Except the second set, where T.A. Tirante appeared slightly more dominant, the scoreboard pressure got the best out of him as F. Comesana became more aggressive. This was more evident considering the latter's willingness to move forward in the first set, while trying to put the former back at times. Their balance became questioned as the match progressed, but despite T.A. Tirante creating 8 break points, F. Comesana optimized more chances as he converted 50% of his 6 break points.

Interestingly, T.A. Tirante had the advantage on serve, except the aforementioned scoreboard pressure hunting him. Scoring 12 aces than F. Comesana's 7, the second seed won 4% more first serve points than the latter by winning 75% of his first serve points, where he tried to navigate some problems along the way. To add, T.A. Tirante also had the slight edge on his second serves by 1%, winning 57% of his second serve points even though he double-faulted 6 times.

After securing his first Challenger-level title on the hard courts (his third for this year), F. Comesana will stay in the Top 100 as he reached a career-high ranking of 84 by the end of the tournament, ending his season later on in the Temuco Challenger as he will face Joao Lucas Reis da Silva in the first round. However, T.A. Tirante decided to end his season after his runner-up run, sitting 17 lines away to another Top 100 return.

Rory Enrique Conde (born June 14, 1965), a.k.a. "The Tamiami Trail Strangler" is a Colombian-born serial killer who killed six people in Florida, U.S. over a span of 5 months from September 1994 to January 1995. He was sentenced to death on March 7, 2000, and has been on the Florida death row since.

On September 17, 1994, Conde killed cross-dressing male sex worker Lazaro Comesana. He later said that he killed Lazaro after finding out he was a man during sex.

Conde then killed two more sex workers, Elisa Martinez on October 8 and Charity Nava on November 20. On the back and buttocks of Charity he wrote "THIRD! (A happy face dotting the 'i')

Conde then killed three more women: Wanda Crawford on November 25, Necole Schneider on December 17, and Rhonda Dunn on January 12, 1995.

He strangled his victims to death and sodomized their corpses.

The third set then started with six consecutive service game holds, including the one that came from T.A. Tirante's intuitive volley for his service game hold to 3-3. It was not until the ninth game, where the second seed appeared solid with his preceding forehand, but F. Comesana still secured his massive hold to 5-4 despite the former's best chances.

The scoreboard pressure then mounted after T.A. Tirante, where F. Comesana started the game with an equalizer through a working pass two points in. This was followed by the second seed's other forehand error, proceeded by a double fault 2 points later for the latter's initial match point. T.A. Tirante then continued with a working volley to save one of the match points, but another error generated F. Comesana's latest match point before his forehand went too long, thus the third seed took the third set 6-4 to secure his championship.
