo may award the prize to the next eligible winner and/or dispose of the prize in any manner it deems fit, at its sole discretion. Non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions and any other requirements communicated by Lenovo to participants may result in the disqualification of the participant. DISCLAIMER AND WAIVER: Other than the limited warranties that Lenovo may provide in respect of products of Lenovo, the prizes are provided by Lenovo “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, including warranties or conditions of satisfactory quality, merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. Lenovo does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use, validity, accuracy, or reliability of, or the results of the use of, or otherwise in respect of the materials on this site or any sites linked to this site. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Lenovo and/or its agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss, damages or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with the Contest or the acceptance or use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Lenovo, its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees (together, the “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from and against any and all liability and costs incurred by the Indemnified Parties in connection with any claim arising out of (i) your use of or access to the Contest and contest site; (ii) violation of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions; or (iii) violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property or privacy right. This indemnification obligation will survive the expiry of the Contest and termination of this agreement.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: ●     Any persons found cheating, as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Lenovo, will immediately be disqualified from the Contest. Cheating includes using multiple identification numbers, tampering with, hacking of the Contest site, participating in the Contest without meeting the eligibility requirements, using any automated software or device to gain an advantage during the Contest, use of the Contest beyond the defined rules of the Contest, attempting to disable or overwhelm any of the Lenovo Group’s websites or the Contest page, attempting to disrupt any portion of the Contest, including but not limited to, allowing somebody else to use your personal information or tampering with entry process. ●     Lenovo reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who breaches these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the underlying system or the operation of the Contest. ●     Lenovo reserves the right to initiate appropriate legal action including seeking damages from any such person who attempts to deliberately damage Lenovo websites or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest. ●     Lenovo reserves the right to cancel, change, modify or withdraw this Contest and the term & conditions without assigning any reason or without giving any prior notice. ●     Lenovo is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer software and/or equipment, failure of any e-mail account or any combination thereof. ●     By participating in the Contest, participant attest that their entries (and all elements depicted therein) are original and have not been previously published or submitted as entries in any other competition, are created solely by the participant, and that use of the entry (and all elements depicted therein) shall not violate the right of any third parties and are fully in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
