Last night’s Coldplay concert is going to be sheared into my memories forever.
By the end of it, I legit looked like a homeless person—messy, sweaty, and drained. But oh, what a beautiful mess it was.
There was this girl holding a poster that said, "Fix You fixed me," and wow, same. Also, let me just say: itni sundar sundar bandiya thi bhai! After last night, I think I might be leaning toward the lesbian side of my bisexuality (less drama more empathy win win). Honestly, idc atp.
Can we talk about Jasleen Royal though? She’s absolutely stunning (and okay, Guy Berryman too). and when she sang Sahiba and Love You Zindagi chills, literal chills.
But here’s a pro tip: don’t—just don’t—go to a concert with your cousins. Worst. Decision. Ever. You can't even flirt back with them present not even a meter away.
To top it all off, people around me were making out while I stood there singing Yellow, crying my fucking heart out. That song is already painful enough, and then add to that the namak of other people’s relationships. I would like to say it again I fucking hate world.
Another pro tip (this one for my future self): listen to your mom. Ditch the boots next time, you idiot. My feet are still screaming, and I could’ve danced so much more without that pain.
Still, 10/10 would relive this chaos again
P.S. I already miss Mumbai
#19 january 2025#next Tomorrowland????? let me save up for that first#I am in so much pain#my whole body is hurting#I just wanna die rn#lemme go to sleep#I have taken a painkiller and one migraine ki goli#my first ever rant here ig#I don't remember#coldplay india tour#coldplay concert#mumbai#coldplay#jasleen royal#desiblr

Coldplay VS Desi Music
Personal Experience: Coldplay can give you an amazing experience, but it is no match for our desi-style music, which directly dives into the heart.
If anybody finds the use of the second song distasteful, then I already apologize.

September 25,2024
Today went by extremely fast. I took a day off from school because I wanted to "catch up on my readings". Should try that less often because I literally just read 10 pages and nothing else.
In another news, I got Coldplay 2025 concert tickets! And I did some fall decoration in my room. When I say decoration, I mean I lit one newly purchased candle and put a new tablecloth (also hung leaf wall hanging on one side). The candle smells like banana bread and cinnamon. Small things count, eh?
Later in the day, to give myself anxiety and induce some productivity, I calculated how much I am costing my father 😀. Pleased to announce that that went well.
End.

Bangtan Sonyeondan: Butter, Permission to Dance & PROOF
BUTTER, MY UNIVERSE & PERMISSION TO DANCE (2021 - 2022)
The group soon added Butter & Permission to Dance to their English song line up, once again with Grace taking the helm of translations and being the first one to sing the songs in full for the boys to then add in their own voices.
Butter, Grace’s all time favourite, soared through the charts. It also earned them their second Grammy nomination. The music video was also another one of Grace’s favourites to film, as she loved the simplicity of the concept - letting the song and the dance do all the talking. Permission to Dance was another easy one for Grace, who revealed on a V-LIVE that the outfits weren’t her favourite to wear and she hated the whole ‘cowboy’ theme but loved the concept behind the song.
(outfit by hobiverse)
She also got to meet her mother’s favourite band, Coldplay. Acting as a translator to the group, she got on extraordinarily well with Chris Martin who signed a couple of pieces for her mother. It also brought Grace a lot of joy when she saw how shy Seokjin acted around Chris Martin, resulting in an endless amount of teasing.
It was an era of busy times but also uncertain times as behind the scenes there were talks of a hiatus, military and other issues. It was also during this time the group left their dorm and moved into their own apartments, which had been bought previously. An unsettling time for Grace who felt like she had finally settled into her role of who she was, who she should be but now there were changes to come.
Permission to Dance on Stage in Seoul allowed Grace to finally be the performer she was.
PROOF (2022 - present)
An anthology album with three new singles - Yet to Come, Run BTS and For Youth. However, this was not a happy time for Grace - it had been announced on 5th December 2021 that the group would be devoting more time to their solo projects and at the end of the final concert for Permission to Dance on Stage in Las Vegas, Proof had been announced.
RUN BTS was by far Grace’s favourite song to perform and one she looked forward to, but the FESTA dinner had put a dampener on things for her. She had sat between Seokjin and Yoongi, mostly quiet for the whole entire thing - she didn’t say much, didn’t even react much to the boys crying and picking at her food. Fans were starting to worry that maybe, just maybe, this might be the end of BTS as an eight-member group as they confirmed they were now living apart, they were now focusing on their solo projects.
Grace’s long-awaited mixtape had been put on the shelves again and meetings with the boys in private as they worked out their plans of who was bringing an album out at what time, who was doing what, etc. made Grace put everything on hold. She was completely in a rut and one she didn’t fully know how to come out of.
After the concert in Busan, when the military enlistment was announced by Seokjin, Grace went into quiet mode. She continued working behind the scenes, did a V-LIVE every now and then but kept quiet on all social media including the Instagram she had opened with the boys. She was there to see Seokjin off on December 13, the two sharing a quiet yet knowing look between them and then the news came that J-Hope was enlisting.
During this entire period, with Namjoon, J-Hope, Yoongi and Jimin releasing their own albums, Grace quietly supported them with ARMY not knowing until the BANGTAN BOMBS were uploaded onto YouTube - Grace even accompanied Jungkook for the World Cup but no mention was made at Grace’s request. She also sent flowers and best wishes to Taehyung while he was in Mexico, once again all kept quiet.
BigHit kept releasing statements that their artist was fine and would be releasing her own album soon, with Grace’s schedule already planned for all the way up to 2025 when her boys would return and they would be eight again.

Is Blockchain the Answer to BookMyShow's Woes?
As matters are investigated and discussed, the company is considering the cancellation of tickets that are being sold under the table. But can blockchain be the answer in the long run?
What could've been a rare opportunity to see one of the most popular British boy bands in history has left a sour taste in the Indian market? Buying tickets for INR 2,500, selling for INR 300,000– this money-minting acumen has landed entertainment ticketing platform BookMyShow in troubled waters and left thousands of fans dejected and furious.
On September 22, the platform announced the sale of Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres' 2025 India leg priced between INR 3,500 and INR 35,000. Over 1.3 crore fans vied for a limited 1.5 lakh tickets to attend one of the three Mumbai shows due in January 2025. Fans complained of long waiting lists, site crashes and alleged foul play since resellers began selling tickets before they were released on the official site.
"I have just been crying. All those people hoarding the tickets just to resell them for more money. Bhagwan maaf nahi karega (crying emojis)," one angry fan wrote.
Soumya Bhatt shared on X that one agent claimed to have 300 tickets. Notably, BookMyShow has allowed for four tickets per user for the event. Many fell prey to fraudulent ticket schemes with one report suggesting the reselling ticket being priced at INR 900,000.
As matters are investigated and discussed, the company is considering canceling tickets that are being sold under the table.
According to the World Economic Forum, the live events industry annually suffers a loss of over USD one billion due to ticket fraud. Allied Market Research notes that the global music event market size is estimated to touch USD 481.4 billion by 2031 from USD 255.6 billion in 2019.
Coldplay is just the beginning, not the end. Lists of upcoming concerts/performances/festivals in India include those of Dua Lipa, Diljit Dosanjh, Bryan Adams, Alan Walker, and Cigarettes After Sex.
Previously, fans complained having a similair reselling experience when buying tickets for Dosanjh's upcoming concerts on Zomato Live.
So, the question arises, can anything be done to prevent another episode of ticket scalping? Blockchain, combined with NFTs and user Verified Identity, could be the key to eliminating the risks of counterfeiting and fraud in the entertainment industry. According to Saurabh Gupta, co-founder and CEO, VeriSmart AI, blockchain can help "create a decentralised, tamper-proof ledger where each ticket appears as unique and verifiable digital assets."
"Fans can purchase tickets with confidence, knowing that they are authentic and traceable back to the original sale," shares Rahul Maradiya, co-founder and global CEO, CIFDAQ.
With the capping of bulk black ticketing or hoarding of tickets, platforms could still allow ticket resale or ownership transfer. This could be done by updating the verified identity credentials linked to the tickets directly on the same platform. "Through smart contracts, event organizers can enforce resale limits, capping ticket prices to prevent scalping," shares Edul Patel, CEO, Mudrex.
According to AWS, blockchain and its complementary technologies could enable access to events at a lower and more transparent cost by optimizing the resale process, promoting collaborative competition among sellers, and providing a more holistic experience for the consumer.
Blockchain adoption has seen a smoother and fairer process in several events. For Patel, using a 'blockchain-based ticketing system is not a new concept.' But is the technology capable enough to handle the scale? "Multiple events of different scales and sizes like UEFA Euro 2020, India VS Pakistan T20 World Cup and many more events such as music festivals, tournaments and others that have used blockchain technology for ticketing," shares Patel.
"Insights from these implementations reveal that blockchain's decentralized nature significantly reduces the risks associated with traditional ticketing systems, where a single point of failure can lead to vulnerabilities. Furthermore, the transparency provided by blockchain allows both organizers and attendees to verify ticket authenticity in real-time, fostering a more secure environment for everyone involved," shares Maradiya.
Furthermore, Layer 2 solutions, Decentralized Applications (dApps), Load Balancing Techniques, and Dynamic Scalability can help cope with high transaction volumes.
According to industry players, while blockchain may lead to an initial increase in upfront costs for technology, development, and maintenance, it can be offset in the long run. "Over time, the efficiency, transparency, and enhanced fan engagement offered by blockchain can outweigh the initial costs, making it a cost-effective solution for both companies and consumers in the long run, " shares Patel.
According to Allied Market Research, the global live events industry market is projected to reach USD 1.2 trillion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 5.9 per cent from 2023 to 2032. "Tickets can be resold safely without scalpers or bots inflating their prices. The technology is scalable enough to handle massive events like the Coldplay concert, ensuring that ticketing is reliable and efficient. Up to millions of tickets would be processed without complications," notes Gupta.

Furthermore, the transparency provided by blockchain allows both organizers and attendees to verify ticket authenticity in real-time, fostering a more secure environment for everyone involved," shares Maradiya. Furthermore, Layer 2 solutions, Decentralized Applications (dApps), Load Balancing Techniques, and Dynamic Scalability can help cope with high transaction volumes.According to industry players, while blockchain may lead to an initial increase in upfront costs for technology, development, and maintenance, it can be offset in the long run.
