I've been seeing so many of these - at first on the Cyprus trees I thought they were a plant, until I saw several on this fence.

I'm in northern Oklahoma, is this a larval pod? Quite hardy, will kill a tree if you let them.

Looks like a bagworm moth cocoon! Probably an evergreen bagworm moth. And yes they can definitely kill or seriously damage a tree if there are a lot of them. This one is interesting since it doesn't have the normal debris attached to the cocoon that they use as camouflage:

Well, we didn't win guys...but lets not be sore losers! Congrats to Cocoon!

Even though one of my favorite games this year didn't win, I'm still glad for Cocoon, it's developers, and it's fans. There's always next time guys. We still got the Steam game awards coming up at least so maybe we'll win something there.
